She also said she would make sure proper training was given to staff so the front desk that doesn't handle billing refers billing questions to the correct department and they include in there statement that you owe X and if insurance doesn't pay this you will owe X. Hopefully GA Dermatology will learn and improve from this experience. Not sure how to change recommendation from not recommend to recommend. Unethical, illegal, crooks!!!!! First off the only positive the doctor and nurse at Hinesville were awesome but the front desk staff and billing office (Mandy Specifically) are Unethical, illegal crooks! The front office informed me at time of service that the only thing I'll have to pay for the procedure and visit is $25 so I agreed to the procedure. Come to find out the front desk doesn't even handle billing, that's handled by another office, so they aren't qualified to answer billing questions. What they should of said is I don't handle billing but I can let you speak to who does. Later I got a bill for $260. I spoke to Mandy and she informed me I only owe $50 for the Pathology. Technically the front desk never said Pathology in our verbal agreement so I paid that and at that time however if I was told it was extra I would of declined the pathology but they ran it without even asking me. I asked Mandy are we good? I don't owe anything more? Account closed? And she said yes. Well fast forward about a month and I get a bill for $103. I call Mandy back and she changes her stance and says that I owe more money because insurance didn't cover it. Mind you previously she said I will owe nothing more. The correct and professional thing she should of said is your bill is this BUT if insurance doesn't cover this you will owe this but she did not say that, the only thing she said about insurance is that she didn't submit claim and the bill I got was a mistake. They don't honor there verbal agreements and are Unethical crooks! The only reason I paid the bill is because I have almost 800 credit score and I don't want to deal with collections and effecting my credit score. I'll never return to this practice and will never recommend them to anyone and I know people that refers individuals to medical practices and I'll do everything I can to make sure they loose more than the money they cost me. To make a verbal agreement then change it is ILLEGAL!!!! However the money I owed them wasn't worth my time in small claims court. I'd definitely Find somewhere else and don't trust them with billing.

My initial visit with her was ok - I was excited about the cream she prescribed and the facial regimen she suggested - nothing spectacular. However, this second visit, it was a wam bam thank you ma'am this go round. Her nurse assistant seemed irritable and Huntley did also. I mean, neither of them smiled nor said "good day." She ran in, and she ran out! Not thorough at all. Perhaps, I was oblivious to the fact that I am a woman of color, and all this time I thought that didn't matter - especially since my nieces are African Americans. Well, it definitely felt uncomfortable this time. Silly me for thinking Huntley is open to seeing people of color. I won't be returning to see her specifically. I see another reviewer had a similar experience w/her. FYI: For those women of color who've had a similar experience w/Huntley, Ms. Tamika Chester is an NP w/GA Dermatology that I pinpointed who perhaps would be more welcoming of women of color. Huntley, shame on you.

Throughout my years as a patient at various medical offices across the country, I must acknowledge…read morethat the staff at Skin Care Physicians of Georgia are exceptionally prompt and empathetic. Upon entering the doctor's office, I observed the seating area and the check-in desk, along with a television to watch while waiting to see the physician assistant or doctor, or another medical professional. When my turn arrived, I was escorted to the back where I was taken to the patient room to discuss my concerns or questions with the physician assistant or doctor. The patient rooms are well-maintained and clean, which I appreciate; who wouldn't prefer a tidy room? Personally, I would certainly favor a clean patient room. Trust me, I have encountered my share of unclean and non-sterile patient rooms in the past, and it was far from a pleasant experience as a patient. John, the physician assistant, along with his medical assistant, was very courteous upon entering and inquired about my concerns. John promptly reviewed my issues and addressed them appropriately. Am I satisfied as a patient at Skin Care Physicians of Georgia? Indeed, I am.
