We stayed in the main building which offered an antique feel with some modern amenities like the remodeled bathrooms. There were three different buildings you could stay at: the Château, the Porterie and the Tower. The room was beautiful with all of the furniture complementing the ambiance. It made it easier to imagine old times in the castle, it was like taking a glimpse into the past. As you stared out the massive window you could see the property grounds which include a tennis court, outdoor pool, and even a helicopter pad (if you wanted to make a spectacular entrance). It could be so easy to come here and disconnect from the world. They help you do that by only offering WiFi in the reception area. To start the day they have a breakfast available on the main level of the Château. I'm not sure if this is included or not with your stay because I came here as part of a Topdeck tour and it was included for us. This was one of the most unique accommodations during my two weeks in France. I would love to come back and stay longer in this type of hotel simply to indulge in the history of France.

Thankfully, my friends in the next room were able to let me use theirs. Other than that, the breakfast was very good and they kept filling any empty trays immediately. The tables are already set for each group they expect for breakfast so please do not just sit anywhere. It really is walking distance to Chateau de Chenonceau but we drove over anyhow. They also have bikes for rent and plenty of bike parking and a small parking lot for cars. I would recommend this hotel.

Laurent is an amazingly warm, gracious, charming, welcoming host who makes you feel like you are an old friend who has just returned home. He made our stay an absolute pleasure. Nothing was too hard for him. 2. The food. All home made by the chef. Freshly made croissants every morning were amazing. Dinner was a feast. 3. The location and hotel were charming and well placed to travel around the Loire. Roaring log fires and comfy chairs certainly help. Would happily stay here again and again and again.

There are many stuffed animals in one corridor and lots of nooks and crannies to explore. The salon is beautiful. To reach the pool, you walk through an underground tunnel which also houses a wine cellar. A pond and wildlife are visible from the lawn. Continental breakfast available for 12 euros and is completely French. When traveling through the Loire Valley, make this a stopover for the night. There are only 12 rooms available so plan ahead! I would have liked to spend more time here because it is so lovely.

We stayed for 4 nights in the Catherine suite (all of the 12 rooms are named for members of the owner's family) which was a huge room on the 1st floor (2nd floor in the US) with 11 foot timbered ceilings, 3 large double windows (at least 5 ft tall each), a small adjoining turret room and a very large bath room with claw foot tub, giant tiled shower, heated towel rack and more. I don't believe the room has A/C but as we visited in late September, opening up the windows a bit was just fine. In the back they have a large pool that is available from mid May to Mid September and there is a lot of property if one wishes to explore. The view out our window was of the woodland pond and fields. Breakfast (continental only) is included at the leisurely hours of 830 to 1100 in case you want to sleep in like the lords and ladies of bygone days. You will need a car to explore the area and to go into town (4KM) for dinner.

This hotel made my skin crawl…read more Don't get me wrong, the amenities offered were good, like the breakfast & pool, but there is a bit of an infestation problem in the rooms. After seeing about 6 nymph german cockroaches in my room, I called and requested a room change. The hotel was actually very accommodating and gave me a new room around midnight. However, as soon as I walked into the new room a spotted another nymph cockroach crawling on the new bed. I would skip this hotel if you dislike roaches is your bed.

There are four floors of room with about 10 rooms per floor. Each room is decorated differently so it does not have the typical cookie cutter hotel feel. The Owners and staff are very friendly and happy to help out with tour and restaurant recommendations. The rooms are cozy and comfortable. In the morning the dining area is open with tea, coffee, yogurt, fresh bread and croissants, and of course my favorite - pain au choclat! Yum. They also serve fresh squeezed OJ and some cheeses and meat slices. It's self serve and you can hang out as long as you want. I really like the location because you can walk in about 10 minutes to either the main shopping area or the Old Town area which is full of great little restaurants and pubs. It also has easy access to the highways and the train station. Very recommended, but be advised they are doing a major expansion. The construction is only during the day and actually not inside but adjacent to the hotel, but it can be distracting if you are trying to snooze during the day.
