We stayed in downtown Phoenix on Saturday night and decided to have lunch at Huss before leaving town on Sunday. The deciding factor - they had a Caesar salad which my daughter was craving didn't the night before. When we arrived, our order was taken promptly and the first beer came out quickly. Great beer, Black IPA called Gothic Gecko. My daughter ordered the Lemon Caesar salad and I got the cheeseburger and added bacon. Our food arrived shortly after, my burger was missing the bacon add-on, but I didn't really want to complain because the burger was still great. My daughter loves her salad but she did not care for the croutons and didn't eat them. Burger was really good and so were the French fries. Here's where it got a little rough. We finished our food and our drinks and sat for several minutes before anyone came to check on us. A busser took my empty baskets and we didn't see our waiter for quite some time. We had empty drinks and I I wanted another beer and we sat for several minutes. When he finally came around, I ordered a second salad for my daughter but requested no croutons. I also went ahead and ordered my next 2 beers in case it would take a while again. A few minutes later, another employee who wasn't our waiter came and checked on us and was aware we ordered a second salad. Water was refilled. The second salad and the next 2 beers were brought out a few minutes later. Salad was correct without the croutons and my daughter enjoyed it. I found it odd that the 2 beers were served in plastic cups when my first one was in proper glassware and everyone else at every other table had glassware as well. In the end, the food and beer were great. Would come back solely for that, but we did have some hiccups in the service. Place was kinda busy when we arrived but had died down by the time we left. Was a little crowded but not bad. We had nearby parking at a meter on the street so it was easy to get in and out of here too. read more

This is my most favorite brewery, probably in Arizona! Wish I lived closer to downtown. I would be here every week! I LOVE & constantly crave the chicken and hummus board! This is so delicious and so simple! But the other locations do not make it the same at all so I will only go to the downtown Phoenix location and we live in North Scottsdale. Great menu options. My son usually gets the hamburger or chicken fingers which are delicious, love their french fries/curled potato fries. The sausage was delightfully zippy and cooked on the grill to perfection. The beer onions and mustard complimented the sauerkraut. I thought I took a picture of the chips and dip but I must have forgotten. I would pass on these--the chips tasted bagged and the dip seemed bland. On the beer side, I highly recommend the papago mandarin orange. The vanilla flavor comes in the finish and is delightful. Great location if you're downtown for a conference, convention, or game. What I appreciated about this brewery is that they have a variety of beverages, not just beer. It's rare for me to have two New Zealand Sauvignon Blancs to choose from at a brewery. The menu is simple but delicious. I ordered the lemon Caesar salad and I added the spicy crispy cornmeal breaded shrimp. It was a great contrast of flavors and textures and they don't skimp on the homemade croutons or cheese! The fries are a unique thin crescent shape and delightfully crispy on the outside and pillowy on the inside. The bartender was welcoming and the crowd was all ages. read more

I was really impressed with Huss Brewery downtown. I'm visiting from out of town, and the ability to sit outside in such a relaxing atmosphere was perfect. The beer was great, and the food was fantastic -- we tried a variety of flavors and every single dish was excellent. The staff were so nice and helpful, and the different platters we ordered made for a perfect sampling. Review #550! A friend and I stopped at Huss Brewing on a Wednesday prior to a Phoenix Suns game. We arrived around 4:30/4:45 and were fortunate enough to get a table. I was somewhat surprised they were honoring Happy Hour specials on a game night (32oz pitcher of beer for $9.00). I had the Bear/Italian Beef sandwich. It was fantastic (and I've eaten this in Chicago). My Scottsdale blonde beer was very tasty too. Waiter was good and just a general good vibe to the place. This is a short walk to either the Suns/Diamondbacks venues. Whether you are attending an event or just want a bite downtown, I'd highly recommend Huss Brewing. I'd return in a second! read more

Been here several times. Love sitting out on the shady patio. Even if it's hot out that's my go to first. Like the on tap beer selections. I try something new when I can. The brewery is a great location and bar had a really good placement. The bartenders and bar maids had great customer service and a lot of smiling faces which gave me/us a lot of happy faces. Food looked delicious but unfortunately I had eaten dinner prior, so I only tried out some adult juice..I was a little thirsty. But I will be back to try some food. Showed up at 4:00ish on a Monday afternoon (a time advertised everywhere as a time they'd be open) and surprise - not a soul to be found. Wasted $15 on an Uber to get there and had to spend another $10 to get to a brewery that was indeed opened as advertised. Enjoyed a visit at Huss Brewings Downtown PHX Brewpub before a concert recently. They do offer parking validation at a few lots nearby, they have it marked on some signage, which is great perk while downtown! They also have some street parking right out front if you are lucky enough. Their space is split off into a few areas, you walk right into their outdoor patio - with misters and ample shading - to enter the space, to the left they have a TO GO section for takeout, beer and what not and on the right they have a dining area. The indoor space itself is not huge, but does have ample seating and a bar area. We were at right between the door and bar area when we first arrived, which receives a ton of traffic of people leaving and arriving and there is a kiosk for the servers, so we kindly asked to be moved, which they had no problem with. My bestie and I shared the Greek Chicken Skewer Board and a small order of the sidewinder fries. I had the skewer board before and was so impressed with it, this time it was good but did not hit the mark quite as much. it's served with the obvious, chicken, grilled veggies (tomatoes, onion, zucchini), pita, hummus and tzatziki. It was still delicious and flavorful and healthier option while eating out. My friend said the sidewinder fries were amazing and she is a french fry connoisseur, so definitely saying something! THey are a unique sort of curly fry shape, really good. We wanted dessert, but they were unfortunately out of their peach cobbler at about 6:00 or so, so it was a bummer, but hopefully next time! I also got one of their summer sours, I cannot recall what it was. It was good, I like them super tart which this was not, but paired nicely with my meal! First time visiting this week, and I'm impressed! The brewery has a spacious patio, perfect for people watching. I attended a Yelp event here and discovered Huss offers top-quality IPAs, stouts, sours, and more. While brewery food often falls short, the pub fare here stands out--delicious nachos, charcuterie boards, sandwiches, hummus and sidewinder fries. The staff is friendly, attentive, and helpful. Parking is available on the street (metered) or at the Phoenix Convention Center North Garage on Monroe where the offer two hours of parking validation out of courtesy. This was the best fish tacos I have ever had! I was attending a conference and Huss Brewing is attached to the conference center. There was a 30 minute wait but it was totally worth it. Ordered sample appetizer dip with tortilla chips and potato chips and onion dip and cheese dip and salsa. It was wonderful and we could share it with three people. the fish taco was off the chart and it was flavorful. It had a nice crunch and they had pickled onions. Three tacos come with the platter. I have been to Huss Brewing Downtown twice. On my second visit, I went with a large group after our reservations elsewhere fell through. Luckily, Huss Brewing was able to accommodate all 25 of us for dinner on a Saturday. During my first visit, I enjoyed the fish tacos and pretzel and was hoping to order them again. However, due to the busy night, they had a limited event menu. I ended up ordering the Midwest fish and chips and the Koffee Kolsch, their take on the espresso martini. The fish and chips came with two big pieces of fish as well as a generous portion of fries. It was tasty and filling. The Koffee Kolsch was a pleasant surprise, as I'm not a beer drinker, but couldn't "taste" the beer in it. It taste just like a cold brew "espresso" martini I've had from other places. Everyone in the group seemed satisfied with their orders. Huss Brewing is a great choice for large groups, especially those coming from the Convention Center. They provide free two-hour validation parking at Chase Ace Garage and Phoenix Convention North Garage. read more
