They had to eventually call the tire store next door who recommended they remove the tire and bring it over for a new valve stem. Apparently, the valve stem had been corroded--which is reasonable since there are over 200k on my Tundra. I wasn't happy having to sit there for almost two hours while they struggled to fix the tire, brought it next door, put it back on the truck and finally got me on my way. This was supposed to be a quick oil change during my lunch hour. So, I wasn't happy with the situation but the two guys working there were very professional about the service. It wasn't their fault that the valve stem was corroded and broke. In the end, they didn't even charge me for the repair or the new stem and, in fact, they gave me a 15% DISCOUNT because the whole affair had taken so long!!! THIS IS WHAT GOOD SERVICE LOOKS LIKE. I don't write reviews often but it is so rare to get good service now-a-days that I feel obligated in this case. Great job guys! A guy from the shop asked me did you just have your transmission fluid changed? I replied no. He said it was the cleanest he had ever seen. That's because there was none in it. My transmission went out. My mechanic said no fluid wrecked it. I contacted Scott the owner he blamed my van? So I leased a truck and went to a koo. My customer asked where's your van I told him what happened. He said I brought my truck there they didn't put oil in it and my motor went out. Snappy Lube had to replace it. So I thought I would take them to court. Then I read someone else did and Scott got on a payment plan? That customer said it took forever to get paid back. All said Scott cost me $2,500 to bring it to Snappy Lube for an oil change. Don't be fooled on his website as well look for lowest ratings he has a lot of them folks.
