I've been here a few times and always enjoyed the food. The beer is also all really good. My favorite dish is the Midwest fish and chips with the cornmeal breading. This most recent visit I also tried the southwestern chopped salad with grilled chicken and it was delicious. The crispy brussel sprouts were also one of my favorites.

We stayed in downtown Phoenix on Saturday night and decided to have lunch at Huss before leaving town on Sunday. The deciding factor - they had a Caesar salad which my daughter was craving didn't the night before. When we arrived, our order was taken promptly and the first beer came out quickly. Great beer, Black IPA called Gothic Gecko. My daughter ordered the Lemon Caesar salad and I got the cheeseburger and added bacon. Our food arrived shortly after, my burger was missing the bacon add-on, but I didn't really want to complain because the burger was still great. My daughter loves her salad but she did not care for the croutons and didn't eat them. Burger was really good and so were the French fries. Here's where it got a little rough. We finished our food and our drinks and sat for several minutes before anyone came to check on us. A busser took my empty baskets and we didn't see our waiter for quite some time. We had empty drinks and I I wanted another beer and we sat for several minutes. When he finally came around, I ordered a second salad for my daughter but requested no croutons. I also went ahead and ordered my next 2 beers in case it would take a while again. A few minutes later, another employee who wasn't our waiter came and checked on us and was aware we ordered a second salad. Water was refilled. The second salad and the next 2 beers were brought out a few minutes later. Salad was correct without the croutons and my daughter enjoyed it. I found it odd that the 2 beers were served in plastic cups when my first one was in proper glassware and everyone else at every other table had glassware as well. In the end, the food and beer were great. Would come back solely for that, but we did have some hiccups in the service. Place was kinda busy when we arrived but had died down by the time we left. Was a little crowded but not bad. We had nearby parking at a meter on the street so it was easy to get in and out of here too.

I have been here several times and this is always a solid choice if you happen to be attending something at the Phoenix Convention Center. This place is basically connected. Service has always been spot on and they get you in and out in a jiffy and food is great too! This time around I had the fish tacos and this dish was excellent. Huss Brewing is a solid option especially if you're attending a conference at the Phoenix Convention Center. Ill definitely be back again, this is a trusted, reputable, reliable spot for good food and drinks.

Stopped in for dinner at Huss Brewing Company next to Phoenix Convention Center. Ordered a double cheeseburger with fries. They have inside and outside patio dining. The cheese burger was good. The fries were excellent, kind of a cross between homemade fries and "pillow" chips. Place was packed with people attending Semicon West.

This is my most favorite brewery, probably in Arizona! Wish I lived closer to downtown. I would be here every week! I LOVE & constantly crave the chicken and hummus board! This is so delicious and so simple! But the other locations do not make it the same at all so I will only go to the downtown Phoenix location and we live in North Scottsdale. Great menu options. My son usually gets the hamburger or chicken fingers which are delicious, love their french fries/curled potato fries. My husband usually gets the Nashville, hot chicken sandwich or a burger, which are both great! Wash everything down with their locally brewed beers... Absolutely love the blueberry wheat... Delicious!

The food was great! A friend and I shared (4) chicken skewers and fries, which was plenty for the two of us. When we ordered, our waiter warned us that they were out of the grilled veggies, but we went ahead anyways. We're visiting from out of town, and enjoyed the food! They have indoor and outdoor seating and plenty of TVs; they changed the channel so we could watch our game.

The hummus board is the best thing I ate while in Phoenix for a work event. The veggies were cooked perfectly, the hummus was tasty, and the pita bread was soft. The beers were also really good! We each had a flight of four options and liked most of them. I would definitely return.

Staff was very welcoming and friendly from the start. No wait on a Sunday afternoon; downtown seemed dead for a holiday weekend. The beer brat was very good. The sausage was delightfully zippy and cooked on the grill to perfection. The beer onions and mustard complimented the sauerkraut. I thought I took a picture of the chips and dip but I must have forgotten. I would pass on these--the chips tasted bagged and the dip seemed bland. On the beer side, I highly recommend the papago mandarin orange. The vanilla flavor comes in the finish and is delightful. My second favorite was an IPA that I don't recall the name of...nice citrus accents and not an overwhelming floral taste. Highly recommend this downtown locale.

I was really impressed with Huss Brewery downtown. I'm visiting from out of town, and the ability to sit outside in such a relaxing atmosphere was perfect. The beer was great, and the food was fantastic -- we tried a variety of flavors and every single dish was excellent. The staff were so nice and helpful, and the different platters we ordered made for a perfect sampling. The warm weather was such a nice break from winter, and overall this is one of the best breweries in Phoenix that I've been to. I highly recommend it.

The food was ok, I heard the table next to us mention they found a bug in the same hummus I was eating. Burger and salad were good. Service was slow, it was a busy day and it appeared they were prepped to manage the large crowd from the Herberger. Drinks were not refilled.

Review #550! A friend and I stopped at Huss Brewing on a Wednesday prior to a Phoenix Suns game. We arrived around 4:30/4:45 and were fortunate enough to get a table. I was somewhat surprised they were honoring Happy Hour specials on a game night (32oz pitcher of beer for $9.00). I had the Bear/Italian Beef sandwich. It was fantastic (and I've eaten this in Chicago). My Scottsdale blonde beer was very tasty too. Waiter was good and just a general good vibe to the place. This is a short walk to either the Suns/Diamondbacks venues. Whether you are attending an event or just want a bite downtown, I'd highly recommend Huss Brewing. I'd return in a second!

Been here several times. Love sitting out on the shady patio. Even if it's hot out that's my go to first. Like the on tap beer selections. I try something new when I can. The tacos at lunch time are my favorite go to. Staff is usually pretty helpful and friendly. If you've never been here give it a try. I bet you'll like it!

Stopped in first thing in the morning for a flight of beer and some grub. It's connected to the convention center in downtown Phoenix and They have a dine in spot on one side and a to go spot on the other side The staff was friendly and helpful as we entered and bellied up to the bar. We ordered up two flights of beer and a smash burger with a side of sidewinder fries. Beers were good and the food was served up hot and fresh. The flavors and textures of the burger were spot on. A great stop for lunch and beers

It's a really cute little spot in downtown Phoenix with a full bar and a counter that looks put into the street with window that open in comfy weather. Neither of us really tasted the wasabi, but agreed if was a good Caesar. The pizza was sooooo good. They really pack on the pepperoni, and the crust is phenomenal. In fact, it's the reason I like the Desmond so much--that pizza crust! I was passing the guy making pizzas, and stopped to watch him tossing the crust. He was so nice and friendly and kind enough to tell me about pizza tossing. He made it look so easy and fun. What a fantastic young man! He made my visit to the Desmond even better! We each ordered a pizza but they took almost 45 minutes to arrive, my friend had a simple pepperoni while I had the truffle. The pizzas were ok but at $21 each they weren't worth the wait. When the bill was brought to our table I asked for it to be split by person since my friend an I were paying separately but the staff member split the bill in half so I ended up having to partially pay for my friend's drinks (they ordered something while we were waiting for the pizzas). It's not a big deal but the staff member was like "ok sure" and promptly ignored my request. There was also a 3% credit card surcharge so that was kind of annoying. I left a small tip but that was being generous. I wanted to go to the pub mextdoor but my friend convinced me that we should go here instead. I won't be making a return visit.

I learned about that as there is a sign with a special offer for ASU students right outside the University Center Building. I went into the Westin Hotel and found that Jacy & Dakota's was open for lunch with only a few customers. I enjoyed some good food and good service, and I'll likely be back another time soon. When I arrived, I opted to sit on my own at a table where I could space out and read over lunch. There was only one server working, and she came over to me as soon as she noticed me there. I ordered a Jacy's Burger, which came with lettuce, tomato, onion, cheddar, and a Hawaiian bun. It also came with French fries. The fries were tasty and hot, while the burger was delicious and big, though it was messy as the lettuce kept falling out of the burger. They honored an ASU 20% discount, which was great! While I stuck with a burger this time, I would love to go back to try their Jacy & Dakota Wings or even their tacos. Jacy & Dakota's is considered to be a modern American restaurant with cuisine inspired by traditional dishes and seasonally fresh ingredients. They have both indoor and outdoor seating, and their patio is dog-friendly. They offer complimentary 2 hour valet validation and free Wi-Fi. They are open for breakfast on weekdays from 6 AM to 11 AM, brunch on weekends from 7 AM to 2 PM, and then all day on weekdays from 11 AM to 10 PM and weekends from 2 PM to 10 PM. They also have a Happy Hour menu from 4-6 PM and Late Night menu from 10 PM to 11 PM daily. Their website (https://www.jacyanddakotas.com) has their menus, photo galleries, events, their story, and a place to make reservations. While the prices were a bit higher than I would have expected, I recognize it is in a hotel and the specials were appreciated and brought the price back down a bit. They also have many different specials. Beyond the ASU 20% discount, they also offer a 25% discount during Happy Hour (daily from 3-6 PM), Tuesday Beer & Bites specials, Sunday all-day happy hour, and more! I plan to come back again in the near future and would recommend it to others.

I waited about 12 minutes to be seated, even though no one was ahead of me, while two people who arrived after me were seated first. Once at my table, my server walked past me three times without acknowledgment; it took nearly 8 minutes to get water. When my food came out, I noticed my white toast had been swapped for some odd-looking wheat bread with no explanation. I only found out they didn't carry white toast by asking. No manager stopped by, and communication from the front-of-house staff was nearly nonexistent from start to finish. The one bright spot was that the food itself was genuinely good. Visit 2 (Next Day): A completely different experience. The restaurant was actually busier, yet the hostess was immediately attentive and got me seated without delay. My server, Josh, came right over, was personable, and proactively let me know they don't carry white toast, offering sourdough as an alternative without me having to ask. I also had the chance to chat with Erin, the banquet manager, who brought a warm and welcoming energy to the floor. That kind of manager presence was completely absent on day one and made a noticeable difference. Bottom line: The kitchen is solid, both visits confirmed that. But the guest experience here can vary wildly depending on who's working. When the team is on, this place shines. Here's hoping Visit 2 is the new standard.

It's hard to put into words how great this place is. Have you ever been somewhere when everything…read morejust feels "right, balanced, happy"? That is Farish House. The cozy, intimate comfort of what used to be Coup des Tartes blended seamlessly with the deep, peaceful, gentle "love" you felt from House of Tricks into one calm, warm, easy spot. Farish House is a real, soul-warming experience across the board. The service, care, comfort, ambience, food, value and clear love they put into everything make Farish House our new favorite place. We walked through the front gate, up onto the front porch and inside where we took one of three small tables in the cozy front salon of this soul-warming 1899 French Bistro. *Food: we started with a bottle of Australian Cab. Shockingly good. And not crazy expensive, especially on Thursday when bottles are 30% off, it was an amazing deal. Turns out, the owner, Greg, was in the wine distribution business for several decades, curating wine programs for top Valley restaurants, so he really knows his stuff and their vast wine selection is amazing. We were offered a basket of truffle popcorn, mmm, salty, crunchy, and rich. We ordered the Chef's Selection Charcuterie and Warm Noble Baguette & Marinated Olives to get started. Both were beautifully curated, balanced, and incredibly high quality. The flavors and textures blended perfectly. with cheeses broken from large wheels, rather than cut and sliced, house-made pickled grapes, unique and unusual ingredients, smokey meats, compound butters, just awesome! We then moved into one of the cozy dining rooms and ordered the slow roasted Peposo Short Ribs and fingerling potatoes pan fried in duck fat served with Moroccan spiced aioli. Both were rich, warm and delicious. For dessert, and yes we thought we'd explode from all this food, we ordered a massive slice of bread pudding, some of the best I've ever had, rich, gooey and incredible. Along with that we ordered a beautiful Espresso Martini and an off-menu banana cream martini. Their drinks are not "poured" or mixed here, they're balanced and expertly crafted. This is French Bistro comfort food at its finest and it's unmistakeable. *Service: it just doesn't get better. Everyone working there is "family". And that's how they make you feel; like family, cared for, wanted, welcomed. Service isn't a choreographed masterpiece, no tuxedos, cloths draped over arms, napkins frantically re-folded when you step away, dishes served and cleared in unison. No, it's relaxed, warm, friendly, kind, like being at your grandmothers house and knowing you're surrounded by people who care. Met Greg and Katherine, the owners, and their daughter Alexandra and several other "family" members taking care of us. Their appreciation for your presence is unmistakable. *Ambience: it's just plain comfy, cozy, easy, relaxed, warm, deep, gentle, worn (in a good way), wise, and calm, that's the best I can describe it. Hard wood floors, cozy rooms, soft, warm lighting. It's a non-pretentious, French bistro that feels like the home of a favorite grandma or great aunt living in a warm family cottage in the outskirts of Paris. *Value: it's perfect. It's not ridiculously expensive like Kai, Brinkley's, Cafe Monarch, Christopher's, or French Laundry where you go, "okay, that was fun but we'll only do this very occasionally/rarely and it's probably worth it, but dang that was pricey!" No, Farish House is 100% value to experience, not cheap, but not overpriced, the balance is just right. It's a place you can go often, and we will. Yes, our meal with apps, drinks and dessert, some on happy hour and the Thursday wine special, was around $200. I'd happily say this experience was worth every penny. *Overall: I can't recommend Farish House highly enough. Parking is on the street or in a nearby lot, and that's a downtown thing. There's a small lot in back. The food, ambience, service, quality, and experience were stellar. I wish I could rate them 6 stars instead of just 5. I'll return often and highly recommend Farish House to everyone. I genuinely hope you enjoy as much as we did!
