They're VW Audi specialists, but they still don't seem that upmarket. Of course, from a garage you need them to be good at fixing cars, not customer service, but the whole place still seems a bit dirty and 'matey'. Still, they did the tyres in a couple of hours (longer than they said they would, but it was still pretty quick) and the price was apparently quite reasonable, especially for central Oxford. You can see them working on the cars, which is always reassuring and strangely hypnotic to watch. The entrance isn't at all obvious, but just drive into the warehouse-style building, park up and someone will come and help.

Within half an hour of arriving at the garage the problem was accurately diagnosed and as the spare part was unavailable, a temporary replacement part was fashioned from spares - what mastery! I am happy to say that the car now runs beautifully. The mechanics were very friendly and we discussed the car throughout the job; I felt extremely satisfied with the level of service, so much so that I have booked it in for another unrelated electrical fault on Monday. Once I reported it they got angry on me and blamed me for leaving money in the car. I understand I should have not left the money inside the car. But does that mean they nick it!!!. Be ware of them, they nick the small amount and guess what they can steal any original part of your car and fit any rubbish!!!. Just be aware of them. This is not all, they raised their voice at me and shown me the door and shut the door hard after me. It is not about money, but they blamed me instead of apologising and investigating the incident. I did not expect them to return my money and neither I asked for it. But just one liner Apology from them and assurance of looking into the incident would have satisfied me(Though they could have decided not to look into the incident, but what would have costed them to assure me to investigate the incident and apologise!!!!, no brain, no sense of speaking to customer. Simple attitude of keeping the customer happy would have not made me to write my pain here. Their behaviour pained me more than the money loss!!!

Biggest mistake of my life! I had booked my car in for a routine major service which was supposed to cost £295. But on the day of the service,I was called by the service department saying they had found another fault and this was going to cost me £300 more! As I am not a technician and the department instilled a sense of panic into me and I agreed for the extra work to be done. When I went to collect the car,I asked to examine the part they replaced and I didn't see any defect with it,but I paid the full amount of over £600! On checking the service book I was shocked that it was filled out wrongly by a supposedly qualified technician! it was then that the problems got worse and I began to suspect that the extra work I was told was needed was not actually needed. I suspected the dealership made up a non existant fault to extort more money out of me! When I raised the issue of the unnessecary work and my service book filled out incorrectly with the Aftersales Manager and the Director of the company they were simply not bothered. It seemed to me that they had got their money out of me and were not prepared to rectify matters. I had to question the fact that if a supposedly experienced technician was incompetant enough not to fill out a service book properly, how could I be sure he actually carried out the service or the supposed "repair" competantly? I bitterly regret using this Dealership and I strongly warn everyone to avoid them. I think they are crooks and conmen!!

I have always found Oakeys to be fair in thier charges and have always been pleased with the work done. They also for a very small fee provide a loan car whilst they work on your own - a very good idea and much appreciated by those of us who just have to get to work depiste car trouble.

Absolute scam merchants- avoid at all costs rude and unhelpful to boot…read more My car failed it's MOT due to rear brake issues (uneven brake force) at the Salisbury Kwik Fit who decided they were too busy to do the repairs and suggested going to another branch. I work in Newbury so it was the logical choice. After 'inspecting' the car they tried to convince me that the problem was that the brakes at the front needed replacing (to solve a rear brake issue!) and became very confrontational when I asked for a reason for this work being carried out. The best they could come up with was 'air in the brakes' - despite there being no sign of this. The staff I dealt with, one of who I presume to be the manager as he was in a shirt rather than the usual uniform, we're evasive, unhelpful and In the case of the manager he tried to be agressive and intimidating using scare tactics to try and get me to agree to the work. When I declined the work and picked the car up the wheels had not ever been taken off - the cable ties holding the wheel trims in are still in place. When pressed they said they had looked at the rear drums, opened and inspected them and found nothing wrong- an outright lie. Having now taken the car to my local mechanic to have the work carried out, there was a cylinder in the rear drum that had ceased - a £20 part - and nothing to do with the front brakes that I was told needed to be replaced. For peace of mind I also had the front brakes checked and they were found to be well within acceptable wear limits and perfectly safe to drive. Thankfully I am competent when it comes to cars and actually do a fair amount of my own maintainance so was able to spot a con but I'm sure many people would have bought into it and agreed the work - and it still wouldn't have passed an MOT afterwards. So, never again will I use Kwik Fit and I will do my very best to make others aware of their shoddy ways.

They have a waiting area which was nice too! They explained everything they did and it is nice to use a friendly garage! Their prices are reasonable too! I can highly recommend this garage and it's staff!
