Do not do business with this company! The employees act like they have never cleaned before and the results insinuate the same. I submitted a form stating what I wanted done, communicated via phone when the employee called asking what I wanted done, informed the owner over the phone and even text the employee! Out of what I requested to be cleaned, only half was completed. What a waste of money. The owner is extremely unprofessional, even after seeing pictures and proof of the horrible cleaning job their employee Karin did, they tried to say we made it dirty again, instead of taking ownership. I cannot believe this is their definition of clean (photos attached). I will also include photos that I took after I went out and bought cleaning supplies to clean the floors again after paying this company! Pictures don't lie Jo! I've never received emails from an owner of a company like I did from Jo. Please save yourself the time, money and headache. We've been using this company for a few years now. They use biodegradable products that are safe for our septic system, listen to requests, and offer friendly, reliable service. Hired them for a deep clean of our house, but they simply failed to clean LOTS of areas. We used this company for a deep clean of our vacant two story house. Jade was put in touch with us and assigned as our cleaner, and though sounded understanding about our requests and instructions, and happy to be there, she did a VERY POOR job... After her 4 hours of cleaning we found that she simply did not clean many parts of the house. When I told Jade we need a "deep clean" said that doesn't really mean anything to her because she see's *everything* and just cleans what's dirty...Not only did she fail to do a deep clean, but she left dirty entire areas. EX: Left uncleaned were the stairs, the upstairs floors, the base boards, the shelves, the pantry, the drawers etc. I'm not sure if she Jade got tired or what, but if that was the case, how about coming back the next day to finish the job? Or since it's a deep clean, maybe you should have brought a second helper?? We paid almost $200 for 4 hours of cleaning to be left only a half clean house. Obviously a "deep clean" means you need to pay more attention to detail than usual, but even if this was supposed to be normal cleaning, I would NOT be hiring Hummingbird again. read more

By far 5 stars. Amanda was prompt and so helpful coordinating with my schedule to get a cleaning gal out to my place that worked best for me. Daisy cleaned my home and besides being adorable and super sweet she was on time, efficient and did a fantastic job cleaning my studio. They are a local business that really cares about their work and employees, plus they leave your house clean with no smelly chemicals. We've been working with Hummingbird EcoCleaning for over a year, and our relationship started out positively (I even recommended them to friends at the beginning). However, over the last few months, it has sharply declined. There is a wide variance of quality and professionalism between cleaners, and we were switched to a cleaner who didn't show up on time, took much longer than needed, missed large parts of the house that were identified in the instructions, and put things back in the wrong place so consistently that I started to feel like I was being punk'd. On top of that, the cleaner damaged our property -- both knicked a wall and cracked a tile in our shower. We were told that Hummingbird would fix the damage, so thought all was good. However, instead of sending over a licensed professional, the owner's brother was sent over to fix it. I was told he had experience in construction, but it isn't to clear to me if he is licensed or adequately experienced. He didn't bring supplies to fix everything, so had to come back a second time. The second time, he texted 25 minutes before he was supposed to show up saying he was sending someone else in his place, and that they'd arrive in four and a half hours(!). However, that person instead arrived 20 minutes later (so four hours early), and turned out to be the cleaner who had ORIGINALLY DAMAGED OUR HOME. He told me that he didn't have supplies for half of the fixes, that he had no construction experience and had never performed the type of fix needed, and that he was planning on calling the brother (the original fixer) to have him walk him through the fix over the phone. I immediately asked him to leave. Suffice it to say - it's been three weeks since the original damage, and we've spent almost two full days dealing with the unprofessional and unlicensed staff that has been sent to our home to fix it. The damage is not fully repaired, and we eventually asked for a comped cleaning and to end our professional relationship with Hummingbird so that we didn't have to waste any more time on this. On top of this, Hummingbird has increased our rates inconsistently and without clear communication, and the owner often takes a week or more to respond to our e-mails or phone calls. Due to the low level of professionalism, inconsistent quality of cleaning, and the unfixed damage they did to our home, we've ended our relationship with them. read more

This company does excellent work and I definitely recommend them. To begin, Allison comes out and meets you, makes a list of supplies needed (she buys for you and adds to first bill), gives you a price, and works out your schedule. For a while I hired folks off of local bulletin boards, but they rotated out of the work pretty quickly. And I had to 'vet' new ones. Now Hummingbird does this for me and I'm happy to pay a bit more for it. They clean my small apartment with bright rugs and art every other week. The 'cleaners,' men and women, have been kind, interesting, and a pleasure to have around. I always feel my abode is lighter, brighter, warmer when they are done. I have hardwood floors that are mopped every time. It's a small local business trying hard!. In my case, I don't have health conditions that demand eco-cleaners, but I believe it's better for me and my guests and the smell and look are lovely. read more
