Each course is better than the next and we all felt that the arctic char was a special achievement: a large portion that still "belonged" in a fine dining lineup. Everything from the seats to the plates was commendable. Only complaint was that dinner was painfully long. Nearly 4 hours passed between walking in and walking out of the restaurant. Really had us wishing they offered 5:30 PM reservations in Europe.

I've been going on ski holidays to the Alps for years and my expectations are moderate when it comes to these places. The hotel itself was renovated fairly recently (5-7 years?) and it shows. The rooms are significantly larger than I've been used to and all the fixtures and general feel of the place is very good. The beds are comfortable but could use a bit of a refresh. The hotel itself is a small 5 minute walk to the lifts, or just a couple of minutes to the bus stations that will take you to one of the Daille or Fornet. Ski shops and restaurants are located all around, and a market is literally next door making shopping extremely easy. The staff are truly friendly and great, and the meals were generally excellent compared to the usual fare. Very much recommended if you're heading out to Val.

We stayed here for one week and deove to val-d'isere every day for skiing, it takes 10 minutes tops. The only negative thing during our stay was that we got disturbed during the first night as the person living in the room across the hall was talking in the phone in the middle of the night and as the isolation is quite bad could here every word. But this was only a problem the first night. I can really recommend this hotel for a more budget alternative to living in the village of val-d'isere.
