My Dog died of starvation under her care. His name was Gordo, hairless Chinese crested puppy, left on 08/31/2018 in perfect health (see vet's health certificate) at the age of 6 months weighting 12.7lbs. for show training. 3 months later, the pup "is found" dead weighting a barely 9.5lbs. An autopsy was performed to determine cause of death. Body was taken to Cassandra's/Kathy's ver of choice and it's conclusive that the puppy was starved, malnourished and possibly neglected (debris were found in his stomach as well as hook worms). Hystopathology report shows there's no evidence of genetic problems that may have caused starvation nor any viral load. The puppy was a healthy dog. All documents attached here. Cassandra never informed me of any issue with puppy, and only contacted me when he was already dead. Cassandra has agreed to pay reinstitution for Gordo and return a second dog of mine under her care. But she has not made a single payment, nor returned my dog or contacted me since then. read more

Specialties

Here at HyKrest Kennels not only we board dogs but we also do grooming and training. We recommend when you drop off let us know if you would like your dog to get just a bath or if your dog needs a haircut before pick up. Everything is included with the grooming - bath, toenails, ear cleaning, haircut if needed and brushing. I do offer dog training if you would like more information about training feel free to ask me. I can teach dog training either in a group or 1 on 1 with just the owner and the dog, training is done at grooming shop for 6 weeks but if I think your dog needs extra more training I will push it to 8 weeks.

History

Established in 2010.

The name HyKrest started with my first Australian Shepherd in 2010 and now it has become familiar in AKC with my Australian Shepherds/Chinese Cresteds and ASCA shows. I started my boarding in the year of 2014 here in my own home on 10 acres located here in Battle Mountain. HyKrest Kennels is on Facebook, Instagram and Snapchat feel free to follow us I do a lot of postings of the owners dogs on Facebook along with a live video. I’ve been boarding for 2 years going onto 3 and also I’m a professional dog groomer here in Battle Mountain, Nevada my boarding is done in my own home on 10 acres.
