The house is open on the weekend (from about May to October), and always has a friendly guide to show you round. Even if you've been before it's worth going again because they are constantly rediscovering old features and restoring it to its former glory. This is a wonderful opportunity to see the progress of historical reconstruction. Added bonus - there is always live 17th-century music in the house on Saturdays. Also - If you enjoy concerts, and live in the area, then make sure you ask them for their list of events. They are always high-calibre and thoroughly enjoyable if you like that sort of thing. It is in Commercial Road, Swindon…read more With the credit crunch hitting us hard, it is a good place to pick up a bargain, as you can buy second hand goods there cheaper than you can buy similar goods new. They sell everything from jewellery to mobile phones, to Televisions, games consoles and games to bikes. They pay a fair price for goods that they buy from you. It is not exactly in the town centre, but only about 5 minutes walk away. There is a car park across the road, which is pay and display.

They test the items before paying you, so nobody can trade in broken items. They sell all the items that are traded in for good prices so you can pick up a bargain. They sell lots of electricals, dvds, cds, bikes and jewelerry all second hand. I would reccomend looking in here rather than looking in a brand new shop as you will get much better deals. Obviously you don't know if they will have what you want as it is a second hand shop, but it is definitely worth a look.

I find treating the customer this way is contemptuous Today I returned a Masai cotton top which I bought a year ago, yes I know you are thinking well you have had it a year, yes and I would say the same if I had worn it every week and got my wear out of it, when in fact I had worn it only 5 times. I pointed this out to the store supervisor but she wasn't interested in that. She just kept saying well you have had it a year. Needless to say I did not get a refund but then knowing how they deal with returns I was not expecting one. Whilst I am on the subject I find the staff on the concession counters abysmal, they might a well have a do not disturb sign around their neck.

In the doorway they always have a nice range of cards ideal if you need an arty all occassion card in a hurry! They sell quite a bit of heavy wood furniture, and fabulous glasses and candles to adorn it with! It is a lovely store where you can get some great home furnishing ideas, the staff are always keen to give their ideas to. My criticism is they need to clean the store and polish the furniture!!

It is a typical charity shop, that raises money for a good cause. They sell the usual range of clothes, shoes, toys, handbags, CD's, ornaments etc. that you would expect to dind in a charity shop. It is clean and tidy and the staff are pleasant. There are limited car parking spaces outside the shop or a pay and display car park about 5 minutes away in the Boroughfields area.

The staff are helpful enough but there just seems to be something missing. It's a bit of a boring store I guess that sells some really naff items. I did shop here over Christmas though and bought my mum a new watch - say no more!

My husband and I bought our wedding rings here and also had my engagement ring resized. The service was friendly and quick. We had our rings engraved which they have to send out to do, and were given a wide range of choice in font and sizing. The rings themselves were cheaper than comparable ones elsewhere and they seem to be holding up well so far! The work on the rings was done on time, and to a high standard.
