The Visitor's center of Huntingdon County is a nice place to stop as you drive up to Raystown Lake. They have a gift shop, and an educational area with displays and history of the area which I find is very informative. Also I noticed some tours going through when I was there and I thought that was a nice touch. They have a deck that overlooks the marina and the lake and its a good spot for some great views. Also you can walk down below and hike. There is a playground and picnic areas on site and you can even have weddings there. Definitely gives you more of an appreciation of this beautiful area. read more
