The demo work was very messy but Dakota was very careful to clean any debris left as he was transporting it out of the unit. He talked with me before he started to ensure he understood the vision and the look I was going for, as well as to ensure there wouldn't be any surprises or concerns raised afterwards. Dakota finished the work faster than I anticipated and always checked that I was satisfied with the finished product before he considered it done. We then had them add French doors. Start to finish, the company was responsive, answered all of my questions, and gave a fair and reasonable quote. One of the qualities that I appreciate about Peter and his crew was their attention to detail. They made sure that everything matched our home (such as moldings, casings, and creating a natural look) and truly took the time to make sure that their work was quality. They communicated well throughout the project and finish in a timely manner. I would absolutely hire them in the future for other jobs in our home.

Tech was running behind on another job and they called to let me know. They were happy to still come same day. I suggested them coming the next day as I had something I needed to do. They called the following morning as promised and were here as expected. On my initial call in I explained the issue with our opener and asked for a ballpark. They actually gave me a ballpark, unlike the other big companies. Very reasonably priced and they were happy to hook up the sensors I had on hand correctly as opposed to trying to sell me new ones. The tech was very courteous and pleasant. He even got everything "greased" up and explained to me how to do that myself. I asked him to change the burnt out bulbs and he was happy to do so as I couldn't reach them. A+ folks and A+ business practices. Happy to have a working opener again after spending hours trying to fix it myself, should have called them first. Keep up the great work.

I received an estimate from Ervin Bros. Painting LLC and at that time I mentioned to Shane Ervin…read morethat we would be replacing the flooring. On the first day they arrived, they were putting canvases on the floor and he told his workers that we were replacing the flooring so they didn't have to be that careful. I reminded them, I would not be replacing the flooring right away so please be careful. Ervin Bros. painted our family room and loft area walls and removed our popcorn ceilings and replaced it with Spanish lace. They started March 18th and finished on March 20th. I paid them in full on that date. (March 20, 2020) After they finished the painting, they removed the scaffolding and canvases from the floor. I noticed several drips all over the floors and one area where they spilt a can of paint on the carpet. They tried to clean it up by removing the excess paint and left the rest on the carpet. (I have not complained about the sloppiness and damage to the flooring.) After they left on that Friday, I called Shane the following Tuesday and mentioned three small areas that needed touched up. He said he would be here that Wednesday or Thursday. Since then I have left several phones messages and an email on April 10, 2020. I was only able to reach him April 16th when I used someone else's phone. (He is apparently ignoring my phone calls.) He said he was staying home because of the state shut down for the pandemic. He said when he could go back to work again "I would be first on his list" to do the touch ups. My final phone message was on July 20th. By that time, Indiana was in stage 4.5 which should allow him to complete the job. This is August 3rd and I have yet to hear from him. I had a friend call him today about a painting job and Shawn said he is booked four to six weeks out. He is doing business and he has NOT contacted me to finish this job. I noticed on Ervin's web page it states a "30-day touch-up warranty" and a "2-year paint failure warranty". It also states an "Award winning company dedicated to customer satisfaction". I think he has failed to live up to reasonable expectations let alone winning any awards. I would NOT RECOMMEND Ervin Bros. for any work you need done.

We are having the popcorn ceiling removed and retextured with spanish lace. All the workers are nice, down to earth guys that take pride in their work. It's a messy job, and we knew that going in, but they thoroughly clean up at the end of each day, even after telling them to not worry about little areas that much. If any equipment is left behind for the next day of work they always ask if it's ok to leave things in the house. Shane is very involved in the process, doesn't cut corners, and can tell he enjoys what he does. He just wants the customer to be happy with the final product. If something isn't right or ready to be moved on to the next step, it doesn't move to the next step till they are certain it will turn out well. You don't get that level of care/concern from a lot of contractors these days. Can't say enough good things about these guys!
