The director was my guide when I attended and still holds the same core values and care as I remember. It caters personally to each child as a whole and thoroughly gives children guidance to become independent and the best they can be. Montessori of University Heights is the true hidden gem in northeast Ohio. The community of parents and children are more supportive and encouraging unlike any other school you will find.

My boys are now joyful learners, voracious readers, math lovers, and spiritually in-touch kids, at ages 8 & 10. Beyond academics, Maria and the teachers helped me. They provided me with calmness, wisdom, and guidance in the preschool years. During the recent 50 year anniversary of the school, my children respectfully greeted Maria and each teacher with eye contact & a handshake. This polite greeting was imprinted on their young minds. The beauty of my kids early education is now part of who they are as people. I recommend this school to all parents, especially parents with flexible schedules.

Which during that meeting, come to find, my child was threatening self harm during class. Which no one told me about until that following Friday, when the very teacher who viewed my kid as a burden walks out to my car in the pickup line, crocodile tears going, and says "your child is threatening to hurt herself during my class." Great, all the more reason for her to be done here and never see the likes of any of you again. What was once my happy little girl, is now miserable. So, she was done that day, two weeks before first grade graduation which she did not get to attend because I refuse to subject my child to anymore neglect or torture she may have had to go through there. Then it took a month after that, and reaching out to get her personal belongings left behind; had to call the private school board and get a recommendation on how to go about getting my child's things....where I was told I'd likely have to get the law involved because they aren't apart of any school board...even the private one here. So, I wouldn't trust these people as far as I could throw them. One, they have one teacher per class, not two or three like they would have you think. Most of the people there that are "teachers" are parent volunteers, or teachers aids. The tuition they list, is a grand off, plus a grand in co-op fees. They obviously play favorites when the victim of violence isn't welcome back, but the one who hits is. The funny thing in all this though, is the sheer will of just pure laziness in it all. I'm still getting emails from this school, I've yet to be removed from their lists. Why....who knows, but the incompetence, and will to overlook anything bad there is unreal.

Excellent. And the school is constantly making improvements while still striving to remain affordable to the average parent. Its the best investment you can make for your child's future.

I may have a different point of view than previous posters in terms of my expectations for activities in the infant room. I was OK with my kid being in a bouncer or excersaucer at a young age - to me, this is their activity at less than12 mos and I never felt that it was excessive. It has also been 3+ years since that post so things may have changed since then. We use full time care as an alternative to pre-school for the older child and I am also very satisfied with the level of learning she receives in preparation for Kindergarten.

Evidence reflects that some infants spend large portions of the day in equipment such as high chairs, cribs, bouncers, and exersaucers. Compliance Response Due by: 06/30/2014 I'd like to add the center would not reimburse the deposit (several hundred dollars) I gave, since I didn't give two weeks notice... there was no way I would bring my daughter to this place.
