These guys are awesome!! I needed to get the lens replaced on my glasses. Of all the places on the east side, these guys had the best prices and reviews. Emmanuel and the staff were so genuine, caring, and the price he quoted to me on the phone 2 weeks prior was the same from another associate when I walked in. Got my glasses back in 2 days and they looked great, and only paid $35 total after using the $50 for $30 deal they had. An overall awesome experience . . . these guys rock!! read more

I needed some glasses but I don't like modern frames, so I went on ebay and found some cool round antique frames. Took them to an Optometrist who shall remain nameless - very thorough eye exam, all the bells & whistles, but when it comes to making lenses they wanted $600 for bifocals with anti-glare treatment. I went to Yelp and found Hye Optic and they quoted me $110 for the same lenses. This is now my go-to shop for anything optical. Very friendly, good service and an unbeatable price. read more

One of the best services I've ever been provided! Went in to add prescriptions to my sunglasses however after speaking with Natalie, she was able to get me fixed up with a new pair of regular glasses to replace my old broken pair. She went through a lot of effort to help find my pair and even tried to get everything done on the same day! I only wish I took my wifes advice and chose the brown frames instead of the blue ones because she absolutely hates them on me and told me to go get them back(my fault haha). Love this place! I've been wearing my new glasses for almost a month now - I feel so cute and sexy in them and people are ALWAYS complimenting me on them. The staff is great - the gal who helped me was very patient with me while I tried on TONS of different frames. She suggested a few different frames for me without being pushy and I ended up buying a pair she recommended that were not like anything I would have picked for myself, and I looove them! On top of that - their prices are the cheapest I've ever seen for frames & lenses and they have a pretty quick turnaround. My glasses were available just a couple days after I ordered them. Another bonus is that selection is always changing, when I went in to pick up my glasses they already had tons of new frames on display. WARNINGS: 1. This is a tiny little family run shop, nothing fancy at all - be prepared to wait a while if it's busy, and there may be a screaming child in the back... 2. You might get hooked! This place can be addicting - the frames are so cool and the prices are so low that you might find yourself becoming a collector! The gal who referred me to this places has already purchased 4 pair in less than a year and is already planning on going back for more; and I'm considering heading back for my 3rd pair . . . in just two months!! read more

What can I say that hasn't already been said? I brought in four frames for prescription lenses. Not only was everyone friendly, but they also helped me match colored lenses to each frame. As soon as I walked in I noticed it was a little small, but I was greeted immediately and asked if I needed any assistance. They help you stay in your price range and are so super helpful. This place is awesome, especially if you don't have vision insurance. I went to target and almost payed a little over 260 for glasses and lenses without spexial coating. I payed 145 for the glasses and special uv/anti glare. Also target my lenses were suppose to come in, in a week and a half Hye optic they are coming in 2 days because I have 2 different prescriptions. Love,love, love this place! read more

Hey, if you're in a pinch and need to replace your frames in a flash, then run, don't walk to Hye Optic. My son's frames broke and he needed to get them replaced asap, so I looked up opticians on yelp, and based on the stellar reviews we headed on over to Hye. Before we went I bought the yelp deal, and hoped that he could find some acceptable frames within that budget. No problem! He found a cool pair for even less than the deal, they popped his lenses in, and gave us a credit for the difference! The frames look better than his old ones, and when he needs to get new lenses, hel can apply his credit to those! Can't ask for more than that. Emanuel will tell you very honestly if the frames look great or terrible on you. He has a great eye and knows what's in style at the moment. Hye Optic rules! After reading all of the other stellar Yelp reviews, it almost seemed too good to be true. My boyfriend and I went to the Glendale location first, and he got a pair of plastic frames with a custom tint for under $80. We then went to the Hollywood location and I got a pair of Dolce & Gabbana crystals and a pair of black wayfarers for less than $200 with a prescription and the Yelp discount. Everyone was extremely knowledgeable and helpful, and no one tried to upsell. I would recommend this place for prescription and non prescription glasses, or for sunglasses. Lots of selection from low to high end to vintage. I know I will be back! read more

Came in last weekend to look for a new pair of dorky glasses bcus I accidentally sat on mine and broke the frame. People were very nice, and very willing to assist. They were helpful in trying to find a frame that would fit my old lenses, so that I could just pop them right in. After trying on countless selections, I ended up purchasing a pair of oversized brown frames for only $45 even though they were originally $75 (BUY THE COUPON!). If you need to order lenses too, they arrive super fast, in around 1-2 days (!!) and they're around $50 depending on your prescription. They also do prescription sunglasses. So overall, I was ecstatic to discover this hidden gem (the parking lot and the plaza itself were pretty damn sketchy..). But the awesome service, speed, price, and large selection makes it a trip well worth it. Will definitely come back next time. read more
