This is a grass roots operation and I love that! Owned and operated by military veteran buddies! My mother in law is 72 and she loves zip lining. When she came to visit for a few days from Texas I said I would take her zip lining. The crew was incredibly helpful with her because there is a little bit of uphill and downhill hiking to each zip line. They also gave very clear instructions on how to use the hand brake system (neither one of us had used it before). The demonstration and practice session was helpful. We both had an awesome time. Me, my wife and a couple of freinds visited Hungry Mother Adventures on September 27th for the 11am tour. The zip lines were great! The arrangement of the lines were such that very little strenuous climbing was required. I have been on zip lines from North Carolina to Arizona and this ranks right up there with the best. The guides were great fun, well trained, professional and very helpful. My wife and I are avid "zippers" and we hope to return again durring the fall foliage peak in October. read more

We are here visiting from Allen,Texas. We decided to be adventurous today and drive to Hungry Mother Adventures. We did not make a reservation, but they squeezed us in since there were only 2 people zip lining. The girls had a blast and said both guides were funny and fun. The girls felt very safe and loved all 5 zip lines. If you are looking for a fun place to zipline I highly recommend! I also recommend making a reservation! We went ziplining. They had fantastic zip lines! We had so much fun. Our guides, Greg and Daniel, were informative and fun. This course is so much nicer than any place we have been before. Because of the equipment and the way the course is built, we felt very safe. When you approach the end of a line, it has automatic stops with backups. A big plus also is the location. You zip through and above the trees with great views of mountains and valleys. Highly recommend! read more

Three of us - Amanda, Nancy and Vee - went zipping on July 4th. two guys ( names start with M and M) gave us great instruction and took us up to the first zip line. I was a little apprehensive on my first ride but once I zipped down through the trees, it was beautiful and a lot of fun. All three of us had a great time on the 5 zip lines. Excellent adventure in zip-lining. I absolutely enjoyed my first time zip-lining! The course is fun, a very nice length, and the hikes between lines are short and reasonable. The ground is mixed dirt and rock, so tennis shoes or hiking boots are a must. I am working on scheduling another trip with my son. I highly recommend Hungry Mother Adventures. read more

I took my two daughters and wow what can I say.... this was an adventure that we will remember for the rest of our lives. The view was spectacular!!! it ended up just being the three of us with two guides. We were visiting family in the area and made a last minute decision to do a "bucket list" thing. I'm so glad this was our first ziplining experience. The guides were so nice and funny! My family lives in Marion VA, so when we where down for a visit we finally got to zip line and it was great, the office staff were very nice and the tour guides were fun, professional, informative and experienced. We enjoyed the Zipline for the first time during July 4th weekend. The staff at Zipline guided everyone with instructions on how to glide on the rope and stop at the right time. They were very funny and kept everyone believing themself to do. read more

Great experience. Did a Family outing over Thanksgiving. Staff was friendly, helpful, with attention to safety. Course consists of 5 lines zipping from ridge line to ridge line as we worked our way back to the station. Highly recommend. read more
