What really stood out to me was how the team helped problem solve throughout the reception. At one point, our music playing device malfunctioned, and Ebben swooped in ready with spare cords and helpful words. We had underestimated the amount of time we would have to dance, but it was no problem - Ebben came in clutch with bar suggestions at the last minute. This guy is the gold standard for customer satisfaction, and was so easy to work with. I feel like in a different life he could have had a successful career as a hostage negotiator. The rest of his team was fantastic - we loved the bartenders and they had excellent communication with Ebben throughout the entire reception. I don't plan on getting married again LOL, but if I did, I would absolutely pick Arlington's every time. Terrible Customer Service. Lack of commutation. Do not hire this company for your wedding…read more My husband and I hired Party Creations for our wedding that was suppose to be on June 18th, 2016. We had something come up and we needed to change our date to April 23, 2016. In the beginning the woman we worked with was great and very responsive. We had a big order with them and when we spoke with her and the crew there they were very excited for our event. Everything was great, we paid our down payment and then we didn't hear from them again. .. and then the date change happened. We paid a decent amount on the down payment and we felt bad that we had to change our date BUT life happens. When I spoke with the woman we were working with she seemed alright about it on the phone and I was actually very excited because now we had more money to work with for decorations. Although, when we went into the office and sat down with her and told her all the changes and how we planned to use all of the money we already spent on other things, she immediately told us that they were going to keep a large amount of our downpayment because of our "cancellation." We gave her more than 90 days notice. After a few moments of frustration she finally agreed to work with us. I could barely speak to her, all of my ideas had gone out the door and basically left her the basics. It took her almost 3 to get back to us with a new quote. I would call her at least once a week and she would respond to my question of where she was at with adding 5 strings of lights and a pipe and drape background with "Ummmmmmm.... Ummmmm... I am still working on it. Can I call you tomorrow?" then she would not call. When she finally got our quote back to us I was furious. We had originally ordered 10 string of lights at $18 a piece ($180 all together) and the new quote only had 5 more and the price went to $500!! RIDICULOUS! Her explanation for this was that one of her "guys" was 7ft tall and he could do the perimeter with out using a latter. There were many other things I had issues with when it came to the quote but I wanted to be done with dealing with her. The week of the wedding was a whole separate issue. When I called this woman the Monday before to ask what time they would be arriving at Piper Glen, she answered "Ummmmm... I am not sure. I don't know the schedule." IT WAS THE WEEK OF THE WEDDING! And then she told me she would call me back "Later" and when I asked what time that would be she responded " later today" .... ok thank you. Again, I received no phone call and had to call her back on Tuesday. SHE WAS HORRIBLE! I am not the only one who feels this way. I have spoken with three other brides who have had this same type of experience. The sales woman has terrible customer service and is very very bad at communicating with her customers. She is very rude and does not care that this is YOUR special day. NOW, the crew that came to set up for our event did a GREAT job! They were so nice and everything looked perfect! We had some of our lanterns fall down Thursday night and when I called to see if they could come back out they were there within the hour! I was very pleased with their work and if I could have just worked with them instead of sales woman I think that I would have had a way better experience.

Some swift action on the part of the office resulted in the guys bringing two more pieces by the day's end which allowed the team to decorate as planned. Everyone was courteous during these arrangements and demonstrated true professionalism that will have me coming back to Party Creations for many other events.

Both the bride and groom were from Springfield, IL and had family and friends from the area but had quite a few of us driving from out of town (we decided to make the three hour drive from Chicago). As an out of town guest, it was one of the most seamless wedding events we've attended with everything in the same space. The groom was Indian while the bride was Caucasian and they managed to have an Indian ceremony first followed by the traditional Christian ceremony in the same space both which were well done. The mandap with the fire for the Indian ceremony perfectly doubled for the Christian ceremony. Although we hadn't brought our three year old with it was nice that they had a playground close by so the perfect spot to entertain little ones. The weather was nice so during cocktail hour on the terrace it was nice to be able to walk around the pond they have behind while waiting for the reception to begin. The staff perfectly transformed both the room we were in for the ceremonies as well as the neighboring room into a great banquet hall for the 250-300 guests that attended. It was a wonderful spot to have a wedding and most guests like myself left the day having a wonderful time! A perfect, auspicious way for the sweet bride and groom to be beginning their married life together.

Janella is everything I could ask for in a planner. She was so pleasant and easy to work with. Starting with my vision of his services, she was a strong communicator with a great sense of how to work with people going through a wide range of emotions as we do during funerals (and weddings). She listened carefully and kept all arrangements and details on point and moving forward on a tight timeline of three weeks. She brought strong assessment skills and ideas, problem solving, did a great job working with vendors to keep them on task, multi-tasked throughout, worked diplomatically with family, was flexible and resourceful, effectively negotiated with vendors, and more than anything, I felt her genuine desire and reassurance that we would create the best event I could for my fiancé. The result was the most beautiful, personal funeral mass and Tribute Celebration that I could have hoped for and that was worthy of the incredible man that my fiancé was. I have no doubt that our wedding would have been as beautiful of a celebration, and I'm so deeply grateful to Janella for all that she did to help me honor this man that I loved so much.
