Came to wash some clothes at night and washer #13 broke down. I left a note and I have not heard back from the owner. I came early the next day and the maintenance guy told me he let the owner know and that he would be here by 8-9am. It is now 9:50 and no owner in sight. This has delayed me leaving town and I can see from the window that it's starting to ruin my clothes. It's so filthy here. Everything has a film of dust on it and there's so much garbage everywhere. The machines look beat up and worn and liked they've never been cleaned. Most machines smell of mildew. The whole gimmick here is that the machines are eco friendly but that about the only good thing here. read more

I have had the toughest experience here tonight., from start to finish! I've spent $14 already and I'm barely even started with my laundry still! First, after finally wrestling my rather large amount of unclean clothes into the building and getting all my detergent and fabric softeners in, I finally go to make some change, when I notice that BOTH of the change machines are "out of order" and they refuse to take any of my money to make change, so I can't even begin my clothes!? I about to leave when I realize that the machines take debit cards "Eureka" I'm saved!! NO!! I go to put some clothes in the dryer and I attempt to start it! But I can't believe it actually says "declined" to me!? So I attempt to check my balance and discover it's not only charged me the quarter I've authorized or to, but it's charged me every penny in my account!? What the heck is going on? It's Wednesday November 9th 2022 and I just took my laundry in and put my $4.75 in quarters on top of the machine but couldn't carry my soap so I went out to my car to get the soap and then I went to go back inside the building where my money and laundry are and now the door is locked and I can't re-enter and my laundry is in the machine waiting to be washed and my money is on top of the dryer and it's only 10:57pm....there is no phone number or email and no way to contact anyone at this location to get my laundry out of the building and my money back from inside this facility and it's only 11pm!!!!!! I was thrilled to find an Eco Laundry on the west side. I was sad to find out that it was different owner than the Eco Laundry in SE. This laundromat was gross.... the machines where filthy and some of them smelled musty. None of the dryers worked and I had to keep switching my clothes into different dryers. At one point the rubber gasket fell off the door and I had to fix the dryer myself. The change machine wasn't working, there was no soaps in the dispenser and let's not even talk about the bathroom or the floors. The best part was the dude who was sitting on the folding table with his dirty shoes on the counter! I borrowed bleach from another customer so that I could clean off the folding table before using it. My standards are not very high for laundromats but they should at least be somewhat clean and functional... especially for the amount of money and time that I spent there. read more

OOoopppssss... My bad... I confused this coin-op with another or I must have thought this place could not be too bad, despite the poor reviews. After all, I just wanted to wash a comforter near a restaurant we could go to while waiting. Wrong! This place will gladly take your money despite the owner NOT caring whether you receive the services or not. It was my mistake to think that with all the informative signage, that this place posted, about having the BEST machines and lengthy, albeit, conflicting operating instructions, that I could get my mission of cleaning a comforter accomplished -- foolish thinking. And when we ran into the situation of a machine malfunctioning, I expected that someone in the back would come out and solve the problem. I assumed too much. Those businesses are elsewhere. Foolish me for being an optimist and thinking a company with Eco in the name was honorable. So, I give this place a one-star, which s/b a 1/2 star since the lights were on and there was plumbing. Some of the machines work, too. Here's why: We figured out that the unpriced soap was 75 cents/box. We dumped it in the dispenser, placed our comforter inside the machine, and began plugging quarters into the machine. However, after a few false starts and then $2.00 worth of quarters, we realized that the machine was the owner's private bank. So there we were with a quarter sucking, retirement investment, touted to be the BEST, non-functional washing machine. I went to the door for assistance, a neighborly gesture, to get help. No one answered, and no phone number available. Only an email was listed on the note tacked to the door. This guy has taken the corporate "manufactured inconvenience" business model too seriously. He is just a two-bit, coin-op laundry owner. So, as we tried to identify a working machine, I emailed the company. I stated that our machine was not working and that I wanted his/the owner's presence. And BTW, he/they owed us $2.75; a simple, clear assessment of the situation. His response was not a call, but a request for an explanation, which I had already given. An email exchange is not what I consider to be customer-oriented business practice. Requiring a lengthy typed explanation, via cell phone, is not an efficient use of a customer's time, and just plain inconveniencing -- my fault for initially giving the place the benefit of the doubt. BTW- there are cameras everywhere. The guy even asks me if I am the party in the corner. We won't go there. He knows who is in the shop. Creepy. I also point at the camera while I am taking photos of the broken machine, which I soon send to him. I also send him my phone number asking him to call. He blocks his. I make a good-faith gesture; he acts cowardly, IMHO, hiding behind an email address. Long and the short, he is afraid to show up at his own business to engage with customers. Why is he even in a retail operation? Oh, that's right.... he wants your money and is hoping that you will just go away because after all, it is only $2.75. read more

I've used this laundromat three times, recently, while repairs are underway in my home. Years ago, I thought it was excellent. But recently, while I was present, a family was washing clothes and the washing machine they were using could not be opened at the end of the wash cycle. Their clothes were stuck in the washer for many hours, even though a kind bystander sent a text to the owner when the malfunction occurred. Within about 30 minutes, the owner replied with an instruction, but when the steps were followed, the washing machine door still could not be opened. Many people witnessed this. The family was greatly inconvenienced. There was no further response from the owner while I was there. The family's clothes remained in the washer for a very long time. I hope the clothes were eventually retrieved without being ruined. I need to use that facility, but I'm concerned that the same thing may happen to me. The owner should hire a nearby merchant to be on standby to assist customers, in person, with malfunctioning washing machines, and should ensure the machines are reliable and that the bill-to-coin-changer is well stocked. The vending machine ran out of fabric softener sheets for the dryers and I was mistakenly sold a small box of detergent. I bought a box of those sheets at Safeway and left some for other laundromat customers. I also share the viewpoint that the behavior of patrons outside the nearby Bar causes laundromat customers to feel less safe doing laundry at night. read more

Never in my life did I think I would leave a review for a laundry mat - HOWEVER! This place is really cool. Our washer died and, while we were waiting for our landlord to replace it, we had to use a local laundry mat. Keep in mind this place may or may not be more expensive than other places (I really don't know what is normal, is just seemed higher that what I expected), but the washer are large, fast, quiet, and high quality. My biggest fear of using a laundry mat washer was that it was going to ruin my clothes or something. This was not the case - 5 stars, for sure! Also, the place is clean, smells good, and it laid out to where it doesn't get cramped or crowded. Awesome work - seriously, I never thought I could feel so strongly about a laundry mat. Nice place to do your laundry. Like another reviewer mentioned the bathroom could use some work but the washers and dryers were nice with an option to text you when they are done. Big giant machines that seem to work very efficiently (Especially the dryers!) washers are smaller/ more expensive. They will text you when your wash is done, but they only take cash...I'm surprised that they don't take credit or at least have an atm...so I usually have to go to Safeway to get cash for their quarter machine. Laundromats are generally a dime a dozen, but this place has awesome machines. I had a comforter and some huge blankets to wash that won't fit into the machine at home. I ended up there on a Friday night and there were plenty of machines open. Even though they were pricey (about $16.00 to wash & dry 2 loads), they worked quickly. 45 minutes for a thorough wash and about 30 minutes to really dry. This has been my laundromat of choice since it opened, but then I never had a problem before. Thing is, last Wednesday I took a dog bed in to wash in one of the giant machines, paid the $8.75 for heavy soil, put in the soap and white vinegar to kill odors, got the machine started and noted it would take 51 minutes to wash. So I went home to take care of other chores. When I returned, there was an error message on the machine's display saying "001 No Water". So I pushed the display control button, the message cleared, and the machine started up... but, I could see there was still no water. There was also no way to stop the machine or get the door open, as it was locked. I noticed a man walking through the laundromat peering into machines and looking in corners, so I asked him if he worked there. He said no, that he had forgotten a load of laundry and was just checking to see if there was a lost-n-found box somewhere. He too was disappointed that there was no number to call for help. There has never been anyone manning this laundromat, so I looked for a telephone number and found none. No email address either. I had to go back home and look up their website online so I could send them an email asking for help. It is now Sunday and I still have NOT heard back from anyone! And, my dog bed remains LOCKED inside the large machine. My best advice now... BEWARE... USE AT OWN RISK... NO ATTENDANT ON DUTY! read more

Our washer quit a week before Christmas so I went to a laundromat for the first time in several years today. This place was close to our house and had good reviews so I tried it. My experience started with buying soap from the dispenser putting it in a machine with my load of clothes and shoving quarters into the slot. It appeared the machine was broken because after losing $5+ it did not work. Same problem with second machine eating my quarters and then spitting part of them back. I moved to a different machine further away again to no avail so I searched for a number to call for help and there was none. There was an email address to contact so I tried that but later found I mistakenly used the wrong address. While waiting for a response and thinking if the scathing review I was going to write the owner walked in. He immediately recognized my problem and started my machine at no cost and refunded in cash the money I had lost in other machines. He also gave me and other customers in the laundromat free soap. Not only am I obviously impressed with the owners attitude but also the cleanliness and quality of this place. read more
