They can help you with things such as how to take care of your yoyo like how to clean your bearings and change the pads. The place is big enough for people to hang out and just yoyo. They also have Kendama which is a traditional Japanese skill toy, usually made from wood. They have a meeting for those interest every Thursday in the afternoon. I bought a Rybička (knife/keychain) about 10 years ago. It was an amazing price and it has lasted on my keychain this whole time, it's still sharp too! But let's just say, hypothetically, that the scenario of my being a monster, -er, I mean 'mother', did come true... this is the place they'd be allowed a treasure from. None of that Babys R Us hullabaloo for my babe. This shop carries handmade wooden toys, crafted so magnificently that they'd likely last through several generation of family. They had all the classic wooden toys; ie trains, banks, those paddle-feet doggy things, and so much more, as well as some really unique marionettes that appeared to be of equal quality. To top it off, the shop woman was just lovely, like a really warm and welcoming grandmother (but a young-ish one) and just made you want to spend more time in the store that a weekend away in Cesky Krumlov would allow. There are one or to other toy shops in town, but I rather liked this one. Toys were unisex and built to last, but still pretty affordable all things considered.

Lots of well decorated cookies, from animal shape to Christmas decorations. It is fun to browse around. Downstairs they have an area where you can decorate you own cookies (and a clean bathroom is down there). I bought a few of their cookies, which the staff will tell you stay fresh for months if you keep them in the bag, so they make a nice souvenir or gift to take home. Price is fair, around 45-170 Czech depending on size of the cookie. They day earlier I had passed through a gingerbread store where the cookies were homemade and decorated, but double the price! So try out Prague sweets for the homemade feel for much less money.

Well, you can if you have no heart nor love for ginger. I just happen to have love for ginger. It's not really a museum but a very cute store selling 90% of gingerbread, decorated in creative ways. It's difficult for you to step out without wanting to buy a little bit of everything. It's a small store but I must have spent 20 minutes in there looking at everything and deciding what to get. Finally decided and bought a couple gingerbread cookies and a gingerbread ornament - like to replace that missing bow in your hair, perhaps ? I've gotta say I'm grossly disappointed. The cookies must have been older than that condom in your wallet! They were so stale and tasteless .. and just terrible. The one in the shape of an ornament was super dry and hard, not the crispy type of hard but the break-your-teeth hard. What a shame. I can only image that they mass produce these cookies and just let them sit there for weeks, if not months, until some sucker tourist who don't know better, come in and buy them. I'm just glad I didn't soften up, go all out and bought the gingerbread mansion!

The vendors mostly feature produce (fruits and vegetables), a honey vendor, a cured meat and spices stand, a couple baked goods spots, a vintage/local handicrafts shop, a few souvenir stands. I came in the morning around 8am on a weekday and many of the stands were just setting up. Honestly the majority of Prague seems to buy their groceries at supermarkets so while this format is great in continuity of a tradition, though I'm not sure if it can sustain in its current form over the long run. Hours are January to December: Mon-Sat 7:00am to 7:00pm Sun 8:00am to 6:30pm
