It is split across Northbound and Southbound, the Northbound is the larger of the two Here you will find TWO different Starbucks locations as well as a Little Waitrose and Partners, WHSmith, Subway and a Ramada Hotel in a separate building. The Southbound side is a little smaller but still has good facilities including a Starbucks, WHSmith and a Post box, with a large parking area and petrol station (very overpriced petrol) on both sides. On the bridge connecting the two, there is a KFC and Burger King - so plenty of choice across both services for fast food. The bridge is fairly modern, it has the benefit of being fully inside so you do not need to leave the service station and go back out again, do be advised that the Northbound side does NOT have an elevator, it has an upwards escalator, and a staircase. The southbound side however has an upwards escalator, and an elevator - It was a little odd how they only had escalators in one direction and an elevator/lift on one side, but at least I got my exercise for the day! I always visit service stations on Christmas Day for something to do, they always seem to have basic facilities here including at least Starbucks and one of their stores open, alongside the usual bathroom/shower facilities. Fairly clean and modern, nothing too exciting but well worth calling in as a stop-off point along your journey. 4*

There's also a KFC, Burger King, WHSmith, and a Games room. 2 hours free parking and disabled bays right next to the entrance. A petrol station and a Day's Hotel are at one side.

It is always a good start for our trip and the toilets are excellent before we get on the coach .last time on our way back I left my rucksack near the car park and after ringing the service office a very kind lady from there travelled 45 mins out of her way to bring to me . What a tremendous thing to do .she is a credit to the company and I send my heart felt thanks to her

The people in here make me laughter too, they think they have some special status because there in a service station. Some Guy is currently blabbing on his phone about a deal..he is not doing this quietly however. The overall forecourt is modern and stands out, which is typical of Texaco, I also like how they have InPost lockers here, where you can pull up and park right outside, which is becoming a more popular method from many companies who offer returns, as InPost lockers offer quick and easy contactless returns. The petrol is a little bit more expensive compared to Tesco and Asda locations, both of which are a short drive around the road, and the shop area could do with a refurb even if it is just basic twitches, as that doesn't seem to have been improved in years. 3* - OK, useful stop along Rochdale Road but really could do with a refurbishment and slightly lower petrol pricing.

Now I frequent a lot of services in the course of my working life. This is one of the better ones,…read morewhilst it (and all service stations) will suffer from over pricing on refreshments and fuel that is what they are. The forecourt is a good size and I always find a pump to fill up at without cueing, which I think is always a bonus. The additional services include a cafe and KFC. So if you are hungry and in need of refreshment this service station will provide. There is plenty of space to park up and have a break from the monotony of driving. If you are that way inclined they even have a car wash on site if you need to arrive wherever in a clean car you can do this to. Not to mention the often most important thing you want at a service station, the toilet they have them and they are clean ;-)

Petrol of course is the main reason to visit BP and their prices are low at the moment. Staff are really friendly and very efficient so there is rarely a long queue like in many petrol stations. Also, it is situated very conveniently on the Formby by-pass and is easy to spot.

I saw a car on ebay for sale and it was made out to seem from Paul Price Cars as the pictures advertised were at the front of the dealership. I purchased the car in full after viewing it at Paul Price Cars in Oldham and was provided with a warranty. Two months later, after only doing around 300 miles on the car, it had a problem with the brakes and callipers - yes he seems to have sorted the problem but the attitude he had was disgusting, the guy was rude and belittling, he kept saying he's "been doing this job too long, he knows what he's on about" and acting like I didn't know what I was talking about, even thought i was worried about the brakes on the car. When he returned the car to my grandad (as i was working at the time) my grandad questioned him making sure he had repaired the part, he shouted at my grandad saying there's nothing wrong with the car now. As he was leaving, after being very aggressive towards my grandad he threw my car keys on the floor and slammed the car door, forcing my grandad, a nearly 70 year old man, to then have to pick them up. - absolutely disgusting and unprofessional behaviour. When I bought the car he made it seem like a proper dealership sale, providing me with a receipt with his dealership name on the top, as well as being very friendly telling me to bring the car back if i have any problems or ever in the future needed work doing, but now there's an issue with the car he's saying it was a private sale. He told me I should of sorted this problem myself instead of returning to his dealership. I ended up having to pay for the work myself. To make things worse, he has now blocked my phone number and even said he would block my grandad's - this is how little he cares about after-sales support. The whole experience has been horrible. Rude, aggressive, dishonest - I wouldn't want anyone else to go through what I have. Stay away.

Trying to sell me some bag of nails that had been sat on their forecourts for too long. I knew what I wanted in my mind but they kept dodging what I wanted and showed me something completely different which really, really irritated me. Buying a car is a big decision and I was made to feel that what I wanted wasn't right... when I stopped off at Paul Price, I met Mike who just let me know that if I needed him, he'd be in the office. I was free to roam. There are no "salesmen" here breathing down your neck waiting to earn their commission off you. I had a look around on my own for a good 20 minutes before going into the office to have a chat. Mike actually asked me "what car are you looking for?" So we had a chat and he gave me a few options before I said I liked one of the Astra's on the forecourt. He grabbed the keys, took me out for a test drive and explained everything about the car. Age, mileage, where they bought it from and everything in between! We got back to the office and I bought the car there and then! Since buying the car, I have taken it back for 2 services and MOT's and it's also had a couple of minor repairs done here. You just give them a ring, they ask when it's best for you to come down or they'll arrange collection and drop off and they get the job done quickly. The after sales care is truly outstanding! In the 2 years that I've been going to this garage, I have met Paul, Mike, Patrick and his younger brother (I've forgotten his name though!) and the mechanic himself, And I know that as soon as I need anything, I can give them a call and they'll get it sorted for me. I'm so happy I bought from this dealer... they've really got the customer at the heart of everything they do and it's like being welcomed into the family. My customer loyalty will now be with Paul Price. Keep up the amazing work
