I had business interactions with the owner of College Hunks (Remington Curtis) through an unrelated…read moreprofessional matter, and based on that experience, I would not recommend doing business here. What stood out to me was a lack of follow-through and professionalism in handling business matters. Communication around commitments and expectations was inconsistent, which raised concerns about reliability and accountability. Based on my experience, I would be cautious and make sure expectations, pricing, and commitments are clearly defined and documented upfront before engaging with this business.

Do not use this business…read more (College Hunks is a franchise and to be fair this applies only to the Draper, Utah franchisee) When the time came to settle, we paid the charges and told the owner to his face that they were the worst we have ever seen. We hired these people to pack and load for a long distance move. We have done many including one previously using the U-Pack mode. Packing: the crew (of 2) had no idea what they were doing...which we learned when we opened cartons after unloading in our new location. Loading: Using a U-Pack carrier one is charged by the amount of space used, and we wound up using and paying for 12 feet over estimate due to loose packing. Upon unloading we found that much of our belongings had been improperly padded/wrapped (if at all). There's plenty more. Suffice it to say that we have incurred hundreds of dollars of damage, to our property including to irreplaceable antiques. Numerous telephone calls to them have gone unanswered. No replies to left messages. I repeat: Do not use this business.

A 5-star Dump. To be sure!…read more It's so much more than a place to leave your garbage. They have an "Take-It, or Leave-It" area; where you can drop off large items, like furniture, that are still in good, used condition. And then, others can "peruse the merchandise" and take home something new-ish. For instance, when I drove by there were 4 matching dining room chairs, and a rocker/recliner chair; ripe for the picking. I was there specifically to purchase mulch from the green-waste area. For $25 you can buy one loader-sized scoop (seriously, it's enormous) of compost, or mulch. There are three different kinds of mulch available. And if you don't need a giant serving of compost, you can buy a bag of it for $3. They're doing a pretty good job of keeping the waste managed. Everything was very well-organized.

This was one of the worst customer service experiences I've had at a landfill. In my experience, it's well worth the extra drive to the Ogden landfill. The staff there are much more welcoming, the process is better organized, and green waste disposal is handled far more efficiently. I was greeted professionally, directed where I needed to go, and did not have to pay for green waste disposal. Based on this experience, I would strongly recommend the Ogden landfill over this facility.
