The Canadian National Guard was also very understanding about my manly-man voice. The commander completely understood my boisterous reticence in going into a botanical garden and the appropriateness of an 'outside' voice. Nevertheless, I completely enjoyed myself. On entering I saw a English manicured garden. Then we went through a huge and deep shrub wall, suitable for a castle gate into another garden. Then a kid's garden with kid statuary, a small farm zoo, a meandering herb garden, a couple of ponds (each different), flower gardens, statuary, and on and on and on. All were incredibly well maintained, except for those which were supposed to be more wild. Almost every five feet brought a different prospective and new delights. We went in June and the colors were fantastic. Each area was crafted with a completely different look and feel. It does pay to meander around the grounds. We went into their cafe for a tea. The waitstaff was wonderful there too, so was their tea. I very highly recommend a visit. Hopefully, by then, my fingernail gouges will be gone.

The waitstaff is eager to please and the food was tasty. Overall a great experience and would recommend to friends and family. It is a 10 out of 10 everyone needs to experience this restaurant. NOT IMPRESSED... as I never got to see it…read more The only reason it gets a star is because it is cool to drive across the sea floor at low tide. So, this place is only open based on the tides. There are days it is only open for a few hours. There is a chart for their hours, today they are actually open from 1030 to 330. More than 3hours, unfounded I tell ya! I had a day picked out last week to go on to the island where I had plenty of time for seeing and picnicking... I got to the gate CASH ONLY. So I turned back and returned to town to get cash from the ATM... the only town bank would not accept a US card! I never got to see this place due to CASH ONLY and a bank that wouldn't accept US bank cards! I also have been told, any place that is CASH ONLY in Canada is possibly shady due to businesses avoiding tax laws. Places like this that only accept cash have the potential of turning people away like myself... If you don't take plastic, you don't get my business!
