Lots of you probably don't see in a typical supermarket. But they also sell vegetables, grocery, dairy, eggs. Ps. The cramped situation is fine btw. It's just what you'd expect. The female owner of this place is rude and disrespectful to their customers. My mom is a regular customer, but she has had pretty bad experiences here. My mom bought $90 worth of food here and asked if she has any calendars and the owner immediately said yes but she cannot give my mom one because my mom does not know how to read it. My mom said this is the type of calendar she needs and she knows how to read it, and then the owner said no i still cannot give you one, it is only for older people. This sounds ridiculous that my mom bought a costly amount of food and she still wont give a calendar. When my mom was about to checkout, there was another customer asking the owner where a product was, and the owner yelled "idk! This is a small shop that is a miniature version of a larger Asian supermarket. They have the standard items as well as a small butcher and some fresh veggies as well. My mom and grandma frequent this place and love to get meat from here as they say it is usually cheaper than the larger markets. The plaza it is in is very tiny. There is ample parking as it is next to a Starbucks, so you can use their parking if needed. Typically asian owner so don't expect any amazing service. I have been here multiple times and my mom loves this place! It's a very small mom and pop shop but they have pretty much everything! Lots of fresh meat and small assortment of fresh veggies/fruits to choose from. The most recent time I came was on Christmas Eve morning around 11 to buy pre sliced meat for our Hot pot dinner. We got about 5 trays but didn't have space in our fridge so asked if they could hold onto it and we came to pick it up before our dinner! Good thing we bought it earlier because when we came back during dinner wanting to pick up a few extra trays they were sold out. We got lots of Fatty Beef and Lamb - delish! This is my go to market if I need something really quick. Their meat and poultry are really fresh, but what I think their most underrated items is their Korean BBQ rib. It depends on how much you need, but they are usually packaged in a bag(you can ask the butcher to cut if you need a large amount). The ribs are full of meat and the size is perfectly cut. This shop has the rudest Owner i have never met. I was there today, and ordered 4lbs of Goat Meat. However, the guy in the meat counter, he doesn't weigh the meat. I've asked him, it's 4lbs?? (His answer is YES). So, I went to check out. The owner, she charged me for 5.50lbs. I was confused, and asked her why? It's a small market specializing in fresh pork. I meant meat from pigs just been slaughtered about few hours before dawn. I saw housewives carrying heavy plastic bags full of pork and poultry out of the door. I have to admit the fresh quality of the meat but I didn't buy anything. Why? Because the whole thing was not organized at all. They store random cuts of meat in different freezer containers in plastic bag without price neither weight.And because I didn't bring a lot of cash with me that day. I saw fresh silky chicken. Service has declined quite a bit as they have become busier. I can deal with that. However I feel that they are not sanitary. One lady keeps on putting the raw meat or chicken on the counter for customers to look at and touch. Another time a customer dropped a chicken on the floor which fell out of the bag. I am absolutely appalled by this disgusting shop. First, what's the point of having a phone number if you're not going to pick up? After my phone call was ignored once in the morning and another in the afternoon, I consecutively called 10 times but all went to voicemail. Second, if you don't speak Vietnamese, the employees will either ignore you or yell at you in a condescending manner (My apologies, I didn't know I was in Vietnam?). I felt so intimated at the meat counter bc the workers inside were angrily yelling at everyone (perhaps this is standard Vietnamese culture?) but I felt so uncomfortable so just left with the self-grab hot pot meat. Third, I'm not exaggerating but this shop is physically so small it's impossible to social distance inside. Both times I went, there was at least 15 people inside when the capacity seems to be 10. No matter where you stand, there is absolutely no way to stand next to another person because the walkway is that narrow. If there are more than two people checking out, the line will merge into the butcher section where people are yelling to get their meat. Because of this, be ready for unruly Vietnamese young and old people to shove you and cut in line. I went on my own the first time and I didn't really care. Today, my dad was standing close to me shielding me from all these pushy people. We weren't in anyone's way because I was literally pushing myself against the fridge to leave as much room as possible for people to pass. Then out of nowhere this man knocks me so hard (while stepping on my white shoes) I almost fell down. Obviously this pissed my dad off and told the man to apologize to me. He threw his face literally 2 inches from my dad's face (during a pandemic) and yelled "I GO TO THE BACK AND WORK. MOVE." I don't know about y'all but I'm ok with being disrespected but if someone disrespects my dad in front of me, I'd wanna gouge their eyes out. This shop is home to the rudest employees and customers. Lastly, I was willing to let everything go just because the hot pot meat was like $5 cheaper than hmart. BIG MISTAKE. After the hot pot dinner, my family and I had the worst stomachache. I puked for the first time in 16 years. I wanted to make sure it was the meat so the next day I only ate a few pieces of the meat then the same thing happened. The meat here isn't clean nor safe. It's not worth risking your long-term health to save a few dollars. Hey owner if you're reading, you should be grateful your dirty little shop is still in business from how inhumane you allow your employees to treat your customers. This is my absolute favorite market in the area. I used to go to markets like GW and Hawaiian, but why pay extra for less quality food. I love how fresh their products are. If you come during certain times of the day, you can see food companies delivering fresh noodles, veggies, and most importantly, MEAT. The family is really nice as well but can be stressed at times. They don't like it when customers take extra bags, since this market offers them for free. I usually have to pay for bags at other markets, but here I don't, so I get it. They also have a lot more customers due to the pandemic, so if you have ever seen the number of people in the store, you'd be stressed as well. I think they have handled the Coronavirus transition pretty well. They put up plastic walls to divide customers and employees and sanitize their counters pretty frequently. Once, I got to the market at 5:15 and they still let me in even though they were mopping the floor and sanitizing everything. They put arrows on the floor to enforce social distancing and don't allow customers with masks in. They also altered their hours from 8 AM -8 PM to 8 AM to 5 PM. They are always extremely busy from 11 AM to 1 PM so make sure you go earlier or later in the day. The only downside to the store is its location. The parking is so small, sometimes I have to park in the Starbuck in the next plaza over. read more
