Old time music, music sugar shack feel, standard plates to enjoy, "la tire!", pet farm, horse rides, etc. - Brand new pet farm! Beautiful building with several animals to visit in clean, decently-sized enclosures. Kids will be happy here. There's even a super friendly small dog roaming around the shed looking for free back of ear scratches! - Super Kid Friendly! You can help feed the horses, pet farms, bouncy castle for young children, etc. Cons - Getting to your table was a huge mess. Long line-up well outside the door, unclear instructions. Can't pre-pay. Too many people made the experience feel a little too commercial vs traditional. 30 minute wait! - The seating is on a long 100+ seat table. While this may be fun for some.... I really don't like rubbing shoulders with strangers. Thankfully, you get chairs instead of sitting on a bench! - The food was just OK. Service was a little slow as our waitress was managing had a lot of folks to oversee. Milk had to be asked, should be there initially. Donuts were actually good, had 1 to start with.... and then the guy serving them disappeared into outer space.... OK... The pudding chomeur was great but the sugar pie was a watery mess. The other stuff (omelet, bacon) was just OK. Overall, the cuisine was pretty average. - Every staff member didn't want to acknowledge you unless you had the blue bracelet. This includes the bouncy castle. Do folk really come up to St-Anne Des Plaines to steal some food or randomly use your bouncy castle? Really? Chill out. Asking it once at the door should be enough. Overall, d'Amour is a decent sugar shack but I'll be trying another place next year. A bit too commercial for my tastes with nothing making it stand out.

Nice intimate place we had a fabulous date night. We were treated like a king and queen. We were rushed a bag of ice for our champagne yes I said it we brought our own because it's a byow !!! You can't cest that. They waitress Veronica we had was sweet and great with explaining the menu. We wanted to do the tasting menu which is either 5,7 or 11 courses, only reason we didn't is because it takes 2-3 hours and it was getting late. I loved the foie gras it was creamy and cold and perfect with how they paired it. Even the warm bread and cold butter with fleur de was simple yet great as we were starving. After having been warned by many people in the industry (rental companies, my wedding planner and…read moreseveral others, etc) we cautiously trusted Tentes Grandchamp for our wedding tent rental. They asked us for a $5000 cash deposit a few months before the wedding, which we gave to them. At this point they had done NO work except for the quote. Days later, my fiance died suddenly (a few months before the wedding). When the wedding planner called them to advise them of the horrible news and cancel the reservation, the owner refused to return any of the money (which they did zero work for and had just been given). The most horrible part was that he even threatened to show up at my house on the day of the wedding, set up a tent, and demand the rest of the money. I REPEAT: the day of my wedding to my dead fiance they wanted to show up to my house and ask for more money for work they didn't do. They had not ordered or bought anything for my event that would cause them to suffer a financial loss. I can't think of a more cruel thing to threaten to do. I have since heard from others that they are sketchy and have had at least one bankruptcy. That I cannot prove, but my experience was enough for me to form a very clear opinion that they are a good example of how never to run a business. I doubt these things happen very often to them, and it was an opportunity to show gracious customer service, that would go a long way in Montreal where everyone knows each other. Ripping off a 29 year old woman right after her partner has died is not great customer service. Every other vendor was gracious and empathetic, but this business deserves zero support.
