If I could leave 0 stars I would, I walk in to pick up pizzas I ordered and the man running the store, I couldn't tell you his name since he never even came to the counter to address CUSTOMERS he just stared at me and a room full of let me say it again CUSTOMERS and kept cutting pizzas. One of the worst establishments I've ever seen and let me help corporate out by saying he had a mustache. When I finally got his attention he said "I don't know how to work the money thing" What employee says that to CUSTOMERS. Do better read more

I've tried to order a pizza here twice in the last month with problems each time. Three weeks ago I called in an order to pick up. They said 25 minutes. When I got there they said they were having problems and it would be an hour before the pizza was ready. I left and went somewhere else. Today I ordered another pizza, with pick up in 25 minutes. When I get there they said they screwed my order up and it would be another 15 minutes. When I got the pizza home i discovered it was burnt. Not sure who owns this particular store but you're letting the kids run it into the ground. Very lackadaisical attitude. Thank goodness there are other pizza choices. read more

You better have an appetite !!! Delivery was fast and prompt with a very nice delivery person. Food was hot, and not stuck to the top of box. We have tried other pizza places in the area and this one has awesome yummy veggie sandwiches will be able to make three meals out of these. Will try pizza next time and the prices are very reasonable. Would defiantly recommend for large parties. Will defiantly order from here again. read more

We are staying nearby at a vacation rental and wanted to save some money by eating in one evening. They have lots of deals for family sized meals. We ordered delivery and definitely got it earlier than quoted. We didn't love their thin crust but the original crust was fine. We got two large two topping pizzas, cheesy bread and a 2-liter for $25.99. Delivery driver was very nice. Good affordable pizza option in the area. read more

The pizza is never hot when delivered. It's inconsistent. At times it's thick, other times thin. it seems like they are low on pepperoni. It's ok but that's not saying much. read more

Here's the thing. You go to Howie's not because it's the best pizza in town but because it's the cheapest. But, oddly enough, it's pretty decent, and a large pepperoni for $5.95 is a real deal. The only thing is that they don't bake it quite long enough for me, so the crust is a little bready. I ask them not to slice it, then I take it home, add a little extra cheese, and slide it into a 400° oven for five minutes or so. It comes out nice and crispy that way. Don't forget to grab a couple packages of their garlic butter dipping sauce (two for $1). Surprisingly good. read more

I just placed a phone order for a pizza pickup. My mom was going to do the pickup as i continued work. I originally called the wrong Hungy Howie's in South Venice. Asked them if mom came into pay, could they carry the pizza out to the car for her ? The response was "of course !". They redirected me to the Nokomis Hungry Howie's and i called them. "Could you carry the pizza out to the car for her? " No. How about if she parks right in front (15 feet from the counter). No. Sorry, we are too busy. I drove over to get the pizza. There were 4-5 people working there, not obviously busy and zero customers in the store. They easily could have satisfied this simple, quick customer request with almost no interruption. They chose NO. I ordered an extra large pizza, half mushroom, half sausage. about $12.40. We both found the pizza marginally OK. Crust was limp. Sauce and toppings OK but kind of blah... I've had lots better at many places. I'll try a different pizza place next time. read more

This Hungry Howies does not honor their Lunch Combos. They never have the Spaghetti Combo, Only Ravioli, but that is not part of the Combo. They said, Owner looses too much money on the Combos as it is now and will not offer Spaghetti. read more

I called them on a slow night (a Monday). The guy on the phone was rude and slow to answer. Then the food took an hour and 10 minutes to get here - only .7 miles away! The driver never apologized for the tardy arrival and expected a tip for being 10 minutes later than promised. Never again, Howie. Never again. read more

I had a horrible experience at the Hungry Howie's, formerly Little Caesar's Pizza, in the Nokomis Village Shopping Center. I ordered a pizza and the person charged me the wrong amount, then proceeded to credit my account. He did not know how to print a credit receipt from the cash register. He then charged me again. I will check my bank account to make sure that I only paid once. He then proceeded to make my pizza without gloves on. At that point, frustrated from the experience, I left the store without the pizza that I paid for. Two days later I went in to speak with the owner. He asked me to grab a seat and wait until he could corroborate the story with his weekend worker on the phone. Really!! I have been waiting for two days! So you are going to make me wait longer. After he got off the phone he told me that I cost him money because the pizza that was made for me was thrown away. My response was that he made it without wearing gloves and personal hygiene is tantamount in preparing food. Hepatitis A can be contracted through food preparation. I requested another pizza and he said, "No." I asked for a refund, and he said, "No." I was speechless because I did not feel that my request was unreasonable, and I exhibited great patience throughout this ordeal. He lost a customer for life for the price of a medium, cheese pizza. I will never order another pizza from any Hungry Howie's ever again. read more

It's 10:22pm. This locations website says it's open until 11pm. I called and no one answered. Called again and a young "man" picked up and said we are closed then hung up. No hello. No hungry Howies. I called back and he answered "yes.." I told him they were a place of business and that was rude. He said "that's corporate we are a franchise" (even though though it was THEIR locations website) then hung up again.
