They have everything from cow, lamb, and other exotic hides to make there jackets. Since this is a family owned shop, you can tell that everything was small batch, hand crafted, vintage style clothing. I was taken care of very well by Sergio. He showed so some great options and helped me find the jacket I wanted the most. He also took the time to explain the different kinds of leathers and which ones would be best for me depending on the application. I was able to get a lambs skin jacket for about $270 euros which to me was completely fair. The quality of craftsmanship and use of genuine leather really highlights that you are truly getting what you're paying for. I would absolutely come back again to buy a second jacket. This small family business was started by Yari's mother in 1987 and the shop is packed wall to wall with leather jackets from every era and type imaginable. I went on their website and saw a phone number listed.. I thought hmm, maybe I can message him on WhatsApp and see if I can reach out in advance and say what I'm looking for and what my concerns are (material - looking for lamb skin d/t weight on my back, size - typically if jackets fit my waist they're much too long in the arm, and open to any style that'll fit that criteria, Yari responded right away and was so warm, kind, and reassuring that he would have something to work with. When we arrived a few days later, he showed me a jacket I immediately fell in love with. Literally the first jacket I tried on was the one that I bought! He had just picked it up from where his family makes jackets the day before. Meant to be . My partner got a super cute vintage jacket as well, and we both left with a wonderful start to our day. Depending on what you have and what your expectations are, it can be a great experience to change up your wardrobe "on the cheap" and "recycle" clothes without being wasteful. I heard about Bivio sometime ago, learning that the founder is from the US and conceptualized Bivio to mimic the stores I mentioned earlier in Milan. Customers are able to book buying appointments in advance (for Autumn/Winter this year, they opened up slots end of August, and they got booked immediately...). I wanted to see how the experience compared to stores back in the states, so I made appointments here and at the Gian Giacomo Mora spot... ...unfortunately, I was not impressed. I was quite disappointed that it was like every other thrift store in Milan (except maybe Humana Vintage...) in that the inventory was mostly "mid-to-high" designer and retail prices...that is not thrift anymore, that's ripping off customers. I also did not have success with selling. My items were "too light" for winter, even though I had a number of sweaters? Perhaps I should note I tend to run warm, and don't have many thick, heavy winter garments that the Italians wear in layers once winter hits! For me, a sweater is enough even at 10 degrees Celcius or 50 degress farenheit! For me, I'll pass on Bivio, and take advantage of thrifting in the States.

I obtained a wonderful antique Coccinelle purse for my wife, after using my best haggling skills, getting down to what I thought was a bargain price. Of course, it turned out to not actually be a true Coccinelle purse but it was and remains quite stylish. This Sunday, the 12th of April, there was an incredible marketplace of flowers, bulbs, cheeses and other sundries. The crowds were incredible since the weather was perfecto. Fueled by excellent Italian espresso, we explored and explored some more. I really don't think many tourists know about this place since every single soul is speaking fluently while I speak Italian with a terrible accent.
