While I previously had positive experiences here, I am extremely frustrated with the care my mother has received here this week after testing positive for Covid. She went to their urgent care requesting Paxlovid as she is high-risk for severe Covid. The nurse practitioner told her she had drug interactions that disqualified her from receiving the drug, which simply wasn't true. It took days for her to get a reply from our primary who said she could have the drug. But then said it was too late for her to receive it. (Sorry, but Monday night to daytime Friday is still within the 5-day window by my math.) This kind of run-around at this point in the pandemic is ridiculous. Definitely finding a new primary who can count. Avoiding their nurse practitioners. Another one tried to significantly underdose the antiviral I needed for shingles. Going to look at options for other clinics. read more

This clinic is fantastic! Not only are the staff patient and accommodating, the doctors are top notch! The are always able to for me in for more urgent issues and give me the time I require for my appts. They are THOROUGH and explain everything well. It is easy to see the staff truly love what they do. Everyone is so friendly! The family practice doctors are always seeking the best answers for their patients. (Also- the complainers on here clearly are the ones who have issues paying their bills. That's not the clinics fault. Pay your bills and you'll have a positive experience. This practice seems to be headed down hill. In the last couple of years they have become very political and policy, rather than patient centered. They used to have top-notch OB/GYN care. They were even able to offer vaginal breech delivery, vaginal birth after cesarean, and a low intervention approach. My doctor even used to boast that women came clear across the country to have their baby there. She even proudly announced that she doesn't require an automatic hep lock insertion for her laboring patients. Well now the tide has turned. First they did away with vaginal breech because not all the providers were trained in it. So lack of training justifies unnecessary major abdominal surgery and a limiting of options for some mothers? That doesn't make sense to me. Then the hospital this physician group is affiliated with, banned all VBACs with little notice, leaving many VBAC moms scrambling to find care in their third trimaster. What is far more telling is in the same letter they announced the cessation of evidence based VBACs, they allotted equal time to saying that laboring women would now be forced to comply with their hospital centered "policies" and submit to medically unnecessary hep-lock insertions and other procedures. Their topnotch OB/GYN had to leave the practice in order to stay true to his oath to first do no harm. And although there are still some individual doctors there that are great, the leadership of the practice seems to not understand the importance of patient-centered care. read more

I would recommend Hudson Physicians, however, my recent experience with Dr Allie Nyquist was truly awful. Dr Nyquist was extremely arrogant, condescending, and passive aggressive during my appointment. I would absolutely recommend ANY other provider in podiatry than this particular doctor or better yet, would recommend a different practice all together. I understand that she is new to this practice (September 22) and it is unfortunate that Hudson Physicians would have a doctor on their team that would behave in such a manner. read more

My friend died of an undiagnosed brain tumor. He repeatedly went into Hudson Physicians for severely painful headaches over a 3 year period. Each time he was told to just take pain pills. The last time he went into HUdson Physicians they did find something serious and sent him to Regions Hospital. He was dead within a week. Never left Regions alive. Another good friend was misdiagnosed for 3 years at Hudson Physicians. They told him he had celiac disease and to not eat gluten. For 3 years he got worse and worse. He went to Regions and with simple blood work was told he had liver disease and kidney disease. He almost died a year ago then he got a liver transplant and 5 months of dialysis then he got a kidney transplant. He is alive today only because he LEFT Hudson Physicians. I took my 18 month old grandson to the pediatrician for a fever, he had an ear infection. She sent Rx to the pharmacy there. The pharmacist asked if the Rx was for my grandson and I said yes. The pediatrician had prescribed a dosage for an adult. He called the prescribing physician and verified it was wrong and changed the dosage. I went in for high fever and chills and HP doctor had me tested for Lyme disease, test came back negative. He prescribed 2 meds to treat lyme anyway. Went back because wasn't getting better and he had me tested for erliciosis, the 2nd most prevalent tick borne illness. The test came back negative but showed elevated liver enzymes and high sedimentation rate. He said to keep taking the 2 meds. Still not getting better. Went back a third time, more blood work, test for anaplasmosis, and a C-T scan because of elevated liver enzymes. Anaplasmosis test negative, C-T scan showed enlarged liver. Dr. Just said keep taking meds for Lyme disease. Went back a 4th time with my husband who the night before had googled " tic borne illness with elevated liver enzymes" which linked to "babesiosis". We told doctor what we found and he was very resistant and told us there had never been a case of babesiosis at the clinic. And went on and on with his defensiveness. He said, what do you want me to do"? My husband said, "give her a prescription to treat babesiosis". He resisted again but checked online. Finally after a lot of defensiveness from the doctor my husband said, "aren't you first supposed to do no harm? Will it harm her if she takes the meds for babesiosis"? Dr. Said no. We said, "do blood work again to test for babesiosis and write prescription for different Rx to treat babesiosis" he finally reluctantly acquiesced. Blood work had to be sent out, test came back positive. I fully recovered. We believe lots of people are being misdiagnosed with Lyme disease and never fully recovered. A month later I went to vet with my dog. She asked how I was doing and I told about my episode with babesiosis. She said the vet clinic had seen 9 dogs with babesiosis that summer 2015. I told her she should inform Hudson Physicians Clinic. Went in Tuesday, July 14 to test for CoVid 19. I had a fever, headache and leg aches Monday and Tuesday. I didn't think at the time that the nurse did the CoVid test properly because it felt like a single light touch in each nostril. The nurse said, as she very quickly and lightly touched the back of my nostril with the swab, "these tests are so dumb, people hate these tests!" I also had EKG and blood work done. I got a call on Saturday that my CoVid test couldn't be completed because it had "spilled" in transit. I asked the person telling me this to describe how the test is done. She said the swab is inserted way back as far as it can go and rotated twice to the count of 15 seconds in each nostril. That was definitely not done! No one called me about blood work, even though I showed elevated liver enzymes and low kidney number. I will not be going back and I highly recommend that you find a different clinic for your medical needs. read more

Billing Scammers! Unless you want to be billed twice for the same visit- do not go here! My child went in for a well child visit and when the Dr. asked if everything was good or if we had any concerns we brought up a bed wetting issue we were concered with. It turns out that if you talk about anything other than getting height and weight and blood pressure, you are billed for a second visit, and of course you are not made aware that they bill this way. I assumed that it was all part of the same visit, BUT NO- they get to charge double for spending the same amount of time. Too bad becuase I like our Dr but their billing is not ethical. read more

The Care I received from Dr. Likness is great. However the communication between him and the staff in particular referrals is horrendous! Even after going in to see the doctor personally and walking out with paper that I believed was to be a referral I got to the therapy center and I did not have the correct information. They called and they were sent a referral that was from prior to my office visit again in incorrect referral. I ended up losing the ability to have one of my appointments that day because of their mistake!It was a 2 Hour Dr. for me to even get there very disappointing thankfully the staff there called a second time asked to get a hold of Dr. Likness personally and got it straightened out. read more

I was very pleased with my visit here. They were able to schedule a timely appointment. They wee professional and friendly. I also was not as intimidated or frightened at this facility as I have been in others as the decor is soothing and relaxing. It is quiet and clean. Nice large spaces to wait in so you don't have to sit on top of others sick people and spread germs there are a nice current selection of magazines. My doctor was wonderful as she gave me every option for treatment and let me choose what direction I wanted to go. I totally appreciate how I was treated like an individual with my own concerns and ideas even if they are irrational. I will never go back to this clinic for me or my family. The doctors' care was fine but according the business office all bills have to be paid off in 4 months otherwise they will send you to collections. I have a $1800 bill from having a baby and they threatened to send me to collections unless I pay $450 a month for the next 4 months. I cannot afford that large of a payment due to other medical bills that I am also paying on, 2 of my other children have had surgery this year as well. I have been making regular monthly payments of $100 but they are unwilling to work with me on any other kind of payments. Do not see Doctor Jessica Blackford! She is 100% a terrible doctor, she didn't even finish my sister physical. Also, on top of that told me to see a counselor, and I told I have seen one recently and that I don't need to see one and that I am fine for now. She proceeded to tell me if I was fine I wouldn't need anxiety meds. I had problems sleeping due to ptsd and just need a refill on my meds. She then told me I need to stop being on my phone at night and journal. Which I cannot do due to I cannot put my feelings into words. She didn't refill my prescription, and she tried to be a counselor. I will not be seeing her again because I felt she was being unprofessional and seemed like she wasn't listening to what I was saying. But on the other hand, I love seeing Doctor Likeness! He is incredible as listens. He seems to really care about his patients. I have nothing bad to say about him. read more

I absolutely love my doctors here, but dealing with the billing department is a mess. I was not able to make the my monthly payment and said that I could my payment in full a week later. They refused and cancelled my sons well child check up and said it will go to collections if not paid by this date, which was 4 days later. The manager Carla did not care what I had to say or who I talked to previously l. All she kept saying was that I was going to collections by this date over and over and was not willing to talk. Very disappointed at how I have paid all my previous bills but this time was told they would not work with me. Wish they cared more about people and the care they need and not about politics. read more

She listens to your concerns and has very holistic approach to medicine. Dr. Schertz is the best doctor for my kids. I have been sick for over eleven years and doctoring with Hudson Physicians. They were unable to help me and my health has continued to decline. They have been incorrect with many of their evaluations putting me on one drug after another. None of them helped. I finally found an FCT (Field Control Specialist) specialist who found Lyme in me during our first session - I have had for years and suffer from many of the water born parasites. Some of the pain is terrible as is the hair loss. If Hudson Physicians would have checked further eleven years ago, I would not be this sick. I feel they are responsible for many of the things I am going through now in my life and it will take years to regain my health. I would not recommend this clinic to anyone. read more

Dr. Likness Sports And Spine Medicine. Located at Hudson Physicians clinic is a great provider while he listened to my history and symptoms. While then strategized with me some ways to help and cope with my pain. Physical Therapy, and Medications are some essential ways he first tried. If failing thus far he stated that he resorts to a MRI and spine injections becoming the last but most important procedures to figure out where my pain is coming from. Our opinion based on our recent experience is that Hudson Physicians has very poor, unethical, confusing and deceptive billing practices. We took our child to Hudson Physicians for an annual well child check. The doctor asked if we had any concerns about our child's general health and we advised that our child had a little ear discomfort which led to a very brief sixty second conversation and we left the clinic thinking everything was fine. We then received an invoice showing a charge for a separate office visit for over $200 (in addition to the charge of nearly $400 for the well child exam). We thought this was a mistake but when we contacted their billing department we were advised that Hudson Physicians considers any discussion (no matter how trivial or brief) about anything other than height, weight and blood pressure during a well child exam to be an entirely separate office visit (in addition to the preventive well child exam visit) for which they issue a second bill. Neither the doctor or the nurse never disclosed or mentioned this very confusing and questionable billing practice to us during the well child exam. This resulted in Hudson Physicians sending us a second bill for over $200 for a sixty second conversation about our child's ear in addition to the nearly $400 bill for the well child exam even though the doctor is the one who initiated the discussion about our child's ear in the first place. We would have never mentioned the minor ear discomfort had the doctor not asked us if there were any general concerns. This very confusing and questionable billing practice should be fully disclosed to patients in order to ensure patients (and parents) are aware allowing us to understand that we will incur additional charges if we respond to the doctor's vague and opened ended questions and ultimately allow the patients (and parents) to make an informed decision as to whether or not they wish to incur additional office visit charges. We have experienced two other questionable billing issues with Hudson Physicians in the last couple of years as well. We have been going to Hudson Physicians for many years and have always found the doctors to be very good but in our opinion, based on our recent bad experiences, their billing practices have become unethical, deceptive and intolerable so we will not return to Hudson Physicians for any further medical care. We have read other reviews with similar complaints and have heard from others in the community that they have had similar problems with Hudson Physicians' billing practices and have stopped going there as a result. read more

If I could give this clinic ZERO stars I would!!! ABSOLUTELY THE WORST CLINIC I HAVE EVER BEEN TO!! Horrible EXTREMELY RUDE/OPINIONATED bedside manner from the doctors, Horrible nurses that fail to tell you things or follow through on what was promised wasting tons of time and confusion, HORRIBLE LACK OF COMMUNICATION between staff and doctors and nurses, SUPERVISORS FAIL TO FOLLOW UP AND RESOLVE ISSUES AND HOLD NO DOCTORS OR NURSES ACCOUNTABLE FOR THEIR MISTAKES, etc.... I would love to start a malpractice lawsuit against this clinic and some of the staff that I dealt with as well for all the grief I have been put through. I have moved all over the state of WI over the years and have never been treated more poorly as a first time patient. This clinic is NOT about what is BEST for the patients and even after transferring extra yrs of medical history from my well established doctor back home whom I had seen for yrs, Dr Kari Smith refused to follow through with the medicine I needed that I had been on for years (even though in phone calls prior to my first appointment my doctor/clinic back home specifically talked to her clinic and myself several times regarding my medicine refills that would be needed when I moved here). I told her I wasnt comfortable being a guinea pig experimenting with new medications and side effects of something I had never researched or heard of for my condition and that I shouldnt have to switch to something my doctor back home didnt approve of when she had dealt with my condition for years and knew what did and didnt work for me. This clinic from the get go was extremely rude staff at the front desks, the nurses and doctors say one thing but dont follow through including leaving prescription slips up front (had to wait over an hour because they didnt have my slip as promised and were busy making me wait "while on their dinner break" which made me miss my bday dinner reservations. Then the refills weren't done properly for months in a row causing me to lapse in medication that you arent supposed to stop cold turkey for days at a time without causing medical issues. I tried calling supervisors numerous times to get my complaints dealt with and they are just as rude as the rest of the staff! DO NOT DO NOT go to this clinic! You will wait in the waiting room BEYOND resonable times to wait, YOU WILL WASTE precious time then in the room waiting for the doctors who normally are completely rude, and they dont follow through on half of what they say, are often judgemental and opinionated, refuse to do what the patient needs rather than what rewards they reap for dispursing out certains meds from pharmaceutical reps!!!! I HATE THIS CLINIC AND WISH THE WHOLE PLACE WOULD BE SHUT DOWN! Latest update as of Oct 2015: Doctor not in to refill my slip and doctor on call wont call back and was told supervisors were all busy! WILL NOW BE 4 days without my medicine!!!! read more

The schedulers don't care to ask if you are coming in for preventative. Now I'm being charged for an office visit when it should be fully covered under insurance. Don't dare ask the doctor a question that doesn't pertain to your original visit unless you want another bill. read more

If you are planning on going to see Dr. Stoy for ANY sort or procedure big or small I HIGHLY suggest to NOT. He is very unprepared and uneducated-he botched my nexplanon insertion which should be subcutaneous-he inserted it wrong and it ended up being INSIDE my bicep muscle very close to nerves and an artery. I had to have a 2 hour long surgery to remove it. He also never followed up with me when he found out about it. read more
