Dr. Luke and staff are wonderful people. Very caring and knowledgeable. Prices are reasonable. Would recommend them to anyone!

I've been going here for 5 years with my pets and have always recommended them to everyone I…read moreknow.not after this week though. Dr Shawn n. McKim was completely disrespectful to me and my 2 puppies w parvo. I took them in and paid 300 of the 600 to have them admitted to the hospital for parvo. for what I was told would be 3-7 days. 12 hrs after I dropped them off I was called and told they were fine and to come get them. I was told by mr. McKim they were ready to go home already and they would not need medication. I did tell him if they still needed medicated I wanted them to stay hospitalized. he informed me all they needed now was anti nausea meds and soft food. so that's what I was given when I left. the following day I called back to let them know the puppies were not doing good at all! the doctor Ashley I had dropped them off with called me back and said have they been getting their meds at home? we told her that dr mckim did not send anything home. dr Ashley said we needed to go asap in the morning when they open and get the box of meds for them she had ready for them to take home. when I called to get them in the morning dr mckim first off told me he would just exam my puppies and give them more food. that they didn't need the meds ( that I paid for mind u) at this point my puppies are lethargic and Barely moving or breathing. I told him I want the meds that were supposed to be given to my puppies. he threatened me to drop me as a patient and to not give me the medicine for my sick puppies even tho he got $600 from me and sent my puppies home in less than 24 hrs when they was supposed to b there 3-7 days. so I went to the vet to speak face to face to dr mckim. he yet again was completely disrespectful to me and had not one ounce of care in his body for the well being of my puppies. he told me to my face that there was a emergency surgery and the 2 puppies both came at the same time and he chose the surgery and dr Ashley chose the pups. but since she chose them and was off work the next day he didn't want to deal with my puppies that are dr Ashley's responsibility..... then he goes on to tell me that she only works there one day a week and what she says dont matter. so after arguing with this "man" he finally gave me a portion of the meds I was supposed to be given. I will never in my life go to this vet again. I will drive the extra half an hr to the next closest one to me. and it it all due to dr. mckim and his disregard for the lives of my puppies and the amount of disrespect he gave me. needless to say I had to take them another vet and pay another $600 to have them hospitalized and they are still fighting for their life's. so if u want to go to a vet that doesn't care if your animal lives or dies then dr mckim is your guy.

He gave her medication to take twice a day and instructed me to do it for 30 days and also isolate her when I tell you in two or three days I've seen it come around when she was scooting but now she's actually standing up walking on her feet all four doing very well. I was kind of scared because I was thinking I would have to go to a neurologist or something of that sort but the doctor here in McCon really reassured me that things would be OK for provide me the necessary medication that I needed I can't wait till I go to my follow up visit to let him know how thankful Michelle and I are.

I'll spare you the gory details but she was drowning in her own blood and clearly going to die. I took her to this animal medical center in Macomb. I walked in with a bloody, quivering heap of a kitten, I myself covered in her blood and feces. The three women at the desk could hardly be bothered to stop talking to each other. I said I needed help and got blank stares with gaping mouths. I was surprised they didn't seem to notice the kitten. They asked what I wanted and I said she was hit by a car and I found her in the street. Their immediate concern was to tell me that it costs money for treatment. I clarified that I wanted to pay to have this kitten put to sleep. So they said there's no vet, we cant help you. I was dumbfounded at their coldness. At this point one of the three returned from walking away and she too was talking about who was going to pay. This is after they said there's no vet and they can't help. I did not expect this level of indifference from people who care for animals and I could hardly think. I accidentally voiced my internal monologue out of distress. It was not aggressive or meant to be. I felt the professionals should have diffused the situation but they were only too eager to inflame it. When the second woman was talking about payment I said you only care about f***** money - out of pure shock. At this point all three women activated and were on their feet close to the desk aggressively facing me. Instead of addressing the dying kitten they said you can't talk to us that way, go to the other vet. They turned this bloody, quivering, pathetic kitten away because I had accidentally said the f-word. They were very energetic in telling me off and inviting me to leave, with absolutely zero concern for the clearly suffering animal in my arms. So I left and went to All Pets nearby and re-explained the situation. I was willing to spend my grocery money to pay for the kitten to be put to sleep. the staff at All Pets was amazing and compassionate. the vet euthanized the kitten under some kind of shelter program free of charge for me. It was a no good very bad day but I'm happy the kitten didn't lie on the hot pavement any longer and she didn't die alone. I even named her beforehand so that she wouldn't die nameless, but known and loved. All Pets did a lot to restore my faith in humanity. The experience at the animal medical center was a shameful display of human psychology at its worst. In my humble opinion.
