While staying in a nearby bed and breakfast just outside of Tandil proper, our hosts gave us restaurant recommendations and we headed into the center. We walked around a little and saw this super cute bar and decided to head in. It was relatively empty when we sat down at the bar, but a slow trickle of people turned into a flood as every seat became occupied over the next 30 minutes. This place is popular, and for good reason!
There was a team of bartenders, but one mainly took care of us and though I forget his name, he was so friendly and talkative. We opted for beer that was brewed locally, a caipirinha, and shared a plate of potatoes covered in mushrooms, cream, pancetta, cheese, and deliciousness. read more
