Have been coming to Boky for many years. But it's recently gone through some major renovations…read moremaking look a bit more nicer, using iPad menus to order, a whole new and much shorter menu, and a new name: Asia Garden. But the food remains good, and always a nice option among the other Chinese restaurants in the area. Also good that they open late, to midnight on most nights.

For the weird time, it was still pretty crowded. Vietnamese spring rolls - tasted like they left it in the fryer for a tad too long Salt and pepper fried squid - the flavor was okay, but it wasn't really that crispy. This had the opposite problem of the spring rolls. Chicken and salted fish fried rice - very little salted fish. In fact, I'm not sure there was even any in there because I didn't really taste the salted fish. It was pretty much just chicken fried rice, which wasn't bad. Beef with vegetables - pretty standard. The portions are small (at least compared to NYC) but with the amount we ordered, it was enough for two people. We had some leftovers. So if you are doing family style and have a large group, you might want to order a bit more. I'm not sure how many other Chinese restaurants are in town but I'm thinking there has to be a better one somewhere. Basic food aside, the atmosphere is kind of shady. Apparently there's a gambling machine in the back by the restroom, with shady dudes hanging around by it and smoking cigarettes. Maybe takeout and bringing it back to the hotel would have been a better option.

I walk by this place every single day on my way to class, so I figured I had to try it out! The…read morefood itself is OK, and prices, while average for the city of Geneva, are pretty steep in comparison to 1) what I'm used to in the US and 2) my budget as a student. Service was excellent though; our server was very sweet and service was fast. I probably won't return--I'm always on the hunt for cheap but delicious food in Geneva, and Jardin du Bonheur, unfortunately, does not fall into that category.

Plus it had been a while since we had some Chinese food. Might as well try it here in Geneva; it is claimed to be the world's melting pot. So let's give it a try. Be warned, if you're from USA, it will hurt your heart and pocket all at the same time. You will cry during ur meal too. Not the restaurant's fault that were poor compared to Switzerland. All that aside, we got the fried rice w shrimp and won't soup. Both were delish! Cooked to order. The owner was cool to let us order and sit down so close to closing time. She spoke French, Cantonese, and some English. So if u don't speak those languages point at the menu. Felt like I was at home. Fresh food just like my mama makes it.

We went to this place to have lunch and ordered food and drinks. We got our drinks. The staff are…read moreextremely nonchalant about their customers, however, our drinks arrived with a small dish of fried heavily salted peanut which also had a fried worm. We called one of the waiting staff and he come and acknowledged that it was a worm and was apologetic and took to the 2 ladies in the front and then after 10 mins, came back told us that it is dried peanut. Like 2 of us and their other waiting staff are stupid and blind. The nonchalance of finding worm is the food is a shock. Since this shows this is not the first time and they are aware of this. Disgusting place. Don't go there, they should actually be sealed shut. We refused to eat there, and left. They waived the drink charges and we didn't pay. Mind you, they did this for so called 'dried peanut'. Do yourself a favour and go few blocks down and eat elsewhere. Don't eat in this shitty wormy place.

This restaurant was advertised to me as very authentic and good Chinese food. While it wasn't bad,…read moreit was fairly standard for the most part, so I can only assume that Chinese cuisine is not Geneva's forte. We swung over during our lunch break, and ordered the steam bok chai, chicken with szechuan sauce, beef with black bean,a nd tofu in soy sauce--a pretty good sampling of their cuisine. The beef was my favorite, with the tofu coming in a close second. The black bean on the beef was flavorful but not too salty or overbearing, and my tastebuds almost jumped in pleasant surprise at the first bite. Although that was the extent of any dramatic reaction the food induced, the tofudish was also very good, especially the mushrooms (if only there had been more!). The bok chai was pretty standard but went well with the hot sauce. The chicken was my least favorite, as the meat texture felt a bit cheap and the sauce tasted slightly of chemical flavorants. Overall the food was fairly good Chinese fare, and as I understand it, a pretty good price (about CHF13-17 per dish). But it wasn't amazing or particularly memorable, and I'd probably be willing to spend a little more if it meant slightly more refined cuisine. What I do love about Geneva is that the coffee, even at a random Chinese place, is rich, creamy espresso!
