Mention the word "chocolate" and I'm there! Sure, the Hunter Valley Chocolate Factory may not be Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory (......damn!) but despite its relatively small size, is still a humble and nice local chocolate factory that serves the area. They house heaps of products, not just chocolates but also things like sauces, dressings, syrups and goods from other countries. They've got a window you can stare through as the machines twirl and stir the chocolates. Just be careful not to stare too long, otherwise you may end up fogging up the window with your hot breath and drooling over the table. As far as chocolates go, yes, you'll find it. Different flavoured bars and fudge and chocolate rocks and turtles and slices and and and...mmmmm chocolate haven. It's a nice little break from the wine!

It's a nice place to visit with more than just chocolate on offer but in the already expensive place of hunter valley this place is more expensive than the other shops I've passed! At the same time this place has it all in one place but I would recommend buying from places before starting to shop here

Just a chocolate shop. There was hardly anyone inside and they refused to do a tasting because we hadn't booked a day in advance. Not worth the stop unless you just want to buy fancy chocolates. read more

Saw this on tv program . Got a flight to sydney after a long drive got there and was told that they weren't making chocolate... Saturday lunch time... If you like nuts in your chocolate you will like this place but other than that it was extremely disappointing and was more impressed with the rocks carved out on the side of the highway . read more

Visited HVCC on our last day and stopped in for a coffee - not bad, had better. The chocolate is a different story - if your indecisive, this is not a place for you to hang out - a great range of diverse locally made chocolate and for those who are lovers of fudge, this is it. A must do for the Hunter Valley Bucket List read more
Yum! All sorts of chocolate goodies. Sure, everything in this tourist centre of the Hunter Valley is a little pre-packaged and glossy. But the kids will go nuts for all the lollies. And you'll go nuts for some of their fine chocolate concoctions. I thought their chilli chocolate was fantastic; you can get it in a range if hotnesses, with full-on chilli flakes, or ground finely throughout, or mixed with lime for a gentler edge. And they're happy to let you taste! You can even order it online from the web page above. read more
