Teatime can be spent in many ways and I must say I do enjoy being surrounded by pin-up art and sitting in rococo chairs as the room is being infused with ground coffee flavour. While mainly serving as a cafe, there is a decent section of "stuff" to admire while you wait for your order. All for sale of course- whether you fancy a 50's inspired magnet saying "Coffee" You can sleep when you're dead!" or other quasi-retro items for your home then this is a fun browse! Also I can definitely recommend the hazelnut flavoured filter coffee which you can buy in bags of 250 gr or more. Also, if you have coffee beans that you'd like to have ground (if you like me don't own a coffee grinder) they can do this for you at a rate of 10 NOK. A bit peculiar to think that they're charging for this, but I really needed to get the job done so I'm not complaining! The back yard is also lovely with great seating areas. Bar none the best coffee in town. Delighted to discover this awesome cafe on my trip to Sandefjord. The only real brew I had during my week long stay. We had sandwiches made with hearty peasant bread and scrumptious cheese and a delectable homemade cereal bar. And thanks for holding the scarf I forgot. So, this place is a double hit. Two stores in one. The street has a nice coffee and tea shop where you can sit inside or outside. The inside is a rustic throw-back kind of decor with cakes, cupcakes, sweets, coffee, tea and drinks available. For the real gem, go down the alley next to the main store or cut through the store to the back. You'll find a small courtyard with a kind of Cuban feeling. You'd expect to see palm trees and be served mojitos. The store in the back is a 50's ice cream parlor. You will not be disappointed. So far, its the best I've discovered in Sandefjord. I got HUGE sundaes for the kids and an espresso ice cream shake for me and a iced chai latte for my better half. We stayed and had coffee afterwards and also tried the cupcakes from the front store. Hey, it was the national Norwegian celebration yesterday. All you can eat sweets seemed to be in order. If you get a chance to visit, don't pass it up. read more
