We just had our tar and gravel roof replaced with SBS flat roofing. I had 7 quotes and did a lot of research on the companies. Kelly who provided the initial quote connected with me promptly after coming out to do the estimate. I indicated that I had several other quotes I was waiting for. Given the strong reputation of Hubbard and the fact they have been around for 35 yrs I was really hoping their quote would be competitive. Kelly was prepared to look at other quotes I received and we settled on a fair price. The tar and gravel removal team arrived ( around 8-10 guys) and promptly and in a very tidy manner took and enormous amount of gravel off the roof. Each day the site was inspected and cleaned. Then the flat roof guys put down the initial membrane and ensured all was sealed as they had to juggle between some rain storms. The metal flashing guy Ray then finished the trim and I must say he takes pride in making sure it all lines up and that it was straight. In fact he ordered some wider pieces of metal for the front arch as he thought it would look better from the road and it certainly does. So we had a good down pour of rain and some hail last night. I was looking for some new exterior storm doors for my house. I seen a sign for Hubbard Roofing and exteriors with free estimates. I contacted Hubbard roofing as well as 3 other companies. I usually go with the price in the middle knowing it's a fair price and the work should be quality. The price was definitely fair and the work from the quote right down to completion was outstanding. Donald Hubbard was the first to come to my house to look at the job and see what I wanted. Next another gentleman came and measured the doors and found out exactly what product I wanted. Both were very professional and polite. Next the work was done on time and very satisfactory. My door did need a little adjusting after it was installed and the worker had left(wanted it to close a little slower a personal preference). Hubbard was one of three companies I called in the spring for an estimate to replace my eavestroughs. They got back to me right away with a quote. A friend who works in insurance claims gave Hubbard an excellent reference, and another friend had used Hubbard to replace their own roof, and were very satisfied with their work. I booked Hubbard for the eavestrough replacement, then later realized that I also needed the roof shingles redone. I called Hubbard and asked if I could expand the job to include replacing the roof. No problem, and they also gave me a discount for combining the jobs. The roofing contractors were friendly, efficient and thorough. The eavestrough contractors who came by next, recommended adding matching metal fascia to the work order, which was a brilliant idea for our house! They completed the seamless eavestrough installation in a timely, efficient manner - right ahead of the heaviest snowfall of the winter! We did our due diligence and got a couple of quotes. Hubbard came and did a detailed quote and answered all my questions while they were there doing the quote. Together we figured out the best options for materials etc. We also decided to replace our skylight at the same time replacing the old plastic one with a new glass skylight. We also had a previously damaged side downspout replaced as well. Hubbard also does an attic inspection before starting the project. This was great and good peace of mind for me to catch any unexpected issues before the project is started. The work crew that showed up kept the area clean and were very polite/courteous. On the first day when I talked to the crew they introduced themselves individually by name. The crew took 4 days to complete the roof. After an initial roof inspection a while back (free!), we learned that our roof had a little more life in it, and waited with the replacement until this year.
