The quick summary of what this event is? A series of interviews with supposed "experts" in the field of dating about how to find the "one". I put experts in quotes because a few of the interviewees were anything but, IMHO. I felt the first interviewee had her head hopelessly in the clouds, advocating a plan of detailing each and every minute feature of their perfect mate. To me it came across as borderline obsessive focus on details, even though I know she almost certainly meant to convey a less hard and fast approach. However, no matter how you spin this, I don't see this as healthy, realistic or even remotely applicable. People, relationships and attraction are just too diverse to ever put in a box.
The 2nd, 3rd and 4th speakers were decent, and carried themselves in a way where you felt you might actually be able to learn something from them. This part of the show I enjoyed somewhat.
The 5th and 6th speakers I felt were completely irrelevant, and could almost have been randomly selected.
So as you can guess, my overall feeling on this wasn't great, but having said that, I was the complete antithesis of the target market for this. The title should have given it away.....yes, I admit that. This was heavily aimed at woman who want to settle down and get married. From the write-up of the event I felt it was equally aimed at both sexes, and was more an exploration of the dating game and psychology of attraction (neither of these aspects featured much), and was going to be a little more academic in nature.
