**********BEWARE*******BEWARE*******BEWARE*******BEWARE****…read more *****STAY AWAY FROM THE COLLIERVILLE, TENNESSEE OFFICE******* I would just like to take a moment a warn everyone to stay away from the H & R Block office in Collierville, Tennessee. The "Tax Professional" (And I use that term loosely), was anything but experienced and efficient. I usually file my return myself but I went there for one purpose and that was the "Refund Cash Advance" option. Before I left that office, the "Tax Professional" was crying because she thought that she had sent my entire refund to someone else's checking account and the "Refund Cash Advance" option that I went there for, was never applied for. The "Tax Pro" told me it was but it was not. They did eventually figure out that my refund is going into MY checking account but, now for over a week, I have been trying to get the problem with the "Refund Cash Advance" card straightened out, only to deal with the manager in the office not knowing how to fix it and eventually becoming VERY unprofessional with me over the mistake that her office caused, even though I have not at any point during this nightmare been ugly to her. After countless hours on the phone with H & R Block and the manager of the Collierville, Tennessee office, I have been told that it's just tough luck for me, they can not fix the mistake they made and refuse to refund me the over $270 that I had to pay them to cause this error because I could have filed exactly what they did from my home for free. I do that EVERY year!! I can not express enough the disappointment I have had with this situation. My sole purpose for going into that office was the "Refund Cash Advance" option and they screwed that up. You would think that with all of the trouble this has caused and the wasted time (Countless calls to local office, multiple trips to that office and hours on the phone with the 1-800 number being put on hold and actually hung up on twice by reps, Mike and Esmerelda), I have spent trying to get this resolved, they would offer to refund my fees but NO! I AM FILING A COMPLAINT WITH THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU AND I WOULD ENCOURAGE ANYONE THAT READS THIS TO STAY AWAY FROM H & R BLOCK!!! THEY DEFINITELY DO NOT STAND BEHIND WHAT THEY SAY! I am beyond disgusted and disappointed in the employee that handled my filing, the office manager and H&R BLOCK entirely and I intend to let every person that will listen know exactly what happened and how it was handled. Actually, I have already started.
