At trial he saved his opening statement for a later time and when that time came, boy did it have an impact. He asked questions to the expert witness from the state, questions that had never been asked. He is highly respected by every one I watched him interact with. I would trust my life to this gentleman. At trial he kept asking the courts to use the defense of necessity only to be denied time and time again. The necessity defense has rarely been used because the threshold is a lot. I believe there are 6 things that have to be found true. At the end of the trial the judge granted his request for his defense.
