Online has a huge selection of ebooks and audiobooks you can download through Kindle, Ipad, and Adobe. The wifi can be spotty, but it's free so I never complain. The computers usually get taken quickly as do the study booths. The bathrooms are clean and the conference rooms are nice. Also, there's a good selection of music. The first floor children's area has more games than you can imagine along with a lizard!! Parking can be painful. The garage under the library is not recommended if you have a large SUV or truck. It gets really tight. Sometimes, it's just easier to pay for street parking.

The front desk person was very soft spoken and pleasant. I didn't feel judged for my library card shortcomings. After the documents were printed, they let my partner pay for them but wouldn't release them to them. That feels very professional and secure. The atmosphere is peaceful and quiet save for the occasional excited toddler bouncing around. There's the bookery which is not only clean and cozy but stunningly fancy looking, kind of like a little palace. Items bought there are yours to keep. The prices are more than reasonable, some of the stuff is antiques. There's a teen wing, non-fiction, a chess board, dvds, sensory items, and a few free shelves. But so much more! There's useful documents everywhere, from a library-offered self-guided scavenger hunt to incredibly helpful mental health resources. Bathrooms are clean and open to the public. I recommend the summer reading program for kids, mine did it for a few years. It's incredibly rewarding for them. Bosler will always be my favorite library. Maybe I'm biased, but I think it deserves every bit of its praise. I will always go here.

The last five or six times I tried to look something up you were down; after it finally came back up you told me I was a "blocked user" so that I couldn't proceed any further than before. There is also this one REALLY MEAN girl who works at the check-out desk. Look, I love libraries, I really do. I actually USE the library quite frequently unlike a majority of my students who don't even know where it is. But you have to get rid of that miserable woman, she doesn't even look you in the face when you walk up to the desk. Last, your hours SUCK! Never in my life have I gone to a University with SUCKY hours! And I've been enrolled in far crappier schools; if you wonder why Penn State has a drinking problem, maybe it's because you've created a climate where no one is able to study where they need after 9pm on a damn weekend. The librarians were so pleasant and the ambience is wonderful for a library with lots of places to sit and read/do research. I noticed a good number of people coming and going and it seems that the roomy children's section was being well utilized during my visit. There are also several boxes of free books available when you first come in, too! I am a big proponent of libraries so I am very glad to see this library in good use! :)

None of the staff are very computer literate, so if you need help with something, you're out of luck. The hours are very limited, making it a poor resource for anyone with a 9-5 job or for anyone still in school. At least a couple of the staff members have made racist or transphobic comments in my presence, although I don't know if they realized I was there. But they do get one star for fulfilling the basic book-lending function of a library. There's also a bathroom and a water cooler for patrons.

Recently remodeled, the Coyle Free Library is located in the heart of Chambersburg PA. As a true…read morelover of books, I've always thought that a city's library is one of its treasures. Coyle Free lives up to my expectations. It was one of our first stops after moving here (library cards for the whole family) and has continued to be a bright spot for us. We're here every Saturday morning for free Spanish and French classes and today there was an extra treat, Japan Day Celebration complete with a master calligrapher and a master in the art of taiko drumming. The staff is helpful and knowledgeable and there is a mini cafe on the main level. You could literally stay all day.

It stands beside the Middle Spring Creek and is shaded by large, old trees. In the summer months, children are often zipping down the handicapped ramp and pointing to ducks in the creek. It is definitely a family-oriented place, and the library's strong point is its children's collection and variety of activities. But anyone will enjoy relaxing in a rocker in the front room by a big, bright window. Also, be sure to check out the Book Nook, a used book store run by the Friends of the SPL. There's always a treasure to be found! I'm so happy to have grown up with this library as a main theme in my life. I went to their programs as a kid, got a job there as a teenager and stayed for seven years, through college. It will always hold a strong place in my heart.
