I visit hummus heaven every other week at the farmers market. The selection is far and wide and the samples make for such a fun activity on a Sunday afternoon. The gentlemen who work the stand are always kind and friendly. We usually get three or more hummuses along with the pita chips and the soft pita to make shawarma wraps the following week. Discovered hummus heaven at the farmer's market and it truly lives up to its name! Got their garlic and herb pita chips and cilantro jalepeno hummus. Garlic and herb pita chips: One of their most popular items and for good reason! Before this I have only had Stacy's pita chips aka the grocery store brand and now I feel scammed because these pita chips have shown me what true pita chips can be. They just fried their pita bread so the chips are incredibly fresh. The garlic and herb flavor was also a great addition and made it so snackable on its own! Cilantro jalepeno hummus: I love love love flavored hummus and this hit the spot. Cilantro can be controversial; depending on your genetic makeup it can actually taste like soap. I am lucky that it does not and loved the strong cilantro flavor. The jalepeno added a little kick and overall this paired nicely with the chips! read more

That apricot labne though!!! Saw hummus heaven at a festival recently and after tasting just about everything they made, I left with quite the stash. They were so generous with their tastings, and I'm so happy they were because I left with some items I never would've thought to try if it wasn't just handed to me! My absolute favorite, and new addiction, was their labne, which is similar to Greek yogurt but a bit thicker. I ended up going with the apricot but loved the fig, orange, and date flavors too. Going to have to find them at another market closer so I can stock up on some more since I ate the last container in about 4 sittings. As for the hummus flavors some of the standouts were the kale and almond, rosemary and white bean, and beetroot hummus! The beetroot was super unique, but a really fun one! read more

I love their hummus so much, especially the rosemary white bean hummus. However, this is the second time I have gone to one of their stands at the farmers market and gotten the wrong order. I asked for 2 rosemary white bean containers, and instead got some jalapeño hummus. The first time, I chalked it up to a simple mistake, but it happening for the second time is a bit disappointing, especially when I go out of my way to grab some of their hummus. The addiction is real!!! Why have I never heard of this place?! My boyfriend kicks himself for introducing me to Hummus Heaven because that's where all our money will be going towards, just kidding (maybe if we won the lottery) haha. But seriously, this is the best tasting, most flavorful (Tomato Basil for the win!) hummus I have ever tried. It's light and smooth - not like some other hummus that's thick and chalky tasting. We ran into these guys at the Niles farmer's market one Saturday and was hesitant when the guys said one container expires in 2 weeks. Not sure we'd be able to finish it in time, we only bought one - luckily, it was the Tomato Basil! Welp...wrong we were. We finished the entire container by that same night!! We wanted more and ended up driving to their Doolittle location to buy 3 more (3 for $15 vs. 1 for $6)!! One of them, we ventured out and tried the Roasted Garlic - meh, pass! Stumbled across Hummus Heaven's stand at the Jack London Square farmer's market on a Sunday morning. I am a HUGE hummus fan and was excited to try out their products. The Tomato Basil Spread was SO GOOD. It's like a light, basil-y pasta sauce but better. The tomatoes taste so fresh and the basil flavor was excellent. I dipped pretzel slices in the tomato basil spread for a nice salty savory situation. I think I went through the whole tub in one day. Woahhh. Give this one a try. This is hands down my favorite place to get hummus from. I found this place a few years ago at the San Leandro farmers market and they keep me coming back for more. They have such a great variety of hummus flavors and combinations. They also last for a good while. I recently tried the stuffed grape leaves and they were delicious, light and refreshing. They're a great little on the go snack. I LOVE the bread and chips. The lemon chips are my fav and the white and wheat mix bread is my other fav. The hummus is really reasonably priced. I'm glad that they are available at multiple farmers markets and always have the flavors I love. I highly recommend you go by their stand and sample all their hummus. If I could give them more stars, I would easily double them! I visit their stalls at the Niles' Farmer's Market on Saturdays or their booth on Sunday's at the Bay Street Market (Irvington District). I prefer the gentleman at the Sunday market, he seems better versed at the products and remembers me. He is so kind and attentive to his customers! They do have great hummus of course- but my tastebud love affair is with their dips and spreads! I cannot recommend the Tomato Basil Spread or the Basil Garlic Spread enough! They have a buy 4 for $20 deal- so I stock up on these two and share with friends and family. They allll love it too! I like to eat the Tomato Basil Spread on scrambled eggs and in sandwiches the most. Please stop by if you see them at your local FM! They are a local company and they are delivering amazing products! Junk. Stunned by the kind of rave reviews for this business. They are at the Walnut Creek farmer's market and I walked over and bought some basil and sun-dried tomato hummus with the garlic-herb chips. The chips had a very weird off-putting flavor to them (like the kind that I've witnessed at some of these Mexican taquerias who seem to use either cheap, re-used oil or lard). I couldn't tell that there was a garlic-herb seasoning on the chips. They were just gross, and I threw them away. The hummus wasn't any better. Couldn't tell that there was any basil or sun-dried tomato in it - had to season it up to make it edible. I'd skip this place for good. Stumbled upon this stand at the Saratoga Farmers Market (Wednesday 2-6p) and decided to give it a try. Chose the garlic hummus to play it safe and also the orange zest and berry yogurts. Larry, I think his name was, was very personable and very confident about his products! I'm happy to say, I'm hooked! The yogurt is excellent and I've been eating it with berries as a dessert. Horrible Business!! When the workers and the owners all sleep shower outside and all sleep in bunk beds with their spouses, then they make their humus all in the same space. They're dirty!
