The condition requires non-weight bearing for the foot not inserts, toe wraps etc. Dr. Friswald continues to bill him for these items and treatment after receiving Medicare reimbursement and private payment of additional fees. Now at the advice of the VA Seattle he has been on bedrest for three more months. With his current program of bedrest and temporary use a boot fore ADL's, my husband is facing 12 months more of bed rest! His future ability to walk continues to be in doubt!

Not when the shoes were ordered, not while she waited for them, and not on the day she was told she could come pick them up. On that day, she asked if she could take the shoes but not wear them until they came back cleared by insurance. And if they weren't, could she return them? At that point, she said the doctor became angry and shouted at her about having to eat the cost himself. I was not there, but my mother explained to me after her appointment, that she had been told to shut her mouth, and felt threatened because the doctor was standing over her while she was in a seated position. She said another patient witnessed the interaction and she felt humiliated in front of them. I reached out to the doctor's office to discuss what happened and was told I would receive a call back. It has been nearly a week, and I am still waiting.

Dr. Chang was able to help my father in laws with an ulcer on the ball of his foot that would not…read morego away. We took him to so many physicians who would bandage it and apply ointments or some other thing they promised that would "definitely take care of it". One of the doctors eventually referred us to a clinic that supposedly specialities in healing open blisters like this. They told us because of his diabetes he would have a hard time closing the dang thing up. After about 10 visits there we gave up. My wife said it might be smart to take him into a doctor that specialized in feet and that's how found Dr. Chang with some googling. Boy I'll tell you it couldn't have been easier working with him and the clinic. The front desk gal (Lori?) is a hoot and really helpful and Dr. Chang did a great job of sitting us down to go over the different options we had. Eventually after trying some basic options he used this special type of band-aid made from the same stuff babies are held in during pregnancy (or something like that, he explained it A LOT more thorough in person lol) and lo and behold that sucker closed up in just over two months.
