In my opinion, probably the best doggy daycare and boarding in Little Rock. The newest of the four Hounds Lounge locations, West Little Rock is lucky to have this expansion. I was new to the area and had researched many daycare places for my large pup. I visited big and small places, but this Hounds Lounge location was the most convenient to my WLR home and was the nicest of the bunch. The interior is nicely kept and the staff are always welcoming. There are several DIY wash stations full stocked. They also offer professional grooming/bathing which I took advantage of since my pup is a handful to bathe. They also offer a complimentary day of daycare if you book a grooming session, which is super nice. The yard is separated into big and small dog areas both indoor and out. When I visited there was an overwhelming amount of dogs, but was told that weekends tend to be fairly busy. I usually do early in the week when it doesn't get too packed. Compared to many other boarding places, Hounds Lounge has the best facilities. While others use caged and crated kennels, hounds lounge has nice large suites for the residents. This is definitely where I would go if I ever needed a boarding service. Overall I don't have much to complain. My pup leaves me without hesitation every time I drop her off. That's usually a good sign of a happy day ahead. read more

I've had to use this business several times for boarding/overnight care, but this will be the last. Staff is consistently rude. I paid extra for my golden retriever to receive an "exit bath". I picked her up and she was completely wet and stinky. Staff said she must played in the yard with other dogs after the bath. Upon asking if she even received the bath I paid for, staff stated they would re-bathe her. I received a text that she was ready for pickup and again, she was completely wet and smelled like a wet dog. Staff stated that "she just has too much hair". For a premium price point (where they also consistently ask for a tip) this level of service is unacceptable. read more

Looks nice but they discriminate against certain breeds or people. My pup goes to another place and she has never had issues. As a matter of fact we moved here from Dallas and we never had any issues with her daycare there. Either this plachad a problem with me or my pup breed because wtf The only reason why i kept coming here was to finish off the package days i purchased back in May...i called for the past 2 weeks to make sure my pup could come and all records were up to date. When i go to drop her off the say she needs a letter after THEY called my vet the week before and confirmed she was clear and only have allergies . This caused me to be late this morning. I asked for a refund for the 2 remaining days and they had the nerve to get aggressive and say i wont be able to use their services again. I HAVENT BEEN ABLE TO USE THE SERVICES ANY DAMN WAY...the audacity. read more

I don't generally use the grooming services so I cannot comment on the people who have concerns on that issue but I do use boarding and doggie daycare. My dogs are always played out when they come home from doggie day care and they are well treated when boarding. I have one dog who gets very nervous when away from home and doesn't always eat. They hand feed her to ensure that she does not miss out on getting a meal. I'm very happy with how they treat my fur babies. read more

After my 3 or 4th time Their communication is terrible you can show them pictures of your dogs and how you want them cut and groomed and they will MESS IT UP and DO WHATEVER IS EASIEST FOR THEM. I Highly do NOT RECOMMEND you have Melanie cut your dogs hair. I called several times spoke with all the managers and they won't even compensate a free haircut for Cosmo for next time when they Messed him up. They can't fix something they messed up on and I'm not even the type to leave a yelp review but the situation is that bad that it's come to this point. All the managers copped an attitude with me saying all the groomers are commissioned so we can't offer a discount which isn't my problem and was never discussed when dropping the dogs off. My dog looks terrible he was natted up a lil bit but not bad enough to shave him all the way down. I pay good money for my dogs to come here to get groomed. You would think a hounds lounge is such a striving company they wouldn't need commissioned groomers. read more

Very sad the way we were treated at our last visit! Chaotic and very stressful time for us! We will NEVER take any pets back there!

I have been bringing my Newfoundland to Hounds Lounge for years. Years. I took her to Rebsamen the first few years and West LR the last several. They claim to love her. Yet today they tell me she will no longer be allowed to be groomed there. Did she get aggressive? Bite a person or another animal? No . . . she's a teddy bear. She is old and has trouble standing the whole time. Her leg would slip off the table is what they said. So she is turned away. There was no offer of another solution, such as maybe paying more to have someone else assist the groomer. Nope. She is not welcome there anymore. I hope you don't plan on your dog aging if you get him/her groomed there. They apparently reach a point that they will not accommodate physical disabilities. Very disappointed. read more

This is the worst place to get your dog groomed. Do not go here. They shaved our dog without permission and claimed that my dad said it was fine to shave him even though he never said that. They miss treat animals and do not take any ownership for problems that they create. They have horrible management and the worst people skills I have ever seen. Your dog will also only smell good for about 1 hour after grooming. I would never recommend this place to anyone that I know. read more
