George is great. Handled the transfer of a weapon from Los Angeles to Houston. It was painless in Houston. Not so in Los Angeles.

You might only care about this review if you are a gun owner that might want to have some custom work or some real bling done. I would certainly check them out if that's what you want. I went by to see about some custom work because I knew they might be able to help plus they're close by in the NW area (610&290). A huge plus because honestly, there are not many of these around the area. I'm amazed at the progress of customizations that have evolved..decoratively speaking. I have not done any transfers to them but I think they do them reasonably cheap. read more

I had the most awesome weekend taking the Women's 101: Basic Handgun Class f/HTX Tactical. The class was divided into 2 days with approx 2-hr each day. The 1st day was to go over the Universal Safety Rules and demonstrations on how to manipulate (a new terminology that I learned) your handgun. The 2nd day consists of outdoor shooting practice. It was @ a beautiful private barn and it was great to be out. Our instructors Paul, Michelle and Keith were so awesome! The class was not only informative but fun and practical. They are so patient, caring and passionate in making sure everyone gets the best out of this class. All instructors + students were completely immersed w/the entire experience. I def recommend all beginners to take it no matter what beginner level you are at. Everyone @ HTX Tactical is super knowledgeable, nice, helpful and sweet! This is a very kids friendly & family-oriented store. They have this cute dog Ace at the store that I absolutely adore! read more

I recently used HTX as an FFL for a firearm that I purchased on Gunbroker. My old FFL had gone out of business and I was searching for a new one. HTX advertised that their fee was only $15 so I thought I would try them. I was very pleased with HTX. They contacted me within 24 hours of receiving the firearm and my pickup was easy and friendly. Finding FFL's who charge only $15 is rare and I would definitely use them again. They just moved into a new store location with more room to show their products. HTX Tactical has all the general firearms you would find in any sporting store or gun store but at double the price. they have a high mark-up for some very basic firearms. I would not recommend purchasing from here if you are just buying an EDC. I will say they do really good custom work if you have a vision in mind for your weapon. while it won't be budget friendly, it will be good work and craftsmanship. read more

Before coming here, read the bad reviews. I live 45 minutes away and was very disappointed. I walk in at 10:00am, and walked out at 10:04. I guess they are more focused on having guns to post on Instagram than having guns to sell. I went there for a sig P320 that was customized. The first gun I see is a customized P320. I asked to see it, and was told that there guns are display only. What's the point of having a gun store if your guns are display only? First and last time coming here. Not a very professional business.. There's has been multiple times when I would drop off my firearms and order the parts they recommend (which I trusted at first). I waited about a month still no call or update on my parts or firearms. So I decided to call them, and they told me that I had ordered the wrong parts.. when they are the ones that told me it would fit my firearms. How do you not know it fitted in the first place?? Ridiculous.. I'm going to stop shopping with them. Some how there parts are always "backordered" and never update customers with there installs. read more

By far the worst gun shop in Houston, TX. Took my pistol to get serviced for a trigger job and was told it could take up to 2 weeks to get it fixed. Long story short, I paid $***.** to get a guaranteed trigger fix and ended up waiting 5 weeks just to be told to send it back to the pistol manufacture to get it fixed... The service was absolutely great even though they were slammed. I watched them actually teach somebody about the different rounds and potentials with each round for the customers desired purpose. Since it was the persons first AR build I greatly appreciate they were honest, thorough, and not just looking to run their bill up. Worst place you can take your guns to get custom work. Had mine sitting there for 5 months told me it would take them 4 weeks finally got tired of waiting so picked it up got it back disassembled had to order new parts. Their staff didn't even know what was going on smh customer service just sucks overall. They make me wait a whole month after they tell me it will take 2 weeks at first for my glock to get cut for a red dot and then They cut it for a different sight and on top of that they didn't drill the holes right in the slide and and it striped a screw and it snapped off in the slide. Sent my boyfriend here after knowing about this place for about a year or so. He said they were super nice and helpful. He needed quite a few things for his AR for a class, and they installed everything, and had everything he needed! They do give a 10% military/law enforcement discount which he definitely appreciated.
