This hotel should be shut down. I actually can't believe I even let my child stay there with me. Upon arrival the lady at the desk could barely speak English. She claimed to have to clean our room before we could check in. She was gone for about 20 minutes, put us in a temporary room that looked like something out of a bad B movie horror film. This was the only place with availability over the Fourth of July so I kinda HAD to take it. I hadn't planned on getting a room but since it was the holiday and I currently reside at home with my Mother, I wanted a little getaway for myself and my son for the weekend. Plus I thought it would be kinda cool to stay in downtown Longview, (which I happen to think might is exactly what I think longview needs a revitalized old town, do a underground tunnel walk-through town like they do an old Williamsburg through old town with the earpieces (I was told that one time there were some tunnels in Longview that are widely known about? use that to drum up revenue )or something that would drum up tourism. the bridge as sightseeing like how they have at the San Francisco bridge you know there's there's a observation deck ofsorts, Isint it the first or one of the only carabiner bridges or whatever right?)? the old town downtown has not been revitalized and cash infused and turned into a really neat like walk of sorts like downtown Vancouver doing with the harbor over there or the whatever on the water, with different artist and things kind of like Kalama is doing )my boyfriend lives right down the street. I thought it might be a little culture for my son lol. Well, once allowed into our supposedly CLEAN new room I was horrified. We went to work cleaning the room ourselves with cleaning products I bought from the next door Safeway store. The place was filthy. I took a bunch of pictures. Then to top it off, promptly at midnight, the neighboring Post Office got to work on their night shift work which was SO LOUD no one got any sleep! it's no wonder all the drug dealers hang out there lol. Nobody's getting any sleep over at that place ! Damn vampires over there ! This place is HORRIBLE. I wouldn't let my worst enemy stay there. It needs to be shut down. Oh and the impromptu BBQ under the disgustingly filthy stairs up to our room looked tasty with all the ner do wells hovering to get some dusty filth BBQ! omg it is so gross I can't even do it justice with words. Stay at your own risk! Sad that our small town is being invaded by people of I don't care what race or color you are but the same race and color buying up all the hotel motels and running them like slum lord places!!! You know who you are! Be part of the solution! Let's all make money together! Worst hotel ever! I paid $240.00 for three nights. I think I was ripped off! You know there's going to be stains on hotel carpets. But when you're afraid to take off your shoes you know it's a bad room. Nasty floors. I bet they haven't cleaned them in months! The smell was horrible! Like someone sprayed cheap air freshener to cover up the smell of urine and BO. I pulled the blankets off the bed to check for bugs. No bugs, but blood and yellow stains on the comforter. Everytime I tried to use the microwave it would flip the breaker and we would loose power in half the room. Exposed wires in the baseboard heater in the bathroom. No room service! I had to empty our own trash and buy our own towels. The trash bins outside the rooms were over flowing. They said no refunds or we would've stayed at another place. One star only because they had flat screen TV's, microwave and mini fridge. Adding this a day later.... They charged me an additional $25.00 for a broken toilet seat... are you kidding me right now? I'm beyond angry! Total cost = $265.00 for three days in the worst hotel ever! read more

I love supporting local businesses, but unfortunately I'd have to say that if you're in Longview for a couple days, you're better off staying at a Super 8. I will say that the room was smelled clean enough, the decor was a step up from a normal motel, and the heater was really good at heating up the freezing room. However, there were a couple things I couldn't get past. 1) The one staff member I encountered, while helpful enough, was not at all very warm or welcoming. 2) Both the hand soap dispenser at the sink and the body wash dispenser in the shower were filled with BRIGHT GREEN DISH SOAP. I know, because as a poor college student without a dishwasher, I happen to have the same kind underneath my sink back at my apartment..... I guess they were just hoping people wouldn't notice? At least at the Super 8 or another chain motel, we would have had access to a complimentary breakfast and travel sized soaps and shampoos. read more

First off, I had my expectations set extremely low. I was waiting for a an apartment to open up, and needed temporary housing in the interim. I viewed a craigslist ad stating $175 for 5 days for a single person. When I arrived to book this rate I was informed that there were none available and wouldn't have any for the next month. I was offered $388 for 7 days until a different unit opens up. I stayed there 3 months while my apartment was delayed, I viewed tenants come and go yet when I inquired about those empty rooms I was told they were not available. I spent $4,656 during my "stay". Then there's the wifi, it connected maybe 2 times the entirety of my residing there. The oven didn't work and they put in a maintenance request that never was resolved. I work long hours during the day and every time I came back to the hotel there were ants all over the place. Let's get to the other tenants, tweekers and dealers run rampant and are constantly fighting and screaming. Do yourself a favor and stay clear of this establishment. read more

It was my first time leaving Ca and it was defiantly interesting stay at this motel. First impression was the desk lady was really sweet and the room was clean, not too bad for 60$ a night. Now it's our first night there, my boyfriend and I, and we take a shower. We turn the shower on an look at each other like what the heck is that smell?? Ahh it's piss! The shower smells like piss. Lovely. But hey it's sixty bucks a night so you take what you can get I guess? Now we're on to night two. We take our piss shower and after drying off and getting dressed we hear something outside. We open the door and there is a strange woman in a red t shirt with a walking stick singing (yelling) in a thick New York accent "silent Niiiight! Hoolly night!.." And in between her singing she's yelling out random obscene things and lines from mobster movies. Then the people to our left come out and politely ask if she could be quiet because there baby is sleeping. She asks them "Oh you have kids? Are there in pieces? Are they alive? Are you going to kill them tonight?" So they call the police. The police come and say that she'll stay inside and to call if she comes back out. Okay no biggie. And then the cop says now I have to check on the drunk guy upstairs (above us). We're thinking oh geese now what. So we're looking out our window and see a fire truck and then a AMR vehicle. And then a gurney gets put outside our window below the stairs. Mind you they are all calm. Next I see a fire fighter with a red bag type thing going upstairs. What!? Red rhymes with dead!! Is this guy dead!? Now I hear above us people carrying something large and as I'm pointing at the ceiling following the sound I'm staring at my boyfriend wide eyed like oh geese what am I about to see!? And as we follow my finger to the sound we see two guys carrying down the dead guy from upstairs to the gurney!! I saw my first dead person! And he was dead right above us! Needless to say we packed up, dropped off the key and didn't even bother for a refund for that night. So if you're looking for an interesting stay this is the place for you. Unfortunately we won't be coming back to this motel. read more

Hudson Manor Inn - The view from our room - Longview, Washington

A group of Nevada businessmen on our annual motorcycle trip, booked 9 rooms for two nights, sight unseen. This is without a doubt the worst facility I've ever spent the night at in my 45+ years of traveling. Absolutely disgusting! Unfortunately our plans were to spend two nights here while visiting Mt St. Helens. Being completely unacceptable, we attempted to cancel our rooms for tomorrow night but they've refused to refund our prepaid 2nd nights stay. The East Indian's operating the facility were quick to point to the "NO REFUNDS" sign displayed on the office wall. Obviously a common ocurrence..... Regardless, they can keep our money as we won't be spending a second night in this dump. We'll forfeit the money in order not to stay here any longer than absolutely necessary! Please heed my advice and do not stay in this facility.... read more

I was here for a work trip last night. WiFi worked great. Newly updated rooms with hardwood floor. Very nice, clean and cozy feeling. Great job on remodel. read more

We stayed here on a Saturday night. We were given room 11. It's in the corner on the bottom floor. While you can't smoke in the rooms we found it nice that outside all the rooms there was seating and a small table with an ashtray. The room was clean and odor free. The bathroom floor and shower was clean. They could upgrade their towels to more of an adult size...but other than that we definitely would stay here again. read more

I will agree with others that I like to support local, but I wish I was at the best western. The smell of dead cat piss is all I can say. No amount of febreeze will cure that. From the lobby to the room- and no coffee. read more
