I stepped out of my traditional furniture style while shopping at Hudson's Furniture. They had so much to choose from. With the help of Paige, I found the perfect sectional to compliment my lakeside forever home. I'd had my eye on an exotic rug, from elsewhere, but I wasn't sure if it would overwhelm such an all-white room. After my sectional was delivered, my area rug arrived, but I needed accent pieces to bring it all together, so I called Paige for my complimentary service with Hudson's Interior Designer, Melodie. They came out a week later, took measurements, and we chatted it up about my likes, dislikes, colors, style, etc. A week later I went back to the store to see what they came up with. Melodie found the perfect tables to showcase the rug I loved, which were way out of my comfort zone, but I know sometimes you have to take it to that level. We played with some colors, styles, fabrics, shapes and textures, for the accent chair, and I finally chose the style she had originally suggested. While waiting for my accent pieces I made pillows to add some pop, and purchased a few more. The final pieces were delivered 3 days ago. I love the way it all came together. read more

If you acquire any furniture from Hudson's, strongly recommend you DO NOT buy the warranty. Hudson's contracts out the warranty to a third party - "Furniture Care Protection" and they have about the worst warranty service one can get. A piece of our purchase failed in under 5 years (a problem in itself) and Hudson's takes no responsibility. Furniture Care Protection has ordered parts and shipped to the wrong address, only to discover the part was not the cause of the failure. 2-16 weeks - yes, two to SIXTEEN weeks to get the next part. Furniture Care Protection is a scam. Hudson's uses that scam company to eliminate their warranty responsibility. Be careful - DON'T buy the warranty, and think twice about Hudson's as they take zero responsibility for their products once it is at your home. read more

I didn't even realize I kept him at the store after closing a few times because he was so locked in on finishing my order & getting it just right. I will never shop here again and I suggest you don't either. There is a reason why they have a 3.2 rating which would be lower if you could give them a zero. Look at all the ones they get. They charged us for a table that we never took possession of, lied to us about their warranty program, deliveries were late and their delivery crew was extremely rude. Several people, including mangers, just would not call us back, forcing us to drive to their facility no less than 10 times. And when Josh the owner tells you he will make things right, consider it lip service. read more

Worst customer service! Dresser delivered was damaged (always inspect carefully while delivery people are still on site). Had to send "repair" person which took another 2-3 weeks. Determined without more than a glance it was not fixable and they'd order us another one. This is not our full time residence which we stressed over and over to them and that we would need advance notice to be able to get there. Long story short, after waiting over 2 months it finally arrives and they want to deliver at 8am! They did nothing to accommodate our time, it was then or get it some other day,who knows when. I can't judge the quality of my furniture, as that will be a test over time. I guess I never posted the above review ...so now I have to take what I would have given a 4 Star Review and put it down to a 1...if I could give them 0 I would...I bought a couch last winter from the showroom, as it was quite similar to a slip cover couch that I had at home...it was discussed and before I purchased it I called my furniture store at home because the plan was to be able to switch out the slip covers with the couch that I had at home. This was discussed with the salespeople two who I worked with (really nice ladies) We are snowbirds, but we also had another rental place before we purchased our new place, so we were there most of the time so the couch got very little use the first few months. Than we went back come for the summer. When we came back in the fall, I decided to wash the slip covers..as I do at home, there were no instructions on them, never thinking twice I tossed them in the washing machine....they came out destroyed. We had purchased the warranty, which they said covers everything...which I normally don't purchase, but since I have grandkids this time I did purchase it. When I called the store..I was honest about what happened...The store has not stood behind the couch...which is torn underneath, the cushions are so poorly made they have lost all of the firmness, feathers fly out of it...none of the seems had been trimmed...frankly I have never seen such poorly manufactured furniture...this is a couch not even used 3 months. I am most disappointed by the customer service..the warranty was not honored, we have tried to purchase new slip covers and for the past 4 months they have been checking with the manufacturer...which they never seem to hear back from....what a horrible experience...this is a $1,000 couch that is going to have to be tossed in the garbage. Worst experience! It took two months to receive our sectional and when it arrived it was torn. Several of the sections had damage, mainly a 1 inch tear on one of the arms. There is apparently no quality control before it leaves the store to get to the customer. Then, it took over a month to receive a refund after I returned the sectional. Not to mention, they have me a hard time about returning their defective product. They wanted to send a repair person to fix the leather couch! I would not advise anyone to shop at any of the Hudson furniture branches. Very poor customer service and store policies. read more

This store has the worst customer service. I purchased a bed on a Friday and when the sale woman Paige was eager to take my credit card she promised that I would have my bed delivered by Tuesday. I just moved here and from New England and had no furniture. She promised she would call me if anything changed. I never heard from her but on Monday I decided to call her to check on the delivery. Turns out she never scheduled the delivery and the next time they could deliver was the weekend. I ended up sleeping on the floor for over a week. When I spoke to a sales person to explain how ridiculous it was for a mattress to be delivered a week after you order it, they didn't want to hear it. read more

We ordered a couch with two reclining seats and a separate recliner in one order and a TV entertainment credenza in another order. We picked the couch because it was in stock and could deliver it immediately after we closed on the house. The recliner would arrive in late March but at least we'd have something to sit on. The TV stand would arrive late February which we could live with. Unfortunately the delivery date for the TV stand pushed out 2-3 weeks almost immediately. After we closed, we called to get the couch delivered and they said it was no longer in the warehouse. Just recently we received a delivery date of early July (for a couch that was in stock). We will not even be in FL when it's now due to be delivered. Epic fail on meeting delivery commitments all around. Update - the recliner which was due April 4th is now April 29th. My wife called to check and they told her the new date. No update or communication from Hudson's. We had to ask stats to find out they failed to meet a delivery date again. read more

The manager Chet totally disrespected my son SSGT Liddane when he went to get a promised item. And then apologized over and over again. Mean spirited never again would I shop there. I give this store 2 stars for two reasons, one the proximity and the second for its selection on the floor. Other than that it would have been 0 / none. The sales lady had less knowledge of furniture than I had, every sofa we picked wasn't available for months out and we pretty much got pressured into taking something we don't like and in less than 6 months is already falling apart. WORST furniture shopping experience ever and we have bought furniture for six houses over the years. VERY DISAPPOINTED in dealing with this furniture store and would NOT recommend! The furniture was okay, overpriced, even with a 50% off sale, but that is not the issue. We were furnishing a new condo we purchased at the end of June, chose a sofa, rug, and bedroom set, and took their WAY overpriced 5 year replacement plan for $399 from Hudson's. The next day, I found another sofa I liked better. I called and spoke with Chet, the general manager, as our salesperson Jonathan was not working that day. Chet assured me he would cancel both the sofa and the 5 year replacement plan. Mind you this is the NEXT day, not a week, not a month, but well within the 3 day limit. He did nothing. As within a couple of weeks they called to tell me my sofa was in. After telling them that I canceled the order, they removed the cost of the sofa. HOWEVER, after numerous out of state phone calls, and one in person visit we are yet to get a credit for the replacement plan. We have called and called, to no avail. My next step is the BBB of Florida and the Attorney General and to notify all those in our new subdivision to steer clear of this store. If I could give a rating of ZERO I would. The salesperson put in the wrong order for my sectional on January 19 which was discovered when they delivered the piece in April. Now it is August and I am still waiting for the correct piece for the sectional. I finally called because of course there has been no follow up with the Salesperson or the Store Manager. Now, as in the last three months, they say it will be in the next month (they've said that now for 3 straight months in a row). I am now in the process of returning this sad pathetic piece of furniture. This store is a joke. The piece looks ridiculous. Mike D. was our helpful salesman. He let us wander freely without hovering. However, he always seemed to appear just when we had a question. Or, he would appear to let us know of optional colors or configurations. He attuned to what we like and what we needed. Robert, the designer, gave us advice and hints in the store. Both were patient. The delivery team , including Remys Q., were careful with our new furniture and its placement. Hudson's Furniture - Interior Design Near Me - Bradenton, Florida

We purchased 2 Softline couches from Hudson's Furniture clearance center and paid for them in full. I had to make arrangements with our original sales associate since the sale was contingent on them agreeing to store our furniture until we moved in due to delay on our new construction home and the move in date being pushed back. Our sales associate agreed to it, scribbled out the part of required pick up dates and times in the contact. He even scribbled out a portion on the contract that spoke about potential storage fees to make us feel comfortable about purchasing. We agreed to the terms and signed the agreement. We received a couple calls from Hudson's regarding the furniture and for updates on the pickup date. Every time, we spoke to a store associate, they told us that they put notes on the account with the updated pick up date and that it was no problem. When our conversations were complete, I always asked for them to review the notes on the account to make sure we were on the same page and they reassured me we were. I even asked them every time they called, if they see the notes from past conversations and the response was always "yes". When we went to pick up our furniture on the agreed date, it was to our surprise that just a couple weeks prior, the furniture was put back on the floor and SOLD. I immediately spoke to the local store manager, David Sheppard, and he told me they had been trying to reach me to tell me that they were going to put the couches on the floor. Of course, I responded with the fact that I had spoken to several people, Paige and Kevin to name a few, and they all told me everything was fine and they have notes on the account. His response was that he was the Manager and it is ultimately his decision and he did not agree to any of that. Although they were quick to sell our couches, we still have not received a refund. I am so disappointed in the customer service especially as we have been such loyal customers through our move and have been there to shop every weekend. Until this point, we have spoken so highly about the brand and referred many family and friends. SO SAD! read more

In February 2019 We purchased a living room sofa and matching recliner at the Bradenton, Fl Hudson's. We also purchased a Southern Motion reclining chair with a massage feature. 1 of our chairs was a special order so we waited close to 8 weeks for the enitre set to come into the warehouse and be delivered.. The furniture is delivered and I am enjoying the lumbar and massage feature. I noticed that on my husbands recliner the lumbar support deflated after inflating. I call Devin and she put me in touch with customer service. A repair man shows up to check the chair. He explains it is not repairable and we need to get a new chair. Contact the store, find out they don't carry this chair any longer. Drive down to Bradenton from Riverview select a new set. This time we selected to go with a Flexsteel set that did not have any moving parts (since they fail constantly). Now the second chair we ordered my recliner that has the lumbar and massage fails. Out comes the repair man with no parts. Makes a list and tells me they will be mailing me the parts. 2 weeks go by on chair # 2. Part come in he replaces the part. I come home get into my chair and you guessed it. Chair is still not working. Another week, repair man shows up puts the second part in and leaves. Chair works for a week and back to the lumbar deflating. Meanwhile, I'm still waiting for the Flexsteel replacement set. I get a call telling me my chair is in when should they deliver. At this point, I am suspect of this company. I inform the caller that I have 2 pieces coming a sofa and a recliner chair. Oh. Let me look into that. No call back. tick tick tick tock. Call them back. Very apologetic. Ready for this. The fabric that I selected for my matching sofa and chair is no longer being manufactured. So I have a sofa that has been completed with the selected fabric but a chair that well they ran out of fabric for. Really, sounds like someone forgot to place the order. Chet the representative now informs me that they are going to put the material back into fabrication so they can complete my chair. I am passed believing anything they say to me. I asked to speak to a decision maker, he said he can put me to customer service. Nope we are beyond that at this point. I inform him that I want to return the entire purchase and get back to a 0 balance. I want to get pass this awful experience. I ask to speak to a regional director. Of course the regional director is out today. It is now June. According to the store they may have my chair mid July but he doesn't want to guarantee a delivery time. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE. Wow, didn't even know this place existed! I say wow because apparently this is the biggest furniture store in the entire state of Florida. They have a ton of great stuff in their giant showroom. Lots of good stuff made in America. The people working there were very helpful without being overbearing, which was welcome as we've come across some very "determined" sales people the other places we shopped. Then we came across an escalator. The ENTIRE UPSTAIRS is a clearance center. The majority of the stuff was brand new, never touched stuff they were just trying to get rid of and the prices were VERY GOOD!!! I appreciate a good deal and I wasn't disappointed. went to Hudson in Bradenton 3/17/2021. I walked around downstairs, I asked an associate if I could go upstairs since the escalator was out. I did go upstairs and from there it went down hill. I had found furniture I wanted and walked around looking for someone to help me. There was a salesman (Jonathan) upstairs following a women around while she took pictures of dressers. After 30 minutes I went to him and asked him if he had a tape measure. He did not. But the woman did thankfully! I was grateful she let me use it. I struggled to measure the sectional by myself while Jonathan and the woman walked past me to take pictures of more dressers. I walked over to the woman and returned her tape measure. About 20 more minutes went past and I walked over to Johnathon and the woman and asked him if he could call somebody up to help me. He then said I can help you, the woman said she was finished and I asked Johnathon if he could tell me the price of a sectional I wanted. He went over and looked at the tag did not have a price on it he said will have to figure out what the original prices are and then it's 50%. I said all the original tags are in the plastic sheeting. Johnathon made a joke that maybe I worked for Hudson furniture how did I know that? He also then proceeded to tell me how sometimes they have secret shoppers come in. I asked him what Hudson's furniture would think if they knew that he did not have a tape measure for me, did not offer to help me measure while he walked past me struggling, and did not offer me any assistance or even ask if I needed help with anything. He went on to tell me how he thought someone was up there helping me. It's funny because why would I ask Johnathon for a tape measure if there was a sales person helping me? Long story short Johnathon came back with the pricing of my sectional that I liked. Told me it was 20% off I said what about 50%? He then told me how it was in such great shape blah blah. I know that he was mad at me for calling him out on the way he treated me. So he did not give me the 50%. Even after I told him that I was going to buy another piece a TV cabinet. I ended up buying nothing because I wanted to wait and see if I could get 50% since he told me he was going to talk to his manager and call me in the morning. He never called me it is now two days later. I guess I won't be buying furniture from there. I felt discriminated against. Maybe I didn't look rich enough? Funny because I was willing to purchase right then. But after he came with the 20% instead of 50% and the way I was treated (ignored) I would rather give my money to someone else. **update I communicated with Lisa who reached out to me and gave me her email address. She got a hold of the store. And it was nothing but lies. I know the furniture was originally approximately $3200. And now she's trying to tell me that it was originally $7000 I saw the tags, and Johnathon told me the price so how did it double. They are scam artists just like the other negative reviews say. Last night (12/10/2017) my wife and went to Hudson Furniture to purchase a couple of bedroom sets, dining table, theatre room seating and bar stools. When we walked in one of the salesman made eye contact from the distance but we were never greeted or asked if we needed help. We continued to walk through the store. After passing by five different Hudson staff (I assume sales people) we were never asked if we needed help. All five were on their computers. I must assume they were engaged in facebook or something. Only one of the male salesman looked up from his computer and said "hi." Nothing more than that. We did witness a sixth salesman helping the only other customers in the store at the time. This was on a Friday at 7:30pm so the store was not busy at all. They lost out on thousands of dollars in business from cash buyers. read more

I bought two pictures for $740.00 from Hudson's furniture. I thought they were a bit expensive, but I like them. There was so much glare from the window, I removed the glass. I was shocked to find the pictures were simply a poster on poster board, for $740.00! I never write bad reviews until i have given a store every opportunity to make it right with me first. Hudson Furniture in Bradenton has never responded to my many calls or emails to them. We ordered 2 chairs back in Dec of 2020 and just received them on July 1st 2021 from Jonathan, who was amazing! We had a very bad delivery resulting in damage to our fence and gate. We had a window of 2-5pm and they arrived at 7:20pm. I instructed the three hispanic men who chose not to speak any english to me, not to pull into my narrow driveway and they did anyway tearing down a portion of our fence. They left our home at almost 9pm all that time trying to get their truck off our fence and blocking the road traffic both ways. It only took them 10min to get my new chairs inside. If they had only listened to me the first time. We were able to speak with the manager of the delivery guys but It took over 2 weeks to fix our fence and not one call or email from Hudson's customer service. I even email Joshua Hudson, owner of HF with no response back. It was our first time shopping there and we had the best experience until the delivery part. I wanted to go back and purchase other items, but after no contact from anyone I have changed my mind. How sad customer service can't even give you a courtesy call back. Bought an entertainment center, and while waiting for delivery it went on sale. I called and our sales person called me back and said, she had good news, we would get a refund for a difference. We waited for the credit to hit our card, and after over a week I called and was then told the store doesn't honor a sale price, although the stores website states they price match with other stores within 30 days plus 10%. Guess they don't honor their own sale price. We wanted to buy the matching end tables and were told they couldn't honor the online price. To order through a sales person they were charging more! Said the online price was wrong. Bottom line, order from the website, its cheaper. Or do what I just did today and ordered the same end tables from Wayfair. read more

Yes we love both rooms we furnished. Kirk our salesman was so kind, he listen to us and explained different types of material to us. We were looking for 3 sleeper sofa but heard of this blow up mattress, just what I was looking for. So we we got the queen with the blow up mattress full size sleeper with an up grated mattress for the living room. Now mind you Kirk said ok on this set you pick your own fabric, color, arm shape (straight,square or rounded) plus the color leg for the sofas. My husband and I looked at each other like oh man way to good to be true. When he told us the price I said "for one" he looked at me and said oh no for all three plus the blow up and the two up graded mattress. We said we will take it! He laughed and said I'm not done plus you get to pick two pillows for each sofa, but one down fault it's all special made so it cold take up to 60 days. I said, I don't care I want. It only took about 30. Yay! My room is complete and beautiful, I enjoy sitting out there everyday. The driver Remi made sure we could open it by it myself and just went though it again like Kirk. We never had a driver Thad made sure we were happy with everything. Another great reason why they will be the only furniture store we will be going back to. I might be addicted ! Our first two times shopping with Victoria were awesome. I have to give a shout out to Victoria at Hudson's Furniture on US 19 Clearwater. She was very knowledgeable and patient. We didn't care for the side chair in the display and she assisted us in picking out fabric to have the chair of our design created and delivered to our home. We purchased living room furniture as well as coffee table and end tables. The experience and service was excellent. The white glove delivery was professional and on time. I have found my new favorite store for all my furniture needs. Going back today for the Veterans Day Sale and picking out some lamps. read more

We bought a sofa, loveseat and recliner in Feb. 2015. It was delivered March 30. Last month 05/2016 I noticed a line going straight across the skirts on the couch and loveseat. It was right where a piece of wood covered with fabric was underneath. My living room is a very dark room, very little sunlight. I went to the store and they had me call my warrantee provider which cost us $300.00. They said the white lines were considered fading and they don't cover it. I went back to store and they said I had to call another number. I did this and they said my yearly warrantee had run out. That date would have been April 1st 2016. Today is 6/28/2016 and we have no recourse. I find this is very poor business. I would not recommend Hudsons now. If in fact they had offered some help I would have continued to sing their praises as I had done in the past. read more

My husband and I went to Hudson's to check out Stressless chairs. It is an expensive purchase for one chair, and we were a little apprehensive about taking the plunge. Mike D., our salesman, was EXTREMELY knowledgeable about the product and pleasantly personable, without being pushy in the least. The first delivery date turned out to be the wrong chair which was a little frustrating, but in the end, we were very pleased with our salesman and purchase. I recently bought a complete bedroom set which included the mattress. Spent $8,500.00. The mattress does not fit the bed frame. It's short by six inches causing the pillows to fall behind the bed.
