Shortly after writing this review, I called House of Hansen for Gerald and left a message. He promptly and politely called me back, notifying me that my fascia is on the way. He apologized because he said that they just had a new set of employees who needed training. Sure enough, true to his word, I received my fascia about a week later on the West Coast. It was beautiful. He replaced the drops and extended the waist length. I am always surprised by the quality when I receive things from House of Hansen. After putting it on, it fitted me like a glove. The drops look immaculate. Though this mid-west business could be slow, being that they're the only family-owned company of this kind in the entire North America (I can only imagine how many orders they do nationally and internationally), it might be about a quarter to a half year until you receive your items. However, when you do receive the item, like the prodigal son, you rejoice exuberantly. Hence, 4 stars. Five stars for quality, but deduct 1 star for the often slow response times. read more

Similar to other reviews, I ordered a custom cassock and surplice and it took nearly 8 months to get to me. The cassock is excellent in every way though the surplice was the incorrect style. I mentioned this error to them and they said they would remake it and, after calling them several times, I have given up hope of receiving the surplice I ordered. The workmanship was good, the quality of materials used is good, the customer service (though pleasant) is gravely inadequate. read more

I was walking down the block looking for a taqueria when I happened on this store filled with wonderfully colored cassocks & vestments. Standing outside and peering into the window I could see pastoral gear, suits and other religious swag. Most of their stock includes: objects of worship & prayer, communion accessories (ie wafers, cups, cup carriers), Jesus pieces (crosses, rosaries and pins) and mannequins adorned in the latest fashions of cassocks. Concerning rosaries I had hoped they would have a larger selection. Much of their stock is plastic. I'm not of the Catholic faith but I've always wanted to have a rosary for prayers. May just end up going the custom route via a jeweler. Inside the shop it feels like a suit store and I kinda found myself wanting to try on a vestment or two. The store is quiet. What's unknown to us is that there are dressmakers working on stitching in the back of the store. After some looking around I ended up with a few pins, a small rosary and a plaque of the cross. My visit happened before Easter and the cross was purchased as a gift just in time for the season. This is mainly a shop for pastors and deacons. The selections of other items I mentioned above are in small quantity, so it is unlike most Christian bookstores with gifts. read more
