History

Established in 1952.

Established in 1952, Leland "Chuck" Hunter moved to Burley from Idaho Falls and started selling real estate and insurance to the growing community in Cassia and Minidoka counties. His first company was Snake River Mutual that specialized in farm, home, and auto insurance. With his wife Shirley, the company prospered and in 1973 Chuck's son Charles "Alan" Hunter graduated from Boise State College and joined the agency. Alan's wife Jeanne joined the staff in 1974. The family worked well together, and the agency continued to grow. Prior to Alan's arrival, real estate was the main business, but Alan preferred the insurance business and that soon became the agency's primary focus. Kent McClellan joined the staff in 1994 after selling insurance for 16 years in Utah and for Farm Bureau in Idaho. His wife Vickie started working as a customer service representative in 1995.
