I called 2 weeks later spoke to I believe the service manager. Was told part was on order. Called about a month later to follow up again was told they would get back to me, no call. I give up. I get a bill in the mail about 5 months later. So I call them, talked to that same manager who says I vaguely remember this I dont know what happened. So he sets an appointment to come and look at it. Guess what NO SHOW NO CALL...... WOW IS ALL I CAN SAY.

In fact, I was overwhelmingly positively impressed! I ended up having him do inspections of a few houses before I bought mine and Jeremy's reports were fantastic. He was amazingly thorough and I had total confidence in each report and that I was able to make an informed purchasing decision. Now that I have a house, it also helped me prioritize repairs and upgrades. I was fortunate enough to get a turnkey house but knowing about outlets that were wired backwards and other odds and ends of things allowed me to spend a bit of time early on making sure that the house is safe and secure. I'll add that Jeremy's reports are top notch. He even found spots where the roofers used the wrong nails and called those out for me. I honestly don't think that if I spent a day crawling around every inch of the place that I could find a single thing he missed. Radon levels in the basement are a little above norm but not outrageously so and that gives me peace of mind as well. With Jeremy's report in hand, we were able to prioritize and asked the seller to fix the major issues knowing that we'd need to pick up the minor issues ourselves. Eventually we discovered VW Docks, which has been in the business of designing, building, and installing modular units since 1959. They're made of Western Red Cedar and can be installed, removed, raised, and lowered by one person without getting in the water. It's a pretty slick system. And even though my Dad is as healthy as a horse at 82 and his children have scattered to Albany, Maple Grove, West Des Moines, and Taipai, its OK (and fairly cheap) to have someone else do the seasonal dock work. We also appreciate the chance to sit on that sturdy VW Dock and enjoy the view.
