Have been to Ward Park several times in the Spring with the BFF who lives in Marlboro... Love the…read moreplayground - Just hate that it is a football field away from the Parking Lot, but I can deal with that... Today for the first time, we visited the Pool - She had been talking about it all spring & I was very weary - but actually had a GREAT time... First off its a 2ft Wading Pool - so dont show up expecting to do HandStands & Dives (Unless of course you are vertically challenged)... The baby was unsure at first (hes never really been in a pool now that he is aware of the world), but I got in & laid down with him & we had a blast... It was busy but not soo much that we were bothered... There were some lifeguards there that do make you feel safe, there is a restroom which is also convenient... It was a good time, I would definitely recommend if you have smaller children & dont want to deal with bigger kids pushing & splashing... However it was also my first time, I might have just picked a good day - who knows what next weekend will bring (Ill update)!

It looks brand new and is loaded with ramps but there is ZERO flow, it's not concrete but places…read moreramps. I fell and burned my hand on the half pipe then proceeded to split open my knee because some idiot left trash. Should I mention the group of moms sitting on ramps watching their kids on scooters misuse the park all while a tiny white poodle ran around pissing everywhere. I will not return. Ever.

Super cute and clean park. There's a great playground with unique structures. One structure is…read moregeared toward younger kids and one towards older kids. There is also a small plans area. Perfect for cooking off on a hot day. The splash area is fenced in with one entrance/exit which is also convenient for parents who want to sitervise. There is also a sanded volleyball net, a basketball court and a large field. There are bathrooms but I didn't use them so can't speak to their cleanliness. One major con is there is no shade and little seating. I would suggest bringing a lawn or beach chair that has its own canopy.

I love this park! (even though I don't like the outdoors haha)…read more This park is beautiful. They have a huge playground with things for very little kids and big kids to play on. They have a skateboard area. They have basketball courts. There is a baseball field and a couple areas where kids play soccer. The biggest reason I love this place is their walking track and trails. The track is 4 times around for a mile. They have a sign posted to tell you how long the trails are. There are also some paved walkways around the whole park. This park is always kept immaculately clean and is always packed! It is often hard to find parking. The other great thing about this park is that they spray for mosquitoes quite frequently so it is never very buggy here even with all of the woods and some marshy type areas.

What a great addition to Allston!! Here's basically everything it features:…read more * a pumptrack * an outdoor roller rink right next to the pumptrack * tons of grass in front and behind the pumptrack to play soccer, frisbee, to hangout, etc. * a nicely paved walking path to help you get around (especially if you're on wheels!) * a basketball court * two baseball diamonds with lights that go on at night * the place is often used for adult league/rec team sports which you love to see!! * heads up: street parking is pretty limited so keep that in mind

Pros: Nice little concrete park…read moreAwesome pump track Accessible location Cool features (rail, hips, ledges, banks with and without coping) Cool location right next to Harvard Stadium Cons: No tree cover at the skatepark Skate park flow could be better (widen it) Manual pad is a little small No water fountain or bathrooms Kids playing on the pump track made it extremely dangerous (and annoying). Kids are not permitted without adult supervision yet people think it's ok to ignore these rules at virtually every skatepark in Boston that I've been to. Don't follow the Boston parking laws. Harvard University is on a power trip and tickets cars that otherwise wouldn't be ticketed if it were the BPD. Got a ticket for not paying a meter on a Sunday. Every car on the street did. Clearly they're making up their own rules.

Great place to relax or run or just have a walk around…read more The total round trip of this park is 1.3 miles. One can bring their dogs too, it's a great place for socializing with other pet owners. I found that this place is hardly ever crowded and hence a lot of parking is naturally available. Recommend for runners!

Really great park! Went here to enjoy a bagel sandwich and take a walk in the sun on a beautiful…read moreday! It is well maintained, so pretty clean and peaceful. The tree memorial for the 9/11 victims from the area was beautiful and a nice way to honor those folks in the community. There is alot of open grassy area to sit or play - a few benches along the trail, and a handful of picnic tables. If you want to sit out though, you probably want to bring your own chair. The walk was nice - very flat area without really any hills and the trail is paved, well defined, has mile markers, and is wide. It's a little over a mile, so if you're short on time you can get a quick walk in otherwise you can do a few laps to get in extra mileage! I did see there was a little playground area as well and a gazebo! There was actually a small ceremony happening when I was there. Another sweet thing to note, there is a senior living home on the trail, so it was lovely to see some elderly people out getting sunshine and enjoying the park too! Definitely recommend checking it out if you want to get outside and have a nice place to go!
