So disappointed on my recent visit to your establishment. I have been a customer for some time, but during my visit today, I noticed a significant decline in both food quality and customer service. I spent approximately $40, yet the dishes were not at the standard I previously experienced. In particular, the Canh Chua, which has always been my favorite, contained noticeably fewer main ingredients and lacked the flavor it once had. Additionally, the front display did not have any dish names, making it difficult for customers to identify the items being offered. Several customers, including myself, had to ask for clarification. Unfortunately, the staff member assisting us responded in a rude and dismissive manner, with comments such as "It's a different one" or "It tastes different." This type of interaction is unprofessional and discourages customers from wanting to return. I had intended to purchase more items, but the poor service and lack of courtesy changed my mind. I have been a regular @ Hung Vuong Tofu for YEARS and have made plenty of food purchases but primarily come for the fresh soy milk made in-house. My guy and I will come religiously once, maybe twice a week, depending on our needs. On today's visit, I was met with new signage on the soy milk refrigerator stating that soy milk purchases are only guaranteed for a 3 day shelf life. Say whaaaaaat???!! I'm all about supporting mom & pop shops but possibly giving my child spoiled products is a no-go for me. The 3 day shelf life is waaaay too short and extremely an inconvenience. I'm not sure if the recipe has changed or why this notice was suddenly posted but I won't be coming here for these particular purchases anymore. I'll stick to the stuff I can find at the grocery store and save myself the stress and headache. 3 stars because the foods are still good but the soy milk situation is totally disappointing. Wanted to check this place out since I've seen it when passing by at a nearby plaza where I get boba from when I'm in the mood. Was surprised that it was still open as in the past it was closed so I decided to go inside and see what they had available. Since it was close to closing time it didn't look like they had much left over but I did notice the last two ready to go items by the register and decided to ask the lady behind the counter if they had any banh beo. She told me that that was the last one available so I decided to take it along with the banh bot lac that was left. We started talking about how much I love banh beo and the different Vietnamese food that I've had and she was so friendly to talk to. She gave me a few suggestions for the next time I come back as she mentioned that they sell out of everything pretty fast so it's best to get there early in the day. So glad that I copped the last two items there since they were soo good!! They were so freshly made and didn't taste like they were left out sitting for a few hours. The banh bot loc was plenty and went well with the nuc mam that accompanied it. I then tried out the banh beo and was soo impressed by how soft it was. I've tried many other ones at restaurants but these were bomb! I will definitely come back here when I have the craving for them again. The place itself is a bit small but they had a lot of other food and groceries to purchase. They have a freezer full of other food that you can pick up and take to make at home and other snacks that looked good. Got the small sweet tofu and it was great! It comes with the ginger syrup. Pour it into your tofu and make sure you MIX it immediately so your syrup doesn't go all to the bottom. We made the mistake and ended up with mostly plain tofu on top and very sweet tofu at the bottom. We will come back to try their other offerings.
