We stayed at this Hyatt Regency for 3 nights at the end of our trip to Australia. There were some positives & negatives:
Positives: Good sized 450 sf suite w/ separate living area; Nice staff. Mgr gave us two drink coupons when we checked in; Great location within walking distance of a mall and plenty of eateries in CBD;
Negatives: No Exec Lounge; I should have been upgraded to the next level of suite based on my status. The room did not appear to be an upgrade; Spotty wifi; Weird entrance on Burnett that is basically an alley; We were given a room right next to elevator. Odd hotel for a Regency. This hotel seemed more like a boutique Hyatt brand, bc it did not have a lounge, and the property is small. I am used to big resorts for Regency properties like Kā'anapali, Waikīkī, Huntington Beach, Irvine, Newport Beach, Manila and Milwaukee; Small pool & gym; No jacuzzi; Tiny elevators that can only fit 4 peeps comfortably;
The stay was better vs the Hilton in Sydney, and the IC in Melbourne. However, I would not stay here again bc the property is too small to be a Regency IMHO. read more
