The selection here also is much better and seems to have many of the higher end items you normally would only find at specialty shops or M&S. The only thing which bothers me about this place is the fact that for some reason around lunch and dinner time it is completely filled with elderly shoppers who for whatever reason congregate at those times and the queues come to a standstill. If you avoid those two times you will find the queues are not bad and the selection is brilliant.

There was a great variety of packaged food, but I must confess, I was only in the area for vacation so I did not look for produce. I have no comment on their fresh product section. You can get soda for a decent price as well as candies, chips. They have a very quick moving check out section and the staff are very helpful. Great place to stop by if you need to stock up on snacks and things.

You won't get everything that the likes of Dunne's or Tesco carry but you will get most of your requirements. Along with the usual groceries, they have a hot food section, a wine and beer section and carry a decent range of newspapers (including Sunday's). They also involve themselves in the community, mainly via sponsorship, and recently held a children's art competition. It is a bright store, well laid out, reputedly Centra's biggest in Munster. Instead, the stalls mainly sell produce, meat, cheese, and seafood, which would be great if you were a local, but we were just visiting. There are a few stalls selling things like candies/honey/jams, that were reasonably priced, so we bought a few of those to bring home as souvenirs. We spent probably about half an hour walking around and made it through the entire market. It was fun to walk around and see all the local goods/products, but don't expect a lot of options for good food if you're hungry.
