I've been here multiple times and did not like it. This trip was no different. We had a large group of 16 and it started there. Was told a 2hr wait. If we split in to groups of 8 we'd be seated in 45. Took this option. Actually got seated in about 25 minutes seperately. (A table of 8 that was right next to us was vacant and NEVER got used for the entire 90 minutes or so that we stayed at the restaurant so why not accommodate our group? - strike one) Our waitress I'm told was very chippy with an attitude toward some party members. (I didnt get any attitude toward me) but heard a few people stating how she was answering people's requests and how unpleasant she was. - Strike two. The food. I ordered the meatloaf nachos (which were good). I also ordered the fried pork chops w/ side salad. Loading up on fake bacon bits (like 1000 pieces) doesnt make the salad better. This is a hint to their kitchen. The pork chops were dry and the "red skinned" mash potatoes" (which I do not remember the menu stating that they were red skinned potatoes which would mean SKIN would be present in the mash. Otherwise I would not have ordered this. ALSO, their baked beans.......this was the worst part of the meal. I am expecting some version of beans with a bbq base or similar...instead I got some sort of bean SOUP which was totally inedible in my opinion. Whole meal was trash. Strike three. My 83 year old father said at the end of the meal "worst meal I've ever had". Which I had him repeat to the table just in case anyone thought it was just me. $700 with tip for the quality is a bit much. I will never ever return no matter what my siblings say.

Eat here! Folks,…read morethis is a decent family place with delicious and unique offerings from both Germany and Italy. Regrettably, I've only been twice and both times, my entire party went for the German so we'll limit the scope of our review to that. It should be noted, however, that some New Englanders I know were very happy with their pizza from here. Ok, onto the review: 1) Food: it's all great. They start you off with some garlic bread which is obviously homemade dough. It's great. We ordered the Curry Brats starter which is a quality german style sausage that has been nicely browned. It's served with a unique curry mustard which balances the dish perfectly with some acidity and spice. As for mains, I tried pieces of the Sauerbraten, the Jaeger Schnitzel, and I ordered the Rahm Schnitzel for myself. It was all delicious and my party (normally lighter eaters) cleaned their plates. The only questionable trend with the mains is that most things come out very lightly salted. To me, that's actually a good thing so you can salt to your liking or enjoy the dishes without feeling all salted up. For sides, I've had the Spätzle (a german style pasta browned in butter) and the rotkohl (red cabbage). Both are exactly what I hope for at a German restaurant. Delicious. The side salads were fresh. 2) Service: everyone is nice and expedient. I doubt they'll hesitate to fill any request you make. The owner even wandered out to the patio to see what we thought. You can tell they really care about their customers. 3) Ambiance: the joint really reminds me of a small neighborhood restaurant you would see in a town in Southern Germany. It's decent ambiance. The only thing that could be a bit better here is price but this is not a good economy we're in here. You'll probably pay around $15 a head but you will leave full and possibly even with leftovers (assuming you eat like a normal person not a pro bodybuilder). Okay, that's my review. Sorry for forgetting photos. I feel like a teenage girl taking food pics.

First time in my 37 years of life I have ever heard of this!! Membership for a bar that doesn't have a full variety of drinks, I counted 9 people total in the bar and your gonna charge me to drink there???? I left immediately!!! Even though, I only came to get a few shots, the Bartenders were all drunk and they had people behind the counter that were singing karaoke!! Afterwards I just left and got a couple of Bottles from the Affes/ shoppette on base! They are open 24hours serving liquor!! Asked about membership and were told it would 48 hours to be reviewed. We applied anyway and left. Second time, owner was there and apologized for what happened, said that was incorrect. Gave us free memberships with cards right on the spot. Third time, a bartender kept overcharging us for cans of soda. Went up on price twice during the night. Fouth time, I saw they were having karaoke and wanted to take a friend who was in from out of town. Staff that night was extremely rude. Said we could not stay because my friend was not a member, even if we did not drink alcohol. I asked if he could fill out an application and she said no. Fifth time, we went because a friend was running the karaoke for another friend's birthday and he told us we would have no problems. Owner was there and apologized again after I talked to him about experiences. Got a membership for my fiance same night no issue, stayed, and ordered beer for him. The inconsistency is a problem for me because it makes it come off as shady. Overall, it is usually dead with only a couple of regulars. There are a couple of pool tables with no wait because it is usually empty. That is a nice bonus if you just want to go play pool.
