We lost nearly $600 by purchasing tickets though HoT. Five of us made a trip to the venue, and the show was cancelled last minute. HoT not only refused to refund me (though HoT would be refunded by Ticketmaster), they were rude and awful to deal with in the process and essentially told me to get bent. As others mention, they also charge FedEx fees for printed tickets when they could easily and more safely and conveniently email PDFs. They seem to be here to rip people off, and that's about it. Shortly after purchasing tickets online, I received a phone call from Bruce stating that tickets could not be mailed because billing address was different than shipping address. I advised Bruce that I was in the process of a move and that the change of address had not been completed and I wasn't sure when it would be done. He stated that he refused to send the tickets because it sounds like fraud. Representative was extremely rude during conversation. I stated to him that if he was unable to provide tickets, then I should receive a refund. He refused to issue a refund and stated "well I guess you're out of luck". I did not receive the tickets via mail. Subsequently, I completed my move so my billing and shipping address now match. I called and spoke with Bruce again on 06/24. I advised him that the shipping/billing address now matched. He put me on hold and came back and said "yes, I was able to verify it now". I then asked when my tickets would be sent. He then advised me that he had sold my tickets to someone else, even though he had not issued me a refund. I asked him to issue me a refund again. He stated to give him until Wednesday 06/26 to "try to find you some more". On 06/26, I did not hear from Bruce or anyone from the organization so I submitted an email. This email was not responded to. On 06/27 I called and no one will return my call. He did end up sending the tickets, last minute, via overnight mail simply because I filed a complaint with BBB. Then, just when I thought my troubles were over, the concert was cancelled. I contacted him again requesting a refund. He said it had been rescheduled. To date (08/18), the concert still hasn't been rescheduled. Every website I've gone to just says that it's cancelled. Bruce then again went unresponsive. I finally called my credit card and got the charges disputed. He's failed to respond to my BBB complaints. Avoid this man unless you want to deal with the most argumentative CSR you've ever dealt with. read more

A friend of mine bought 4 tickets to a concert for a venue in Virginia. She was not paying close attention when she googled the site to buy tickets. She ended up on this website by mistake (thinking she was on Wolftrap's website) and bought tickets here instead of through the Venue website. The four tickets that should have cost $138.00 with fees on the Venue website ended up costing her $290.00 with all the "fees tacked on". They charged her a face value of $56 per ticket verses $30 plus over $65 for fees. She ended up paying more than double the charges! Keep in mind this was not a sold out concert and these are lawn seats. Buyer beware!!!!! , beware, beware!!!!! Moral of the story, pay close attention to the website you are buying from and check multiple sources before you hit the buy key. Super scam. I purchased tickets through mastertickets/house of tickets (a play on ticketmaster??). Didn't realize until after the fact that I was paying more than double the ticket price. Upon complaining and bringing this to the attention of house of tickets, basically told to go pound sand, as I had signed terms and conditions (which I had). However, this does not excuse an unethical and immoral scam. I am pissed and will be reaching out to the BBB, the Washington State AG's office, and the venue. Like Alex wrote previously, I am going through the same thing. The center holding the concert sent me to the House of Tickets website and I made a purchase from them thinking they were a legitimate business. After purchasing the tickets, that night we found out that our friends purchased tickets for a different location and we called to try to get a refund. We were told that there were no refunds and that we would have to deal with reselling the tickets ourselves. It was our mistake so we just decided to bite the bullet and do that. HOWEVER. We received a call from the staff saying that our billing address did not match the shipping address and so our tickets could not be sent. I was in the process of moving as well and I could not understand why they could not distinguish a difference between a billing and shipping address if I was able to provide both. They, like with the previous person, said it was to prevent fraud. So a week after driving back to where I used to live and changing my address with the bank, I called them back. They said it STILL was not recognized as being changed in their system and to call back tomorrow. That's where I am currently. I'm calling back tomorrow and I'm sure I will deal with the same rude CSR who has been giving me a hard time since the beginning. This is a terrible place! DO NOT BUY FROM HERE! read more

This company is the worst! Purchased tickets for a concert in Sept. My tickets arrived however they were for the wrong date. I emailed the representative (Bruce) and he emailed me back right away stating he was sorry for the mixup and in a few hours I'll receive an email with shopping info for the correct tickets. a few days passed and I never received any emails so I sent another email to Bruce and one to the company. nobody replied so I called my credit card company, and got a refund. Please don't use house of tickets for your ticket purchase. I was way overcharged for lawn tickets to Santana. I wish I would have checked the reviews on this before purchasing. If I did, I would have went to Ticketmaster. House of Tickets charged$156 for $67 tickets. That doesn't include the additional charges. I will never again use them. My experience was the same as the others. WAY overpriced tickets, advertised on the site as limited, that are in fact in abundant supply and I did not know the face value until they came. Indeed a lesson learned. The $21 tickets cost me, with fees, $59 each. I do not begrudge them charging a fee for the convenience but it is outrageous. These people are complete crooks, but shame on me for not suspecting it. I bought two lawn tickets for the Boston Pops John Williams performance at (what should have been) $21 apiece. The site said that limited quantities were available, and they were priced at $43 a piece. I really wanted to go, so I grabbed them, only to find my credit card charged $120 and that there was, in fact, no shortage...and the tickets are on sale at the door for $21 each.
